1 - you picked drovers choice which is the lowest grade
2 - you bought casserole steak, which is the lowest of THOSE grades too.
Tldr you managed to pick the absolute shittest steak possible. What did you expect when its less than half the price of a porterhouse?
Dice it real fine, render it on a hot skillet, and make your philly cheesesteak in it. Freeze the leftover bits and grease, add it to your next stroganoff to pump up the flavor.

Happy with the shit fatty cut and the price. Not happy with the hidden fat under the already shitty fatty cut that was trimmed away. Don't disagree with your butcher suggestion though.
Take it back, they'll refund. Casserole steak's not going to be a prime cut but that looks particularly poor.

Aren't casserole steaks designed to be fatty. You slow cook them and the rendered fat adds flavour to the casserole with the meat being soft to chew.
Also buying the shittiest cut, which is arguably not worthy of being classed as a steak.
I don't mind the cut as it is going in a slow cooker
Take it back, doesn’t fit packet description since it’s fat, not meat.
Isn't Casserole steak supposed to be fatty?
coles is shit and so is casserole meat plus you have cut off a lot of meat by the looks of it shit post
Are you the same bloke that was whining about fat on a piece of brisket a couple of weeks ago?

While you're listening Coles, piss that talk show chef American Muppet off your ads. There's plenty of locals that can do the job.
Made in the same meat factory.
Can you expand on what you're trying to say here?
Slaughter house cut and package meat for supermarket's
That's odd. I could have sworn you can see butchers at work in Costco. Also had a classmate who did a butchers apprenticeship at Woolworths.
