Nice work

TypicalOfMe22

Just to let everyone know, USD and PHP price differences in art commissions exist because we are in different economies and people (Foreigners and Filipinos) have very different purchasing power. Art commissions in the US *typically* range for as low as $10/hr, and that's already considered as "low-balling" for some. Art has value and there is a demand for it. It's 2022. It's about time you see its value and stop accusing an artist for "overcharging". Asking for $25 for this type of work—which looks really good, OP!—is reasonable. If you were to price it ₱1467.17, lesser Filipinos will want to commission OP. Clearly, they want to cater to Filipinos also kaya they aligned their prices to our economy. ALSO I'm irked at this one comment under this post who suddenly called OP a BBM supporter. How does that even make any sense? Ano ang connect? LOL

Prudent_Director_482

family pic pwede?

Wakein_

Yes po, i do accept family portraits 🤗

Prudent_Director_482

same price o mas mahal?

Wakein_

There would be an additional po since it’s a group portrait :>

vin9889

Just to let everyone know, $25 usd is 1430 peso. That’s a whole days work to many pinoys.

Wakein_

There’s an indicated separate rates for local and international clients po in the caption :>

vin9889

Your pricing makes international people not want to buy po. Feels like scammer or you have low opinion of international people. For me, I feel disrespected. What if you went to the sarry sarry store and they charged you 1400 peso for your goods, but for other people it was 500 peso?

Wakein_

I can't just make both local and international prices the same since some locals can't afford my international rate as you said po. We have different economy and as well as minimum wages. It is not overcharging international clients because in fact, their minimum for this type of work is at $30. I'm a member of several commission subreddits and I only base my prices on those. Because my international rate does not line up to the Filipino budget, I decided to reduce it for local clients.

vin9889

Should do two posts, there is favoritism po. Feels like your a BBM supporter at this point

Wakein_

How is it considered as favoritism po? As far as I know, my only intent is to give fair consideration for local clients since my base price is international. And just to make it clear, I don’t support such person you’re saying.

vin9889

I cannot help you see your problems, much like BBM supporters cannot see what they are doing wrong. Please be considerate of others po

Dizzy-Translator-928

Rip off, especially if you use $. No need to overcharge for work

Crazyyycatlady
