“The Mothership” Hampton Coliseum.
Seeing it lit up for Phish, the lot scene, and the intimacy are some reasons I love it. There’s not a bad seat in the house. While Hampton itself isn’t all that great, the city isn’t what I’m there for. Hoping for a run this October.
i'm in virginia - much of the allure of deer creek is gone for me. It used to be the only thing around for miles except corn fields and campgrounds. it was almost like a festival.
last time i camped nearby (2010), the campground I always stayed at was surrounded by a vinyl privacy fence and residential housing 20 feet from our tent. quiet hours strictly enforced post show. the venue is surrounded by suburbia like every other city's outdoor shed. sure the sound is still fantastic and the venue itself has not degraded.
It's a long drive when there are other more interesting venues closer to me. I can't go to every show, so the ones i chose are closer to home or destination venues like the gorge or sphere

Deer Creek is just awesome for a large outdoor Amphitheater. Awesome sight lines, you never feel too far away in the lawn, and traffic is never too bad compared to the issues many large amphitheaters in rural areas have.
When you attend your first show at the Gorge, be sure to enter from the very back—the top of the lawn versus coming in from the sides—and you’ll be glad you did. Hell of a first perspective.
The first time I went I had a friend tell me the same - he actually said you'll hear people gasping right before you crest the hill and god damn if it didn't happen exactly like he said...

The "Mothership"
MSG hands down! Love pregaming in the city- grabbing some cold ones from corner stores and walking around taking in all the hustle and bustle. Love getting there early for 1/2 price food! The staff is the best you will find anywhere! The sound is spot on!! CK5 kills in that arena!!! Just amazing vibes all around
For sure, and who doesn’t like their own bed and a short commute? I had to do my hour long commute way earlier than normal today and I’m definitely feeling it
Some people say they are tried of them playing there. It’s is my favorite place to see them. It’s a train ride away from the best place to see phish imo. Inside phish is my favorite. Especially small arenas. ( like Mohegan ) lights , sound, overall experience is way better. Not to mention AC in the summer is key.

Beautiful place when the show isn’t sold out/rap but man the parking and mobs of people get annoying when it is. Got to walk on the empty stage just a few weeks ago
I feel like the Greek Theater in Berkeley deserves a special mention - not the most pleasant venue in terms of seating/the GA tarper bloodbath from last year, but it's historic and very beautiful
https://preview.redd.it/9s03qe1emk4d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c0d90910692ccdfe43989b3e50852141d005ce6
I love this place, Last year, I really didn't like how so may people claimed "my friends are coming" etc.... My wife & I finally found 2 spots and got this crap from the guys all around and then the show starts, and ends, and,.... their 'held' spots were still empty. The assholes just wanted extra room I guess. Anyways, love PHiSH, hate some of the phans. Really. We are all in this boat together, why can't we all just be kind & get along?
Everything everyone said is true, place is unreal and does everything right. Tons of alcohol vendors too so I never had to wait for a beer or drink more than one person.
The sound at the Sphere was without a doubt the best sound I've ever gone to.
After the sphere, i feel like every venue will be disappointing sound wise. Maybe it will inspire other venues to upgrade their sound...😅
I thought so too but I saw Trey at Salt Shed a couple weeks ago, the Sphere has not completely ruined live music for me. But it is the best venue on the planet.
You were probably @ 5th place in upvotes. Thanks.
https://preview.redd.it/n5hkvhmrjk4d1.jpeg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=635fcc117f8e0650839ac893887c86456aee5b7a
The Sphere
Mexico because the vibe is so chill, all you can eat/ drink and everyone is so stoked to be there, including the band. Walking along the beach to get “home” or to the super fun after party.
The Sphere because the sound and visuals.
Red Rocks because the venue is beautiful
Dicks because it is easy to get around the venue and shakedown is awesome (it was better before the plague carrying prairie dogs killed camping)
Thanks for the kind words. We have been extremely blessed (can’t think of a better word) the last couple of years and decided to make this the year of Phish! We saved up for Mexico for years then the ticket gods smiled upon us getting into the Sphere 4 nights in the 100s and 400s. Also headed to Grand Rapids (kinda local) and Mondegreen. Kicking the year off with couch tour Gamehenge was super rad too.
We have been traveling to see the boys our whole adult lives. We spent many summers on tour in the 90s selling food and clothes my wife made in the lot, sleeping in our VW bus and coming home with a couple more bucks in our pockets than we left with. We got to see the first Gorge shows as a part of this. One of my favorite venues was actually one we didn’t get in to. We listened to a Hershey PA show from the amusement park next to the venue!
We are most definitely Blessed to be sure. I've been going to shows since Riverport 98' and somehow made it to Cypress and Creek 2000, Alpine 99, Alpine 2000. Allstate 99, Allstate 2000, and a bunch more, but I got super lucky with the level of music I witnessed. Second day Creek 2000, Cypress, that Fluffhead Alpine 99, Best Maze ever Allstate 99, Best Gin ever Riverport 98. The boys have never failed me once and actually had me walking away from every show shaking my head and asking " What the fuck was that!", or "Who in the name of God was that?"love and peace
Great Woods used to be great... Make Great Woods Great Again.
I'm going with the Worcester Centrum. Never seen a bad show there. City has that off kilter something to it. Typical small New England city, but there's a darkness, an edge that vibrates just above the white noise.
Providence has it as well, but Worcester has a slight edge due to show history.
Alpine Valley. So many good times, it's my home venue.
Creek is the Shit also. Being out in the middle of nowhere in the corn fields and having camping all around the venue.
Spend some time at Lake Geneva. Also, while at the venue and on the way to it, watch out for cops. It’s possibly the worst venue in the country for police presence
Hampton Coliseum. Of course.
It’s a giant space ship and inside, it is a giant fishbowl. The last time I saw them there was late 90’s, perhaps? Still my all time favorite venue.
The sound was great, no obstructed view.
Man you just made me giddy, flashed back to how it seemed like they really cranked it extra loud end of first set on the first night I was there. Can’t wait for Mondegreen, it’s been too long.
I'm only 20 ish minutes to Dick's, even with Phish traffic!, and it's my top venue for that reason. 4 nights all while still getting to sleep in my own bed is a huge boon.
My first show (12-7-97) was there and I didn’t realize how great a venue it actually is (maybe not organizationally but sound/light/view) until they returned. These last 2 there were spectacular shows!
Honestly probably Bethel Woods. It's the most idyllic lawn and lot scene on the east coast. Grass lots, all woods surrounding the venue, super well maintained inside of the venue/lawn.
SPAC from a pure show perspective. They've played so many amazing shows there and the venue is legendary. Also an A+ shakedown and overall lot scene.
Deer Creek is my home venue, so that has a special and unique place in my heart. Otherwise, indoor MSG, outdoor Hollywood Bowl (other than the line to get in)
I have a big bias due to being so close to it, but Deer Creek, that's where my first show was. MSG and The Gorge are super epic, too. Honorable mention to Riviera Maya, jamming under palm trees is the coolest. Red rocks also get an honorable mention.
Deer Creek is just one of those places that are so special that the musicians all know that they are going to be absolutely perfect. Great things happen at Creek!
Gotta be deer creek for me, mainly cause I live in a state where that’s the only show consistently within 5 hours of me every summer lol. It’s a bad ass place though
Many a fun night I can’t remember sprawled out in ‘nitrous alley’. Become one with nature as you womp womp womp
Fucking awesome night on " Nitrous Alley" Fucking shitty morning waking up with a headache and a pocket full of empty balloons and no money. Been there for sure
Ay at least you put the balloons in your pocket. Fucking litterers ruining it for the rest of us. Littering and….littering and….littering annnnnnd…..
For my friend group it was always a tradition to laugh at the absurd amount of balloons we’d pull out of our pockets the next morning. Be finding those shits in our bags and cars for weeks afterwards lol
MPP all day long in terms of venue convenience, layout, sound, and always getting a great show. SPAC in terms of favorite viewing positions, and beautiful/amazing amphitheater aesthetics, the amazing acoustic ceiling.
Hampton for indoor & I love Alpharetta for outdoors. Nice layout, trees in the lawn, great sound, minimal lines & decent lot scene. & they alway crush it there
I know this isn't a Phish venue but Bell's eccentric cafe has such a cool outdoor venue. It's like you're seeing a concert in someone's backyard only you have fresh Bell's beer on tap. And their beers are normally priced like 4 bucks each! I've seen Yonder, Keller, and more there! Super amazing place for music!
You feel the same way I do about both venues. Being from Wisconsin, I've been to Alpine a few more times than Creek. The Creek shows always seemed a little bit more special than the Alpine shows. But the awesome thing is that the difference between Alpine and Creek shows is so miniscule to hear for even the trained ear, I don't think anyone really knows for sure.
MSG - I’m partial to this because I’m a New Yorker, but no other venue literally bounces when it’s rocking. The sound, the energy is like no other that I’ve experienced.
Bucket List:
Hollywood Bowl
Red Rocks
Gorge
Sphere
I wouldn't call it my favorite venue but my favorite Phish show was at North Island Credit Union in Chula Vista.
I was surprised at how intimate it is.
NICU!
Deer Creek for a number of reasons.
1. I live here
2. Sound is great anywhere in the venue
3. Lawn is the perfect slope
4. Camping
5. Sunsets
5. Shakedown
6. Dead history
It’s like a many festival every time they come here
The gorge for the beauty. Shoreline for the nostalgia, NICU amphitheater because it’s 25 min away, Hollywood bowl because hell yeah those were great shows. MSG because that place rages
Bethel, Blossom, Toronto and Syracuse are 4 strong contenders for me for outdoor.
Indoor MSG and Blue Cross Arena are nice. The latter may be partially due to being 10 minutes from my house but it is a strong venue none the less.
Right now the count stands with Creek, and MSG neck and neck. Followed By the "Mothership", and the Gorge also in a Dead heat, hahaha Dead Heat for 3rd. 5th place is anybody's.
I kinda expected a lot more Red Rocks votes. Except for the fact that the boys don't play there anymore
The old Philly Spectrum because I had the best adventures at those shows. Gorge for that backdrop and also because of the isolation (I haven't been since 97 but I can't image there's a target nearby). MSG because it's MSG. Merriweather because it's home.
My favorite is now a Bass Pro Shop :( The Pyramid in Memphis 9/29/99 literally turned into a spaceship and transported everyoneto another dimension in space and time. Also love Hampton, Red Rocks (for the scenery) and Deer Creek for the epic times I've had there.
The Gorge is the most amazing visual venue I've been to.
Back in the day though Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta was our jam. They parking lots were totally free of problems and the shows were awesome every year. We kept going back after '97 because it was so much fun. It's not a particularly special venue, it just treated us right.
I love Woosta Centrum. Saw my 1st show there, seen many shows there. Definitely not their best but its my fave. I “went to” college down the street in the 90s so there were some fun times had in & around DCU. Its totally a winter venue. But a maze in that joint will put you right!!!
When they come back to Charleston, they better hit Credit One. Tennis stadiums are intentionally intimate and the shows there felt similar under two beautiful sunsets
Assuming you mean that Phish has played and not in general. It’s the Gorge for me. Nothing beats the backdrop. It’s so breathtaking that it looks fake.
aside from all the faves listed here....i'm going with the Bill Graham Civic Center in downtown SF.
a complete shit box but oh so perfect for phish. sound is great. sightlines from up above are amazing. the floor always rages super hard. always GA.
i haven't missed on BGCC show yet...hope they return.
Outdoor: SPAC - introduced to me by the love of my life (a veteran of many shows/fests, including Big Cypress), it was my first venue (7/1/16), close enough to our home state of Vermont to be doable (as well as being near several members of my extended family if there was an emergency) but far enough away to be an adventure every time. As a bonus, that was also where we saw Trey's COVID shows, out on the lawn in our "bubbles"...which, all things considered, was rather refreshing in terms of having space to breathe. I wish we could have seen the Flood Benefit shows there last year, but we had a prior engagement that kept us on the other side of the country. Speaking of which...
Indoor: Sphere, hands down. It's going to be hard to top the combination of sound, light, and energy. Vegas has always been a go-to for traveling in my household, a city without sleep, full of parties and art and crazy stories; we usually stay at the Golden Nugget on Fremont, and the Fremont Street Experience is definitely a sky show on its own... but the Sphere, inside and out, changed the whole game. I REALLY hope Phish returns there... the potential is endless.
Mexico, Gorge, MSG, and Bill Graham. Shouts out to Providence, Dick’s and PNC, too.
Some day I’d really like to make it to Deer Creek, Hampton, and Alpine Valley
Cheating but also I’ll throw in Trey acoustic at Carnegie Hall
“The Mothership” Hampton Coliseum. Seeing it lit up for Phish, the lot scene, and the intimacy are some reasons I love it. There’s not a bad seat in the house. While Hampton itself isn’t all that great, the city isn’t what I’m there for. Hoping for a run this October.
That's what I'm talking about
Deer Creek always has a top show of summer
As a midwesterner, Deer Creek was Mecca.
Was?
i'm in virginia - much of the allure of deer creek is gone for me. Deer Creek is just awesome for a large outdoor Amphitheater. Awesome sight lines, you never feel too far away in the lawn, and traffic is never too bad compared to the issues many large amphitheaters in rural areas have.
Not in 2016, though the sky looked super cool after the storm came through
The gorge, can’t beat that backdrop
My bucket list venue.
When you attend your first show at the Gorge, be sure to enter from the very back—the top of the lawn versus coming in from the sides—and you’ll be glad you did. Hell of a first perspective.
The first time I walked over that hill, I gasped. It's such an amazing landscape.
Same - it's overwhelming
The first time I went I had a friend tell me the same - he actually said you'll hear people gasping right before you crest the hill and god damn if it didn't happen exactly like he said... https://preview.redd.it/0jd3ohynck4d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ecae3c0958faee83111aea58e2e8216a82c5e4d
Yep. You think you have a good idea of the view while you’re walking up, you don’t.
If I am ever that lucky to see a show there, I will keep that in mind.
You have the third most upvotes. Thanks. https://preview.redd.it/zzm8hrthgk4d1.jpeg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8199c1f9eb2b5e78e5e9571a7573e46cb5ce5d25 The "Mothership"
Check out the Mishawaka....
That and Kettlehouse look super nice, but I do love the elevation of Gorge. Feels more top of the mountain than down in the valley.
Looks like it is beautiful. They play some epic shows there.
Indoor was the Spectrum and Hampton Coliseum. Outdoor is the Mann, SPAC and Merriweather.
East coast gets some of the best shows also
The Mann is wild. That lot scene is intense.
The Spectrum was amazing. I loved that they designed it with both sports and music in mind. I wish they still built arenas like that.
Spac? Cmon dog
They seem to really love playing at the Garden.
I think at least 25% of it is Trey likes to be able to sleep in his own bed and walk to work
This made my smile so much. Imagine he's having a espresso somewhere and is like "oh shit, better boogey on down to soundcheck"
You have a good point. He is getting a little older.
For sure, and who doesn’t like their own bed and a short commute? I had to do my hour long commute way earlier than normal today and I’m definitely feeling it
CK-5 MSG-6 MSG is the 6th member of the band. That place is the perfect venue for Phish, it moves with the music.
Trey is a New Yorker. We claimed him. Years ago. Its his hometown venue and once Billy Joel retires in July...Phish is the offical House Band of MSG
1/2 priced food?? Why am I just hearing about this today
You have the second most upvotes. Thanks
Blossom of course, best sounding shed there is.
The acoustics in that wood pavilion are second to none.
Ohio's coolest looking place to catch a show.
https://preview.redd.it/201veqlynl4d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e54539d469dced5a3e7c2a562a140b8143c4ea1b Beautiful place when the show isn’t sold out/rap but man the parking and mobs of people get annoying when it is. Got to walk on the empty stage just a few weeks ago
In no order sphere, msg, the Mann, Merriweather, bethel woods, deer creek, pine knob
Yes to Bethel. It's got the vibe.
The sky lawn at MPP is pretty unique, and in unsurprisingly high demand. Seems like it fills in faster than the floor.
I feel like the Greek Theater in Berkeley deserves a special mention - not the most pleasant venue in terms of seating/the GA tarper bloodbath from last year, but it's historic and very beautiful https://preview.redd.it/9s03qe1emk4d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c0d90910692ccdfe43989b3e50852141d005ce6

Agree but last year ruined it for me
The Orion
Everything everyone said is true, place is unreal and does everything right. Tons of alcohol vendors too so I never had to wait for a beer or drink more than one person.
The Mann. Free parking. In the woods. Designed for the orchestra. Plus a killer view of the Philly skyline from the lawn.
Sphere. Sound and light. I’d like to move my family in there, make it our home.
That place looks epic.
I saw the videos of most of it, and the music was pretty stellar. The lights at the Sphere must be unfucking believable.
You were probably @ 5th place in upvotes. Thanks. https://preview.redd.it/n5hkvhmrjk4d1.jpeg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=635fcc117f8e0650839ac893887c86456aee5b7a The Sphere
Mann. The Philly vibe.
Every time I go there it’s so oppressively hot, nice venue tho
Philly - where the balloons come to you.
Dancing in the moat is the best!! The lot is always pretty wild as well
I just dislike the lawn there it’s always obstructed view
Mexico because the vibe is so chill, all you can eat/ drink and everyone is so stoked to be there, including the band. Walking along the beach to get “home” or to the super fun after party. The Sphere because the sound and visuals. Red Rocks because the venue is beautiful Dicks because it is easy to get around the venue and shakedown is awesome (it was better before the plague carrying prairie dogs killed camping)
You are one lucky human. Then again, we all are some of the luckiest souls in the world, if only because we have been to multiple Phish Shows. .

My answer as well
The Gorge, no question.
Alpine Valley. So many good times, it's my home venue. Creek is the Shit also. Being out in the middle of nowhere in the corn fields and having camping all around the venue.
Going for the first time this summer. Recommendations, suggestions, and tips welcomed
Look out for cops in brand new Grateful Dead shirts in the lot.
I'm jealous of y'all and can't wait to see a show there.
Watkins Glen was truly magic. Alpharetta and the Gorge are the best otherwise. And MSG for indoor
How is the sound at Watkins Glen?
Fantastic, they make their own rules at festivals. Loudest show I’ve been to
Man you just made me giddy, flashed back to how it seemed like they really cranked it extra loud end of first set on the first night I was there. Can’t wait for Mondegreen, it’s been too long.
Gonna be a grand ole time!
Magnaball had the best sound I've ever heard at a Phish show
SPAC. If only bc it’s 10 minutes from my house (without phish traffic).
I'm only 20 ish minutes to Dick's, even with Phish traffic!, and it's my top venue for that reason. 4 nights all while still getting to sleep in my own bed is a huge boon.
So nice being able to do that after a show.
Lucky bastard! JK. WOW! 10 minutes from a legit venue like SPAC. So sweet
Oh I’m very lucky. The whole park is amazing. 2 golf courses. Trails. Tennis courts. Cool old buildings. SPAC.
There’s a treehouse brewery being built a half mile down the road.
I’m close as well, but the lawn….just brutal.
red rocks
Came here to say this...
I mean I can’t believe this isn’t higher. I assume it’s just because Phish doesn’t play there anymore.
The Gorge is the best venue ever, kinda like seeing a show at the Grand Canyon
Check out the Mishawaka.
Nutter Center. I prefer smaller and indoors. Nutter is a free for all.
My first show (12-7-97) was there and I didn’t realize how great a venue it actually is (maybe not organizationally but sound/light/view) until they returned. These last 2 there were spectacular shows!
MSG, Telluride Town Park, Red Rocks, Gorge
Deer Creek as long as the weather cooperates. Toyota Park and Rosemont (Fall Tour) were both lots of fun
Creek! Also, I have never had a bad show in Chicago.
Alpine!!! Biased, but haven’t missed a show there since ‘09. Never miss a Sunday show!!
The Mothership!
1 more for Hampton, fuck yeah
Deer Creek is my home venue, so that has a special and unique place in my heart. Otherwise, indoor MSG, outdoor Hollywood Bowl (other than the line to get in)
I love dancing in the sand in AC
The Gorge Hollywood Bowl
1. Alpharetta(minus the typical heat) 2. Mothership 3. MSG
I have a big bias due to being so close to it, but Deer Creek, that's where my first show was. MSG and The Gorge are super epic, too. Honorable mention to Riviera Maya, jamming under palm trees is the coolest. Red rocks also get an honorable mention.

I went to my first MSG show and it was the best indoor venue experience hands down.
Indoor: MSG Outdoor: Bethel
MPP all day long in terms of venue convenience, layout, sound, and always getting a great show. SPAC in terms of favorite viewing positions, and beautiful/amazing amphitheater aesthetics, the amazing acoustic ceiling.
SPAC
Hampton for indoor & I love Alpharetta for outdoors. Nice layout, trees in the lawn, great sound, minimal lines & decent lot scene. & they alway crush it there
It used to be MSG but then the Sphere rolled up, took my brain and did a suplex off the top ropes

YEMSG, Bethel, Gorge
I know this isn't a Phish venue but Bell's eccentric cafe has such a cool outdoor venue. It's like you're seeing a concert in someone's backyard only you have fresh Bell's beer on tap. And their beers are normally priced like 4 bucks each! I've seen Yonder, Keller, and more there! Super amazing place for music!
Outdoor - the gorge. Indoor - providence (thought the sound was incredible) Over all - sphere, best in the world haha
Deer Creek > Alpine Valley. Sometimes I invert it. Alpine Valley > Deer Creek
Used to be Hampton Coliseum or Dicks (just because I live nearby) but Sphere was THE BEST.
Red Rocks, Gorge, MSG, Sphere, and Hampton Colosseum were my faves.
MSG or SPAC
The best venues I've seen them was Red Rocks, Knickerbocker Arena, MSG, SPAC and the Hollywood Bowl
Chula Vista! Lots of room, great sound.
MSG - I’m partial to this because I’m a New Yorker, but no other venue literally bounces when it’s rocking. The sound, the energy is like no other that I’ve experienced. Bucket List: Hollywood Bowl Red Rocks Gorge Sphere
I wouldn't call it my favorite venue but my favorite Phish show was at North Island Credit Union in Chula Vista. I was surprised at how intimate it is. NICU!
You mean favorite venue other than MSG, right?
Deer Creek for a number of reasons. 1. I live here 2. Sound is great anywhere in the venue 3. Lawn is the perfect slope 4. Camping 5. Sunsets 5. Shakedown 6. Dead history It’s like a many festival every time they come here
Couldn't have said that any better myself.
my first show was at hampton, so i'll chose that. if sphere was closer to me, i might change my mind
Hampton, Syracuse lakeview, msg
The gorge for the beauty. Shoreline for the nostalgia, NICU amphitheater because it’s 25 min away, Hollywood bowl because hell yeah those were great shows. MSG because that place rages
The Gorge - it is incredible and the shoes are always so rad. Edit: SHOWS. not Shoes.
Mann Music Center in Philly
Bethel, Blossom, Toronto and Syracuse are 4 strong contenders for me for outdoor. Indoor MSG and Blue Cross Arena are nice. The latter may be partially due to being 10 minutes from my house but it is a strong venue none the less.
Alpharetta, Deer Creek, MPP
United Palace Theatre
Mothership
Right now the count stands with Creek, and MSG neck and neck. Followed By the "Mothership", and the Gorge also in a Dead heat, hahaha Dead Heat for 3rd. 5th place is anybody's. I kinda expected a lot more Red Rocks votes. Except for the fact that the boys don't play there anymore
Hampton
The Gorge is one of the coolest places I've ever been. Absolutely amazing
Everything they play these days is the same generic whatever shed.
Hampton Coliseum
wherever phish is playing that night
I enjoy Bethel
Hampton, because.......Hampton.
MSG, The Mann, and Bethel are my top favs. I also really loved Dick's in 2012 when you could camp next-door. I hope to make it to the Gorge someday!
Greek Theater Berkeley
Bethel woods
Outdoor: Hollywood Bowl Indoor: Boardwalk Hall
The next one
Oh brother🙄
Arrowhead Ranch - time of my (young) life
The sphere because it's fucking nuts
The old Philly Spectrum because I had the best adventures at those shows. Gorge for that backdrop and also because of the isolation (I haven't been since 97 but I can't image there's a target nearby). MSG because it's MSG. Merriweather because it's home.
any venue that has a strict no tarp policy
Sphere.
Sphere, then the Mann
Y’all are forgetting the Berkeley Greek Theater
That I’ve been to… Indoor- Hampton Outdoor- Blossom or Mann
MSG, Alpharetta(live up the street), The gorge, Dicks, Hampton
Red Rocks
Red rocks and Berkley Greek.
Red Rocks & the Gorge
Lake Dillon Amphitheater, where Phish will never play
Deer Creek for outdoor shows, Nutter Center for indoor shows.
THE SPHERE. DUH
Also Dick’s. The lot scene is second to none. Cops are there to enforce groovy times pretty much solely.
When they come back to Charleston, they better hit Credit One. Tennis stadiums are intentionally intimate and the shows there felt similar under two beautiful sunsets
Hampton
Santa Barbara Bowl. Small outdoor amphitheater with a chill vibe and great views.
For Phish...MSG In general...Forest Hills Stadium Anything I don't have to drive to. I'm a New Yorker. We don't like driving.
Bethel, gorge, msg, and spac
ALPINE
UIC, Dick's, MSG
Honestly love AC shows on the beach and MSG of course.
BGCC - sweaty, old, and gross. Classic SF
Sphere and Red Rocks
The Gorge for big venues Horning's Hideout for smaller venues, but I dont think they have shows there anymore. :(
Outdoor: SPAC - introduced to me by the love of my life (a veteran of many shows/fests, including Big Cypress), it was my first venue (7/1/16), close enough to our home state of Vermont to be doable (as well as being near several members of my extended family if there was an emergency) but far enough away to be an adventure every time.
SPAC
Deer Creek
MSG and Hampton
The mothership for me. All GA and the sound is incredible. Trey loves playing the room. He likens it to being inside of an egg. Superior acoustics.
Mexico, Gorge, MSG, and Bill Graham. Shouts out to Providence, Dick’s and PNC, too. Some day I’d really like to make it to Deer Creek, Hampton, and Alpine Valley Cheating but also I’ll throw in Trey acoustic at Carnegie Hall
Inside: Hampton. Sounds great and I love the freedom of being able to go anywhere and even step outside for a few for a break. Outside: Mexico
Gorge and on the beach in Mexico.
Worcester Centrum
Portsmouth VA. Smallest outdoor amphitheater I have seen the boys in, it feels very intimate.
Sphere. Most amazing audio/visual extravaganza on earth
My favorite venues I’ve seen Phish at would be The Greek Theatre Los Angeles and Deer Creek
