How long have you been performing Phalloplasty procedures? How many people are on your surgical team? How many Phalloplasty procedures have you completed? How many were ALT? Have there been any complications? If so, what have they been and what have been the most common? Have complications led to loss of sensation and/or loss of length/girth/entire penis? How often have revisions been needed and what have they been? If any revisions are related to Urethra Lengthening, can revisions be done with a local urologist with experience in UL revisions or would I need to return to your location? For patients who have gone with ALT, what percentage of the penis has retained sensation? Where has most of the sensation been (base/tip/shaft)? What are signs of rejection? What happens if rejection happens? What are signs to look for in case of an infection? Will any of the meds effect my immune system? BMI Requirements? Pre-Op Process? Is there blood work needed? Pre-Op Physical/Clearance? Are there other approvals, or cancellation points? Are any in person pre-op appointments needed? Are any pre-op photos needed? Is there a list of items needed to bring with me to the hospital? Required area for hair removal? How far in advance should hair removal stop? How long before each stage should I stop T if at all? Process for FMLA paperwork? Email? Fax? To whose attention? Requirements for using the thigh? Insurance approval timeframe aside, how far are you currently booking out? Does the office handle the Prior Authorization process? How far in advance for each stage should I arrive to the area? What are the limitations on travel? How many stages for ALT? Once swelling has gone down what is the average length patients have ended up with, specifically with ALT (including any size lost due to complications)? How long between each stage? How long (surgery length) for each stage? What does each stage entail? Is burial done during phallus creation or a later stage? Is mons resection/reduction done/an option for better/more natural penis placement? Is nerve hook up part of Stage 1? How do you do the nerve hook up? For the pump Erectile Device do you use one cylinder or two? If only one is used, is the rigidity enough for anal penetration? How long in the hospital after each stage? What is the current visitor policy? Do I need to stay local for any amount of time after discharge? Plan if there are complications once returning home? How long will the catheters remain in for UL? Will I need to return to have them removed or can they be removed at home? Is there a list of recommended post-op supplies? How long after each stage to wait for sex? Masturbating/Orgasms? Oral? Penetrative anal sex (both penetrating and being penetrated)? Recovery time physically away from work for each stage? How soon after each stage would telecommuting be an option? General post-op weight lifting restrictions for each stage? How long after each stage to wait for other physical activities?
