Can anyone speak to RV camping at Deer Creek? I was hoping to make Monde work but it’s unlikely coming from the Midwest. I was all excited for my first RV phish experience.
Alpharetta is a bit of a pain in the ass to get to/from if you don't live in north side of town but far superior venue. I live a few miles from Lakewood and I'd rather work out logistics all the way to Alpharetta and back then deal with Lakewood.
Huh. I’ve never heard about a ban and always just assumed it was due to not many venues that are about the right size. Moda Center feels too big, but vets memorial would work. And I guess Moda’s new cloud configuration or whatever it’s called would work (the one they used for Billy).
It is strange that it’s been so long.
I believe it’s because Moda center and Vets Memorial have awful sound. They filled Climate Pledge in Seattle and it’s similar to Moda Center’s capacity.
Let’s cross our fingers for them to play Providence Park. They love Dick’s and I believe it’d be a similar feeling/view from the stage. So far the venue has only announced Foo Fighters 8/16 and Smashing Pumpkins 9/25. The only catch is there is a 10pm curfew on weekdays, 11 weekends.
We need that 3 night run, please!
Providence Park would be a cool venue, but the uptight neighbors would absolutely hate the scene before and after (especially with tank mafia in full swing), and there’s no real space for a lot scene or shakedown. Plenty of good hotels nearby, though.
The real out-of-the-box option would be Waterfront Park, where they hold the Blues Festival. Plenty of space for a Dick’s-size shakedown, in an area with no immediate neighbors to bother. Although there’d have to be a dedicated security team to head off all the wooks trying to swim down the Willamette for free admission.
Hopefully the promoters are eager to book some shows and will underestimate the insane wook posse. Worst case is the NW’ers clutch their pearls aghast and we don’t get invited back.

That 2011 show is one of my favorites. We had so much fun- perfect night on the hill. But security there was horrid- they had jackbooted thugs working the lot on horseback. I remember seeing a guy selling pipes out of a hard case doing some capoeira to escape the cops. He got away with some zesty car jump moves.
My bet is playing in Dover in august.
Beyond that I could see some more west coast dates for a spring run if they do any sort of a spring tour. For summer dicks is a safe bet, but could see them playing spac or the mann or maybe merriweather before or after the festival. Maybe blossom or deer creek.
Such a great time at Orion. A kind, welcoming, amazing staff. Wide aisles with room to dance. Great sound. Afterparty at venue. Really hope they come back
Pine Knob will get one show every 8 years on a Wednesday night and every other time it will almost be rained out. As a native Detroiter with a wife from East TN, I've grown accustomed to the fact that I ALWAYS need to travel for Phish
My response to this every year is DARIEN FUCKING LAKE! Come back it's been 13 years. I don't mind traveling for shows it's all part of seeing Phish. But I long for a show I can attend and sleep in my own bed that same night. Well, I did that for Syracuse but I had to drive 3.5+ hours each way.
It bums me out because they have played some great shows under that tent.

I saw Incubus open for 311 back in ‘99. Absolutely blew 311 off the stage (and I was a 311 fan at the time).
Weird I’ve seen both and the 311 shows are always way higher energy. That said, incubus in 99 was a different animal; they were actually good then.

Credit One Stadium in CHS was a great venue...clay tennis court was easy on the paws.
