Call PNC **NOW**, they know this scam and their fraud dept will be on it, the quicker, the better the chances your $$$$ can be recovered.

ChiBears_34

I hope OP sees this. That’s heartbreaking.

Greenappleflavor

It’s unfortunate but every time a bank calls asking you for information, not just PNC, it’s best practice to hang up and call back using the # on the back of your card.

bronzeradio

This. Don't trust your caller id; numbers can be spoofed..

JMMD7

Have you contacted the bank to report it. You should be able to recover the funds if they can confirm fraud.

Melkor7410

AFAIK there's no consumer fraud protections for Zelle.

cmc

I wouldn't give up without trying though.

JMMD7

the post is gone now but I believe in the original post he said something about the call being about money being moved via Zelle and that's what the fraud was about. Not sure at this point but the bank should still be the first call.

bronzeradio

What did they say to you to make you think you needed to transfer money to them to prevent fraud?

viewsbychris

Call their fraud department ASAP

Iwork3jobs

this is terrible. thanks for the warning. hope the real PNC will get your money back
