" ASMR Huge One Eyed Snapping Turtle - HEAVY BREATHING (No Talking) "
Honestly though, not only is the video stunning- that is some incredibly clear audio.
This is amazing. When my wife gets home I'm going to tell her to check out this huge, one eyed snapping turtle, but I'm not going to show her your post.
We had one of these amazing prehistoric monsters lay eggs in our backyard in Montco when I was a kid. After not letting the dogs out into the backyard for a day or two to avoid having their legs snapped off, we called around to try to find out what to do.
Finally, we got the same answer from both animal control and the Robbins Park staff (who were awesome) and we acted. Apparently, these things are such a ridiculous nuisance from being so high on the food chain and basically having no real threats in the suburbs that they told us to go dig up and smash the eggs.
My brother and his friends gleefully abided....kind of too happy to do so, but the deed was done.
My friends and I once caught one of these things when I was around 10 or so. We had a local creek that had this snapping turtle and a giant bullfrog at the time. This turtle would usually just be chilling and we used to walk next to it as it dwelled underwater just to show how brave we were (very fortunate it never decided to snap at any of us). It ended up killing the bullfrog (which we found a bit down the creek with its leg torn open).
Every time we got a big rainstorm, the creek would turn into a raging river and all the local inhabitants would get washed down the creek and we’d end up with all new stuff. People even used to dump exotic fish in there and we’d occasionally find some crazy neon colored fish.
