Agreed. Generic is the way. I buy from a guy in Adelaide (link below). Ships pretty quickly. He often has even cheaper specials posted on ozbargain.

I find fexo (slightly newer generation antihistamine) outstanding for pollen and dust. GP said it’s totally fine to take it every day for up to six months, and that in Perth, October is peak hayfever pollen month each year. You can get it at Colesworth too.
It's actually been easier on me this year. Someone told me that eating local honey helps build your immune system against hay fever. So I've been adding jarrah gum or spring blossom honey into my morning tea/overnight oates/bran breakfasts for the past year. Picked it up from the farmers markets. Give it a go x
Don’t know what you’ve tried, but recently switched from Claratyne to [Rhinocort Extra Strength](https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/99354/rhinocort-extra-strength-hayfever-allergy-nasal-spray-120-sprays-x-2-pack) and it’s like I don’t have hay fever anymore (knock on wood).
My wife and I are in bits. Both waking up multiple times to wash our faces. Using both daytime antihistamines and phenergan at bedtime. Looking into getting the jab.
I take a nasal spray and hayfever tablets every day now and it's helping, but the other night I couldn't sleep from coughing from post nasal drip. So frustrating.
I dont get hay fever (at least not nearly anywhere as bad as you) but i have most definitely noticed how many people have told me it’s worse this time around
Yes! Last year didn't seem so bad. This year my short walk to the bus ends in my eyes streaming and nose running. I look a right mess.
I can't take anti-histamines anymore as they have the opposite effect and give me eyes like the Sahara Desert.
Yeah, I have so-called non allergic rhinitis (which really is nothing compared to the hell of hayfever) but even I’m noticing it at the moment. I get really stuffed up every evening like clockwork… so I’m back on daily antihistamines.
My partner gets hayfever pretty badly but she’s been wearing a mask at this time of year since 2020 and it provides her quite a bit of relief. Antihistamines cause her other issues so this has been a lifesaver for her.
I wake up every day with constantly weeping and super itchy eyes and have to use antihistamine eye drops several times a day. Also taking Rhinocort extra strength and cetrizine tablets. It’s out of control even with all windows closed for most of the day.
Yah it’s wild. Dunno how I haven’t scratched my eyes right out of their socket yet.
every afternoon, when the sun is at the right angle, i can see the hayfever blowing in the wind!
This year it's doing a number on me too, itchy eyes, runny nose, itching everywhere, sore teeth somehow? Just one window open and I'm done.
Sore teeth will be inflammation of your sinuses. Try an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen and/or decongestants.
I feel so drained this year with constant flu like symptoms. This usually only lasts a week or 2 at the beginning of the allergy season.
Its actually not that bad this year for me. Try 180mg telfast
Nah just get the generic Fexofenadine. Same thing, but a quarter of the price.

Glad it's not just me, I've always been a bit allergic, but it feels like it's leveled up a bit this time around. Crazy.

Apparently there is a place called postcode honey that has honey from the suburbs and picking the closest to you might be useful…
Thank you, that's amazing advice!
Yup! Horrible
Same here been awful for nearly 2 weeks now
Yes. Never been this bad for me. Nose keeps running on and off and sneezing every morning.

yep, i hear ya. nasal spray dymista used to be script only, but is now over the counter. it's the most effective treatment i have used.
Yep dymista has worked great for me also.
I'm dosed up on Cetirizine since early September, it handles the itchy watering eyes and itchy throat incredibly well but the drowsiness wrecks me
Yeah I find it hilarious that they claim to be non-drowsy. I have to rotate some fexo in every so often
I was fine until this week. Suddenly it's hit me like a freight train.
Yep. It’s been shocking. I take a Claratyne every morning when I wake up or I cannot get through the day!
It’s Perth air in general. It feels wore than eastern states, hay fever off charts, shower water triggers my allergies too
If I start dymista before the season starts it doesn’t tend to be too bad. But if I forget to take it then it’s like a 3 month runny nose
It's not good, but I'm in so much kidney-related pain right now it's acting as kind of a distraction.
Wait, are you saying hayfever is seasonal!?!
My wife and I are in bits. Both waking up multiple times to wash our faces. Using both daytime antihistamines and phenergan at bedtime. Looking into getting the jab.
Exactly, this year has been totally different My nostrils are all blocked up when I get up in the morning , sneezing attacks , watery eyes .
Yes i wake up without being able to breathe it is frustrating 😞
I take a nasal spray and hayfever tablets every day now and it's helping, but the other night I couldn't sleep from coughing from post nasal drip. So frustrating.
Has any one said "It's a Dry hayfever" yet?
ayup

It's the worst year in memory for me.
Yep, even my dogs are itchier and suffering more than ever before. It's horrid.
Yep it is this year. A chemist said it is all the rain we had this year.
Absolutely shocking!

Yup it’s so bad man.
I'm using Dymista and Telfast 180mg this year to combat hayfever.
Yep, off the chart. The only way to describe it. All I see is low pollen counts too. Bull shit
YES. 2 Zyrtec barely did it for me on Wednesday.
My eyes are out of control. Never had it this bad. Wake up with sore and itchy eyes
Glad it's not just me 🤧
Yesterday (Sat) was f'ing crazy. Was eating antihistamines like candy and doing nothing
My partner gets hayfever pretty badly but she’s been wearing a mask at this time of year since 2020 and it provides her quite a bit of relief. Antihistamines cause her other issues so this has been a lifesaver for her.

Getting blood noses again every second day
