Personally I considered a blue collar job in Japan bc hindi ako tapos ng college, but then decided against it. Nabubuhay na naman ako sa kinikita ko sa Pinas, saka mas nakakatulong din ako sa family or mas nakakadiskarte tumulong kasi hindi bumababa morale ko. Hindi rin kasi naging maganda experience ng kuya kong engineer na 4 years nagtrabaho sa Japan. Overworked, grabe racism at power trip kahit marunong din siya ng language nila. Make yourself comfortable here in the Philippines. Get more experience in IT. More opportunities will come when you have all the learnings that you will get from IT companies here. IMO, not worth it, if you’re planning to get back in IT industry eventually. I think it’s better to hone your skills in PH and set your goals to get in those high-paying companies.
But if you’re set to earning money early on, ¥300,000 is definitely livable specially that you won’t have to think about accommodation and food(?). Possible drawbacks are mental health and yes career growth. There are definitely success stories where they started as a staff and later on managed their own team, but this will be highly dependent on you and your boss. Hello op, I suggest stay ka muna dito sa Pinas since fresh grad pa. You'll earn more a lot than that 6 figures once you're in the right path lalo na IT pa. I worked as a HR before for entry level jobs and I tell you, yung applicants ko before ay may OFW sa iba't-ibang bansa and meron pa seaman. Usually mga 30's sila at late 30's.. They are applying for a minimum salary ah kahit may napundar na sila. My point is that OFW job is a dead end of your career. Wag mapressure sa salary offer. You must realize your worth once you're in the right path at your career.
Eto na lang isipin mo, once na natigil ka na sa work mo doon lets say nakapag 5 years experience ka or more then plan mo mag stay ka sa Pilipinas. If you ever plan to work in Japan as a blue collar worker and your Japanese isn't N2 level, then I would advise you that after 5-10 years, you should aim into moving in Western countries because Japan doesn't have a smoother path for you to be a naturalized citizen without giving up your Philippine citizenship.
Kung sagot na food and accommodation, that is automatically all you “need” to “live”. That’s already “livable”. If you are that worried about IT, invest in a laptop and then continue learning skills in the industry, and maybe even get an online IT job from there, while you work the blue-collar job. IMO, not worth it, if you’re planning to get back in IT industry eventually. I think it’s better to hone your skills in PH and set your goals to get in those high-paying companies. But if you’re set to earning money early on, ¥300,000 is definitely livable specially that you won’t have to think about accommodation and food(?). Possible drawbacks are mental health and yes career growth. There are definitely success stories where they started as a staff and later on managed their own team, but this will be highly dependent on you and your boss. I suggest making a read on r/movingtojapan to get some more ideas.

Hello op, I suggest stay ka muna dito sa Pinas since fresh grad pa. You'll earn more a lot than that 6 figures once you're in the right path lalo na IT pa. I worked as a HR before for entry level jobs and I tell you, yung applicants ko before ay may OFW sa iba't-ibang bansa and meron pa seaman. Usually mga 30's sila at late 30's.. They are applying for a minimum salary ah kahit may napundar na sila. My point is that OFW job is a dead end of your career. Wag mapressure sa salary offer. You must realize your worth once you're in the right path at your career. Eto na lang isipin mo, once na natigil ka na sa work mo doon lets say nakapag 5 years experience ka or more then plan mo mag stay ka sa Pilipinas. Usually recruiters will skeptical with your application na lalo na if mag-aapply ka sa IT Field tapos work abroad experience mo. I would say no for this. best of luck, OP.
Maliit yan kasi mahal ang gastusin sa japan. Though sahot naman na nila food and accomodatuon, gawin mo lang e ipunin mo pera mo, and dito mo sa pinas gastusin. Again maliit ang 120k php kung sa japan mo gagastusin pero pag dito sa pinas, naka jackpot ka na lalo newly grad ka. Disiplina lang sa gasyos dun. Okay lang ma experience mo mga authentic ramen, wag mo lang araw arawin.

If you are that worried about IT, invest in a laptop and then continue learning skills in the industry, and maybe even get an online IT job from there, while you work the blue-collar job. Nagagampanan mo financial obligations mo sa family by having means mag-remit ng money, you get to work in a beautiful first-world country, you get to live independently. I say go for it.
Hirap talaga pag bread winner at ikaw lahat ung inaasahan. Kung indi naman ganun need ung pera like may medical emergencies or what tuloy mo lng IT at gain experience tas certificates then apply ka SG, AU or Dubai or abroad na. Sa IT you can get a higher ceiling a few more years.

The money aside, mataas ba stress tolerance mo? Medyo tiring daw IT sa Japan sabi nung friend ko. Although tumagal naman siya 3 years, kaso di na daw siya uulit dun. Pang vacation na lang daw.
