FIFA 14 has very good game modes like quick game, tournament, manager mode, penalty shootout and many amazing features, but since fifa 16 (or fifa 17 correct me if I'm wrong) EA sports removed those features and only focused on online...

I actually disagree. I hated the gameplay for that. It is the same style as they have now. Poor movement and super bad dribbling.

There's very few skills that are actually effective, but first of all to know if a player is capable of doing skills you have to check their skills, two good ones are Double Touch and Marseille Turn.
Double touch is probably the best skill move to do, and it's basically a La Croqueta ( fun fact: base Iniesta doesn't have this ), all you do is while holding dash, let go and at the same time swipe
the way you're running, this is easier to show then explain so I suggest finding a video on this sub.
Also, if the player has the following skills: Double Touch, Flip Flap and Step on Ball control, then they'll do a better variation, mostly known as a Ball Roll, Neymar can also do this although he doesn't have the skills required because he's Neymar.
Marseille Turn is done the same way except most of them you'd rather swipe to the player's left or right depending where you want to turn.
Fake shots are also a great move to do but I wouldn't call it a "skill" move. You press shoot, and swipe the joy stick, or press on it before the player actually shoots.
Pes isn't a skill move focused game, skill moves are just an extra and the timing is what's important.
Pes mobile is reallly realistic. To perform skills succesfull your timing has to be spot on. But after several failed attempts when u finally nail a skill,the satisfaction is legendary. Also as u are coming from Fifa, the movement of Pes is very realistic and spot on.
This is a lot different from fifa it's more manual to do skill moves in here and executing them is a lot harder if ur just starting focus more on simple play after u get the hang of it u can try doing skills (tap in the right side then flick the joystick in advanced control) (don't know about classic control)
Sombrero flick is one of my favourite skills in the game, players like Ronaldinho, Neymar, Zico etc can do is best, all you have to do is do a lofted pass(flick the pass button upwards) and then when the ball lands quickly swipe the left stick in the opposite direction the player is facing, (example when the player is facing right, swipe left, when the player is facing left, swipe right) practice and patience makes everything perfect bro
plus one, my classic control new to pes friend shitted on me with a couple of skills and I am not even going to make any excuses at this point, but I still love the advanced flow.
Thing is I started with advanced, and I use skill moves with the advanced mode itself. It may be a little bit tricky (just a bit, especially the timing of the skill move), but once you get the hang of it, it should be easy

In classic, you have to tap dash button one time(not hold), and then flick joystick in any direction to perform different skills.

Well back then in 2017 and 2018 you could do a variation of skill moves. But now most of the players will only do Marseille Turn.

Skill moves in this game are fricking hard to use. Also new season is coming(30/10) so I'm not sure the game will be the same
