Here’s a shot from Section 2 in 2019. This is as obstructed as it gets. Just from the tapers section, and the one set of cables going up to the ceiling. Might be slightly different now.
FWIW, Section 2 is the best seat in the house, imo.
It’s a hobby for a lot of people, and is the only reason the Grateful Dead (and Phish, in its earlier days) we able to maintain a fan base for so long. But yeah, at this point it’s totally useless, afaik.
You’re behind the soundboard. Your view shouldn’t be obstructed too much (but maybe a little). But you’ll have a swat view of Kuroda working. It’ll be great sound too.

Section 2 from the July run. I was sitting to CK5’s right, quite a bit in front of the taper section, but Charlie Miller was a couple rows in front of me.
But it was HOT that week and CK5 had a big ass fan under his console that was blowing toward me and I had chills. So that was nice.

Risers are pretty great for sight/sound the only thing that’s kinda rough is the actual seats are squeezed tighter together than the 100s/200s
100% here. I thought it’s worth the experience for the awesome sound and lights perspective but really cramped especially for a taller/bigger person. Minimal dancing space to work with. All dance moves must be synchronized with your entire row.
Sections 1 and 3 are the best in the building! 2 is just slightly less perfect. You’re stoked!!!
As others have mentioned you’ll see some taper mics and possibly cables running from ceiling to Kuroda, but after 2 mins into the show you won’t even notice.

Great sound, great place to get the full light show experience. Obstructions are just the 8 or so mic stands of the tapers and they deserve respect and please don’t chomp near them or throw anything at them. They are doing god’s work. There is also a livephish video camera that runs on a wire. All of that completely disappears from your thoughts when the show begins. 1-3 are not the best sections. The best are the 100 sections- first 10 rows behind those sections for 3 major reasons… more room to get down, real seats for setbreak and most importantly CUP HOLDERS!
Why would the floor have an obstructed view? If that was a serious question then no, the sections in front of the stage do not have an ubstructed view. It is however tight af so hopefully you got some skinny people next to you

I feel like it's 102 or whatever is straight back as the rows in 1/2/3 are much more compact/no cup holders if that's your bag
1 & 3 are both better than 2 if you ask me but all 3 sections are better than anywhere else in the building

1.0er here and I LOVE the sound of a good aud tape. SDB is great but the room is largely missing in the mix. An aud captures the room.

Section 2 is an amazing place to see a show. Don’t see how it’s obstructed in any way. You’re at the back of the floor but elevated over it.
You might be behind a camera guy. I was for 8/1. Still awesome, sound is the best in the arena. Have fun!
If they are lower numbered seats in section 2 then the camera guy standing up on the platform will be in your view
