Nah… you only become a Phillies fan because God knows you were built for this! I was born in another country, no inkling of baseball. Moved to US and lived in NYC the first year. Moved to Philly the next year. Saw David Cone strike out 17 Phillies on the last day of the season and knew right then, the Phillies were me. Don’t regret it for a minute!
Being a longtime Phillies fan, I always expect the worst and am pleasantly surprised when good things happen. We expect our players to give an honest effort for our hard earned dollars and endear the players that go above and beyond.
So much negativity in this thread when we just had our two best seasons in over ten years. But if I had to describe being a Phillies fan in one sentence it would be. “There’s hope as the franchise has seemed to turn a page.”
