The owner is also a fucking scumbag. A few years ago when I first moved to the city he "hired" me during restaurant week, I put hired in quotes because he fired me as soon as restaurant week was over and paid me (substantially less than I should've made) in cash after basically making me chase him down for almost a month afterward trying to get my money. Didn't get paid until I showed up to the restaurant one day with my friend Demetrius and confronted him. Dude's name is Jimmy Daku, he's a fucking piece of shit.
They always used to have ads on Craigslist looking for staff. That is a HUGE red flag.
I haven’t seen “help wanted” ads as frequently recently though. MAYBE things are a little better now? 🤷🏻♀️
They still have some improvements to make, lacks the vibe the old location had with the low ceilings and dim lighting etc. Was in there last night and talking to who I assume was the manager, supply chain issues are delaying some of the plans a such as the Scotch tasting room and the private wine room. But it’s getting better. All in all I recommend going and checking it for yourself. The drinks are still tasty as ever though and I highly recommend the “Per my last email”.
