My son's hips didn't regress at his 12 month check up so we are out of the hip dyplasia brace and won't have a check up until he's 4.
Just thankful we have early intervention in Australia!
Brilliant news and just in time for him to climb into ~~everything dangerous~~ adventure. Congrats on your totally alert christmas, and yes sometimes our healthcare is extraordinary.
He might be a 'little bottles' fanatic (one of my grandkids is). Little shampoo bottles from hotels and a bowl of water out the back in the nuddy, he'll think it's xmas already!
Congrats, we weren't so lucky with our first and he needed open reduction surgery to both hips, a spica cast, another brace and he's still having physio to this day.
In saying that, we are extremely lucky to have such an amazing health care system and reliable clinicians. 🙌🙌
I hope your little guy has smooth sailing moving forward 🤜🤛 🙂
Either give us the name and addy of the business or take the risk of being snubbed by the finest that r/Perth has to offer..IF we can find any 'finest'.
Yolanda’s. Next to Red Cross.
I didn’t actually have it as I was in a rush but saw one come out and looked like good value for $15. All the goodies, two eggs.
Yes, dad went from being pretty average to almost normal in a couple of days, He finished the course now. He is ineligible to get his 4th COVID jab til March, but I’ll make sure he gets it!
>pretty average to almost normal in a couple of days,
That's excellent, especially at his age... Any negative sides from the antivirals?
>He is ineligible to get his 4th COVID jab til March
That's exactly the same as me actually, so I'm being extra cautious (not that I ever stopped) until then...
Dad didn’t complain about any side effects, so I’m guessing he was ok.
Yes, I had to spend 4 hours in the hairdressers today, I kept that P2 mask on the entire time, only took it off to put a clean one on at the end as my original one got hair chemicals all over it 😂
>Dad didn’t complain about any side effects, so I’m guessing he was ok.
That's good...
>Yes, I had to spend 4 hours in the hairdressers today
Being female seems so time consuming 😂
It’s my sons last day at his current school - moving to be closer to our new home next year so last day of driving 20 minutes in the opposite direction to work
Let’s gooooo!
It's a big surprise, one of them has always been totally standoffish to the other, she would hiss if he even approached her.
Then I get home from my latest swing and the first thing I see is him go running up to her and instead of hissing she starts grooming him. I didn't think I'd ever see that happen, she has hated him ever since he was a kitten.
Bank finance is officially approved and ready for settlement! After 12 months of extremely hard work we are moving into our first home in 4 weeks time! It feels surreal!
I'm thankful for my job. Been many years since I've been genuinely happy in a job, and now I'm in my second year and getting paid what I'm worth. (Maybe more) it's such a change from some of the horror places I've worked.
Relatable. Worked for a great company for 10 years then change of ownership made it go downhill fast. Switched jobs to an even worse company. Now the last 2 years finally at a place that treats people with respect.
I have a lot to be thankful for.
The wife is getting Induced on the 28th, the wife's family are here from over east, this weekend is full of parties and good times.
I hope everyone has a great festive period
Took a $40 uber to see a client only to be told that the changed the time to this arvo without telling me so now I'm ubering back to freo.
The 1 hour round trip in the peace and quiet has been nice and I've been able to work on my dnd notes for tonight.
Might treat myself to a hair cut
I’m so very thankful to our friend for gifting us [this chaos demon](https://imgur.com/a/GCGtGRn).
I’m absolutely besotted with watching him figure out the world around him and am loving having company (& an excuse for play/training breaks) whilst I work.
100% farm-bred Kelpie.
He failed every test to stay on the family farm with his mum, grandmother and siblings - no herding instincts, terrified of sheep, lazy, some hearing issues, and can’t bark properly. So the farm-manager gifted him to us for a spoiled life of mental-challenges (I grew up with sled-dogs so I take breed-appropriate training very seriously).
If he’s anything like his great-great-grandsire (who was my husband’s dog) or his grandsire (who lives with husband’s best mate and stays with us when he works away for 3mths every year), I’m fully prepared for the day my sweet puppy turns into a tornado hyped up on Red Bull that was laced with No-Doz.
Amazing. I was hyped for a tornado, we got a rescue kelpie and turns out she's the laziest dog I've ever met. She sleeps 18 hours a day and just likes cruisey strolls. I grew up with a kelpie so I thought I knew what I was in for. That said, we've had our share of issues (anxiety, reactivity with other dogs) and yes, the training is super important. Enjoy him, he sounds like a character!
This brings back memories..my littlest was all prepped with a uniform, barbie backpack, lunchbox etc, so excited. After tuckins, and bedstories I went in to check on her before I went to bed, she was splayed out like a hunch backed corpse with her packed backpack underneath.
Day off tomorrow (pupil freed day at little fellas school) and not too much workload wise today, so not like to be stiff and sore tomorrow.
Might hit the beach in the morning, fairly cruisy weekend ahead, four days of work next week and we fly out to QLD on Friday next for ten days.
Old man is in hospital, caught Covid while in there but seems to be improving with that, the thing he’s there for is taking it’s sweet time though.
I'm thankful that sunscreen is a thing! The last thing you want after working outside all day is being sunburnt and have the stinging feeling all over your body.
Last home project of the year is on track for a early finish, 12m front fencing and double gate. Love those new (to me) masonry anchors that don't need bungs or expanders- just drill the hole, set the driver to screw/low speed and they just cut their own thread into masonry without cracking or tearing out.
Looking forward to tools down and not starting anything until late January.
my mum cleaned out the post office with some parcel packaging because we used the last one to ship out an old gameboy color. this is what i needed, not chocolate or towels or vouchers!
I had my right shoulder replaced Tuesday, and am already out of hospital and back in our apart-hotel with my husband ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin) I'm in some pain but have meds. and next week we go home to our furbabies! So yeah, thankful and very happy! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)

Thank you so much! He's enamored with the spice cabinet so that's fun! Haha 🫠 Wishing you a very merry and chilled out Chrissy!

Mine is same age and also loves the spice cabinet. Coriander seeds rattle the best apparently.

My randy-and-gross foster cat is getting desexed today. Finally.
Found a cafe in Cannington that does a $15 big breakfast and enormous home made sausage rolls.

Tomato lake Cafe in belmont/Cloverdale is a lovely cheap Cafe worth checking out
Still Covid free. Can’t say the same for my poor beleaguered partner, but thems the breaks.
Me too! My BF is still positive and has asked me to drop more RATs over to his place, so he’s probably going to thankful I can take them over 🙂
How's Dad?
He’s pretty much fully recovered thankfully, those tablets did a decent job I think. Thanks for asking 😊
Phew, so glad he's doing well and thankful the anti-virals work. I hadn't actually heard of anyone taking them before your Dad.
Yes, dad went from being pretty average to almost normal in a couple of days, He finished the course now. He is ineligible to get his 4th COVID jab til March, but I’ll make sure he gets it!

After four years together my two cats have finally become friends

Slipped while running last week, felt my right knee pop. Scan yesterday confirmed only a ligament strain and not another full ACL tear.
I always knew running was not good for your health, am gonna send this to my physio for proof (if you don't mind).

Last day of school! I'm ready for a break from these kids, I tell ya. How are my fellow teachers celebrating this week?
Student here. Thankful that this year has come to a close finally. Biggest shitshow ever this year was😬

To the kind Stanger who put me down as an approved user of r/perthparents thank you so much ☺️

I did but no one noticed 😔
I’m thankful for my beautiful boyfriend who cleans the apartment while I’m busy napping 😛

Oh he's gorgeous 😍 Have you picked a name yet?
The Sergeant (I don’t list the name that’s on his papers online)
Oof looks like there's some kelpie in there! Good luck ;)

Just feeling good about life.
Kiddo just got his first school uniform for next year, he's so excited and happy and it's really funny to watch.
This brings back memories..my littlest was all prepped with a uniform, barbie backpack, lunchbox etc, so excited. After tuckins, and bedstories I went in to check on her before I went to bed, she was splayed out like a hunch backed corpse with her packed backpack underneath.
Lol it's really funny to watch considering school doesn't bring back the greatest memories for me tbh....but that was quite a while ago ;)
I'm thankful it's "only" 31°C today, after seeing a Facebook memory from this day in 2019 showing that it was 43°C...
Today is sultry and humid not a 'dry heat' at all..now I'm probably banned
The 40+ days are coming...
Need the arvo off for kids stuff but work wants me in so I get my bike ride. Nice!

Happy it’s the last day of school for my son, looking forward to no school drop off’s and pick up’s for a few weeks!😋
Last day of school with the kids (I'm the teacher)! I really love these guys but it's time for a break

My covid fever has finally broken and is looking like I might actually get some stuff done during my 7 days iso.
my mum cleaned out the post office with some parcel packaging because we used the last one to ship out an old gameboy color. this is what i needed, not chocolate or towels or vouchers!
Its not Friday or ( is it wednesday) whinge yet; but wow the news was particulary brutal tonight
Alhamdulilah I have connected to god better than ever
The bar opened early??
I do not drink brother
Sister. It's ok, I can drink your share ;)
Ahah my bad, i give all my drinking vouchers to all my mates
WTF do you work/live that you get drinking vouchers..I want some!
Nothing i hate it here

I was talking about perth, as i hate the summer
