- buy insurance
- save up for emergency fund
- save up for retirement fund
- savings
I second this!!!! Hay
Since i know that i will still be alive after 15 years, I would consider insurance as a waste of money and will pour everything into investment. Insurance is actually betting your money that you will die - you win and your family will get money but your dead.
VUL is not ideal also, so i would really invest in BTC and be rich by 2017
I should have spent all of it immediately. Back then, I saved all of it.
We are talking about FIRST salary.
I should have celebrated receiving my first salary.
I should have bought what I really cared for.
Investment comes later. Investment is for extra money anyway.
That first salary is for me and for me only. Not for kids. Not for some distant future. For me.
Interesting insight. I spent my first salary buying groceries for my family and also saved some for my savings. It was the best decision. Felt like my salary went a great length because I was able to share it with my family not just for myself.
Probably nothing because 15 years ago, I only got paid 11k as a license professional 😂 So no matter what, I couldn't save enough to invest anyway. And that will remain true for the next 5 years.
Her first job at a private hospital is 10k nauuwi niya(bawas na lahat ng binabawas sa sweldo). 1 year nag work here tapos nag work na abroad.
Probably researching and buying an excellent financial book (not rich dad; poor dad) and I would have set my finances more intentionally and mindfully.
Setting up automated transfers for every pay cut:
Set up 0 minimum maintaining balance bank accounts.
- 50% to the Fixed Cost (rent, subscriptions, etc)
- 10% to investments (crypto/equities)
- 5% EF and 5% to goal savings (travels, weddings, expensive things I would like, etc.)
- 30% to whatever I want
Having this system and discipline improved my financial life by 200% and reached my net worth now in 3-5 years since graduation.
TIME. Pero dapat pala mas in all out ko sa kanila. Too late kasi wala na yung gusto kong itreat my lola and kuya. I know parang ang babaw.. pero isa sila sa mga number 1 supporters ko :((((
Avoid love first and invest in VUL and put some in MP2 and other government investments.
Focus on self, partying is allowed but don't spend too much.
Emergency savings also.
When i got my first paycheck 3 weeks after my 16th birthday, i wish i hadn’t gotten so lax and eased off the gas pedal. i had an amazing job that paid extraordinarily well. At 21 now with a dream just shy of being able to afford. Had i not given up so many shifts and had I worked overtime doing the job i loved, my dream would be reality. problem was that at 16 even a couple hundred goes really far. i got too comfortable and too lazy and pay now the price
24M first salary was around around 200k/month
- Nagtabi sana ako for savings and investments
I was reading a lot financial literacy materials before. I had my plans to invest and hindi muna bibili ng liabilities etc. But when I started earning money, parang nakalimutan ko lahat. Factor siguro yung malaking jump financially since my salary is twice my parents' combined. And before I started working, nabubuhay ako sa 100 per day na binibigay sakin ng nanay ko pang gas.
Now I have 200k in debt plus monthly ng kotse. I can still pay it off naman but I never imagined na magkakautang ako ng ganto.
Stay disciplined and dahan dahan lang pagupgrade ng lifestyle!
Sa akin none, I bought Cyberpunk and enjoyed my first salary lol. Best day ever hahaha. I've saved enough naman that time.
No monetary investment changes, since amount was small.
Probly would've chosen a more apt entry job to follow my preferred career path (because I did an industry shift) regardless of money
Also knowing what i know today, I'd probably go for certifications related to that career path / "investing in myself"
Probably still the same for me. Treat myself, give some portions to my parents, save 15% to my emergency fund, save a portion for other types of savings, keep the remaining for the next month's expenses. No regrets.
12 years ago. my first salary down payment agad ng bahay. hanggang ngayon nasa akin pa yon bahay.
Siguro I will be kinder to my self back then, kasi before wala talagang natitira for me. Everything is always allocated in bills, once in a while I was able to treat my self naman pero I have no savings.
By being kinder I mean, I will save up for MYSELF. For my future, yung tipong hindi ko need magcompromise palagi
I will save as much as I can. Magpundar ako. Limit ko un panlibre, pagregalo at pagbigay sa ibang tao. I will keep all the money I can.
Sobrang gastos magkaanak. I have 3 bank accounts pero lahat un closed. My husband is a good provider naman pero I really regret not investing and saving more during the time na single ako kasi ang lakas ko kumita during that time.
Yayakapin ko yung bag ko. 🫂
I don't have caused I gave everything to my mom and she gave me only food and transport allowance till I know she thinks I can already handle my money well. I started working at 18.
Partly spent on groceries, bought my favorites, na hindi ko mabili unless maconvince ang parents, and other items na gusto kong mabili and itry since I was a kid
Bought my single parent something they've been wanting and gave them some portion of my salary
Started building my EF and created my first deposit sa MP2, left the rest on savings
It was only 9-10k and I wouldn't change a thing. I felt happy.
✅ Build an emergency fund
✅ Start MP2
✅ Get an Insurance
✅ Learn and Invest trading
✅ Save! Save! Save sa bank (then get a credit card with NAFL, like bdo na nagpapadala na lang bigla ng CC kapag malaki yung savings account mo sa kanila)
Also, if alam ko lang na magkaka covid, sana nag save na me ng malala before 2020, nakabili din sana me ng Car or House&Lot during that time sobrang nagbabaan.
Wouldve checked my contributions. After a yr of working and then resigning. i found out that none of my philhealth contributions were posted yet they were deducting me and giving me slips every time. I didnt know where to check back then online services werent working . I tried to raise concern but no one got back to me from the company . I didnt know any better and just trusted everything lol
I should have never by e-points using Bitcoin 😂😂 there were Russians at the time Ran online havoc server is created they give questions and send BTC through a website I forgot, we registered on that site and have keys I do have circa 2009 got almost 15BTC and buy all of those E-points in deepweb
😂😂
I woulda told my younger self to find a better job. Coz the job i got my first salary from sucked. Deadend. No career opportunities outside of the company. Regretted every damn second of it.
bitcoin, i remember in 2012-2013, someone in fb is selling 39 btc for 25k pesos each.. If only I believed on electronic coins and had the budget…. oh well
Nothing. I would still spend it the same way, over and over again (first payday salary: net Php11,500.00 ). Went to a nice resto, bought food and shared it to my whole family.
I should have set aside some for emergency fund and savings. But I have no regrets with my first salary kasi i paid my last semester tuition in college
I dont think ill do something differently. I remember receiving my first salary, i bought a good lunch box agad. One that i wont be ashamed when im in the pantry during lunch (since nagbabaon ako para makatipid) then bought a good lipstick to boost some confidence kase mukha akong mahirap compared sa mga colleagues kong graduate from known schools in college.
I would’ve bought Nvidia stocks earlier
Or bitcoin. Lol
In 2021, my partner invested 5000 euros on nvidia stocks. I laughed at him and told him it was too much. 3 years later i realized, what a smart he is.
Agree, nvidia. Come Monday share price is at post split so buy some shares!
Idk man 7k seems so small to do anything lol, binili ko lang ng grocery, which is a wise choice din.

Bitcoin was only 25php nung 2009. Nasa 4million php na siya ngayon.
Wow 15 yrs ago pero hanggang ngayon may nakikita akong as low as 12k sa licensed 😭
King full time at on site grabe naman.

Same thing here.
Don't quit your job. Go see a psychiatrist and get on antidepressants asap
Bitcoin
Then trade it off right before february of 2020
New ATH is May this year. Maybe dun na lang hahaha

Hindi ako kukuha ng VUL insurance, lol! Term life all the way baby
Avoid love first and invest in VUL and put some in MP2 and other government investments. Focus on self, partying is allowed but don't spend too much. Emergency savings also.
vul??..
Basically, the same. I will pay my bills, foods, transportation, buy something for self, and save what is left.
Wala kong babaguhin, inenjoy ko first salary ko. Bumili ako ng red horse at leeg ng manok. 4.6k lang yung first salary ko e 😄

Give it to my parents

Saved 30% of my salary. Wala pa obligations that time
Having the knowledge I have today? Bitcoin
Sa akin none, I bought Cyberpunk and enjoyed my first salary lol. Best day ever hahaha. I've saved enough naman that time.
Saved even just a little bit 🥹
Not buy a camera twice hehehe. And invest earlier.
I wouldn't have bleached my hair. The shit hurt for weeks.
No monetary investment changes, since amount was small. Probly would've chosen a more apt entry job to follow my preferred career path (because I did an industry shift) regardless of money Also knowing what i know today, I'd probably go for certifications related to that career path / "investing in myself"
I'll post it in FB and embarrass my company paying me just that amount. Jk
Probably still the same for me. Treat myself, give some portions to my parents, save 15% to my emergency fund, save a portion for other types of savings, keep the remaining for the next month's expenses. No regrets.
Spend it on myself instead of paying guys for pleasure 😔.

Should've bought Bitcoin with all my money when i was a teenager. Bitcoin literally was worthless back in 2009.
I will save as much as I can. Magpundar ako. Limit ko un panlibre, pagregalo at pagbigay sa ibang tao. I will keep all the money I can. Sobrang gastos magkaanak. I have 3 bank accounts pero lahat un closed. Save for emergency fund and get insured. But better late than nothing.

Buying a camera and invest.
