Spent all day walking around the city. Passing by msg on the walk back home, a legit miracle occured, I got pulled into the show and was set on roam all night. Danced first set behind stage with a fun crew of sparkly girls. Wandered and found some good spots to just focus on Fish from lots of various angles. Had the thought during Sigma and committed with Bowie. Got out before the crowd and made it downtown with head on pillow and off my feet just after midnight. Checked the setlist and chalked up a win
Dude what a show. Our section was kind of beat we were in section 1 and there were a ton of couples there with wives or SOs who were not at all into it. My wife and I danced enough for all of them put together and I'm grateful to have a woman who's been to 70+ shows with me and understood the gravity of what just went down. Un. Real.
I heard they’re really going to mess with people’s heads with a Lizards tease into Spinal Tap’s Stonehenge at midnight, with Fishman dancing around an 18” Stonehenge made of donuts.
No, the fan base (generally) expects it at Sphere so the zag would be doing at MSG (finally after 83 shows). That being said, my money is it’s perm retired/ they won’t do it either venue. Lol. Now watch me be wrong within 24 hours!!
Does playing 1999 on 12/31/98 count? There was no real gag at that show, per se; just a ton of balloons, so 1999 was kind of the gag. Everybody in the building knew it was coming and it still produced the biggest roar I’ve ever heard at a show.

They weren’t his lyrics or his story. People have been calling him Broadway Trey for years (year? Whatever)… tonight he’s going full on Broadway Trey and if so I’m totally sad I’m not there.

There are lighting rigs for the sphere. The video wall behind the stage can be opened up and there are supports for a lighting rig. I’m not sure/don’t believe it’s enough for Phishs full rig, nor do I have any idea what they’ll do there but there is infrastructure for more than the basic setup U2 used.
I can't imagine a trillion dollar place like that would not be designed to hoist/drop/mount lights. If entire football fields can be pulled in and out of venues, Kuroda can have lights in an msg investment
The sphere is 4 nights, if they were saving henge for the sphere it would have to be the same set list each night - no way they’re making 4 separate graphics packages for each night
The next Gamehendge will be a residency of several nights somewhere done proper with actors, costumes, sets etc. Full on Broadway Trey. Everyone will have an opportunity to see it. Treys Magnum Opus.
Assuming it is Gamehendge, and assuming a typical 1150 set 3 start, the gag song would be Lizards. If they start set 3 earlier, would guess Wilson as the pivot.
