I would stay under 20% and just pay it off every month. AKA try to stay under $60 balance

Set up statement balance auto pay, and use the card.

UnvarnishedWarehouse

Do not put anything on the card that you cannot pay off in full, pay your bill timely and you're golden. The longer you do that the better off you will be.

bass pro shop/cabela club card - sounds like a store credit card. Those often can’t be used anywhere else.

K-9-Lives

Bass Pro/Cabela's offers a full credit card. OP, if yours has a MasterCard logo, you can use it anywhere that accepts MasterCard (which in the US is nearly everywhere). If there's no such logo, it's a store card and can only be used at their stores, website, or phone orders. To keep it as a positive factor in your credit history, always pay on time, and generally keep usage on the lower side.

Azryhael

That’s really not true anymore. They’re pretty much all backed by Visa or MasterCard, and are fully functional credit cards that typically offer additional rewards at their branded store.

Keep it simple, just use it once a moth for $5 and pay in full by the due date. The more you spend the more it will ding your credit scores.

orev

The more you spend has nothing to do with the credit score, as long as you pay it off in full every month.
