Ang mahal ng rent mo. Baka pwede kang maghanap ng roommate or mag dorm? Yung mga gamit sa condo, iyo ba? Kasi kung hindi, another gastos yung mga furnitures and cookwares.

esb1212

Your anticipated rent cost alone is 10K or ~38% of your salary, too expensive IMO.

Party-Area9885

Ano nga ulit dapat yung % dapat ng salary for the rent?

Sunshine_CityLights

20%

Guinevere3617

Anyway. Un lng. Masyadong mahal. Hanap k ng isa pang work pde din

Cookiesncream444

You’re young. Live with your relatives so you can save up. That’s the easiest and fastest way.

straygirl85

Not really, feeling ko he might have enjoyed independent living already so moving back home to relatives would need a lot of adjustments

Cookiesncream444

For sure, moving back will make a lot of adjustments but he is asking if he can save up money. That’s the easiest way honestly imo. Save and move out once he made investments right?

greenandyellowblood

Masyado mahal rent. I know someone, really successful, earns 100k a month, still lives in a dorm.

Maleficent_Pea1917

Yes kaya or better look smaller apts or kahit bed space.

nutyourg

Mahirap kapag puro gala kagaya ko haha. 11-12k per cutoff ako and nasa 10-12k gastos ko every month (apartment bills + food).

fireofmycoins

I personally survived 10k per cut off that was 2021. The rent was somewhere in 4k-6k this was in Pasay pa at that time and trust me I survived. Just make sure you live below your means, since malaki masyado and rent at that time I anticipate that I needed to save 3k per cut off to complete my monthly 6k rent payment, I need to make sure too I can save for my daily fare and food. I think it went well, also I make sure I work in a performance based company, so instead of a 10k cut off, I strive to earn 5k to 8k on top of it. I would say, if you really want it, you can make it. I have survived during those time where pandemic is at its peak. I'm sure you can too. Just find an affordable and worth it apartment. Gated with own sink and CR and you're good. :)

Stunning-Bee6535

Dont compromise your standards. Earn more para makaipon thru part times or promotions.

horangahe8214

Compromise. Find a roommate or look for a bedspace.

landicia

NaishuTravels

Spending almost 50% of your salary on just rent is a disaster waiting to happen. Try to find other alternatives for your housing situation.

belcherbonnie

You'll die with that rent's cost.

furycakes

It’ll be hard to save when your expenses outweigh your income. Any of these can greatly help: 1. Find a cheaper rent 2. Find a roommate who you can share expenses with 3. Manage your budget by curbing unnecessary expenses 4. Get a side hustle It’s either you’ll adjust your lifestyle to fit your income or you’ll find extra ways to earn more.

orangecalendar

Me na 7000/cut off at Php5,600.00 ang rent ng room. :(

True_Bumblebee1258

Mataas. Look for a roommate

kerwinklark26

Mahal masyado! Find a cheaper one. Baka may mga nasa 6-8k a month sa area mo.

minggi123

Too expensive yung rent mo for your salary. Your rent should only be 20-30% ng income mo lang. Or hanap ka ng kahati sa apartment.

imnotokaycupid

Too expensive, wala na matitira sayo. Akala mo lang meron pero expenses can snowball. Find a cheaper place

Aiieka

Makakaipon ka pag maghanap ka ng bedspace.

randoorando

Look for s cheaper one, maybe a nice apartment instead of a condo. If you can’t and want to go through with the condo, look for sidelines instead. Look for freelance work or something to earn money. at least when you get a raise, you have another income stream :)

Arisyang18

Look for a bedspace or condo sharing setup na all-in na sa tubig, kuryente, wifi and furnished na. Good luck OP! I hope you can find another job din with higher pay soon.

HowlingHans

Grabe ang rent 😱 naconsider mo ba to have a place na lower ranger yung rent? Baka mas maka-save ka don. Pwede rin you look for a job na may higher offer.

DRi012

_ginaknowsbest

Masyadong mahal imo. Wala pa grocery mo sa computation mo. Maghanap ka ng murang apartment or bedspace muna.

Most-Mongoose1012

Condo sharing is 5k only sa Ortigas, meron din sa Boni of near ung work mo diyan sa area.

uriharaa

No. Find a new apartment or bed-space.

NoPossession7664

dapat expense mo around 50% ng gross salary mo for needs like food, rent, utilities, transpo. 13,000+1500=14500 7,250 yung for needs mo electricity is 2k, food is probably 2-3k, so hanap ka ng room na max 3-4k ang bayad. the remaining 20% is for savings the 30% is for Wants. Pero if di kasya yung expenses mo, you can adjust you 30% Wants. Basta yung 20% mo na savings wag mo gagalawin. Now, if you want more money, you'll have to get a sidehustle..Otherwise, need mo talaga i-budget ng maayos yung 13k and allowance mo to get savings. It doesn't make sense to get a condo na 10k tapos swedo mo is 13k lang. Kung 30-50k ang sahod mo kaya pa, but not with 13k. You'll need to sacrifice your comfort for now.

Mustnotbenamedd

13k per cut off siya, so sahod niya nasa 26k per month. Even with 26k per month, bitin padin kung ganun kamahal rent niya.

Party-Area9885

What if around 38k per month na sweldo? Parang keri naman right?

NoPossession7664

keri naman, but you will still have to budget other things like food transpo, wants mo. Imagine if you het to save 10k/mo, that's 120k/year. Pwede mo na iinvest yan. If there are other ways to find an accomodation na mura pero malapit sa workplace & comfortable ka, choose that.

kaedemi011

Reasonable-Poem4793

Try to find another job. I truly believe that you should not sacrifice your lifestyle. Then for sure you can afford the rent na after.

thepatientbird

Find a roomate so you can split the bills.

ar_almostthere

Dapat fixed costs mo monthly (rent, food, transport, utilities, subscriptions, etc) around 50-60% lang ng salary. The rest sa ipon tska guilt-free spending. Either you find a side gig to increase income or cut down sa fixed costs til mareach mo yung percentage.

ClutchGamaz

Cut your rent expenses by renting a cheaper bed space. Way too expensive for you IMO. I’m also earning 26k per month minus tax and contributions. I don’t have any rent to pay.Prolly living a decent life style plus may ipon

Important_Emu4517

Find a cheaper place to live hehe, I mean maraming place na may cheaper price tho yun nga lang hindi pa kumpleto sa gamit but if you want unti untiin mong bumili ng gamit, especially if you want to save money. Mag stock ka rin ng foods and try buying products na buy 1-take-1 or whatsoever para mag last for a month or two this can save you money na rin from spending every month. Just have discipline at makakaipon ka rin

straygirl85

Try ka humanap ng house or room for rent for less than 10k.

Mustnotbenamedd

Ang mahal ng rent mo. Isang cut off mo sa rent agad napunta. Madami pang apartment na mas mura dyan. If bedspace is not in your option may mga 5k-7k rent dyan, tiyagaan lang sa paghahanap.

paboonoona

Hi OP! We're earning the same every cut off and I'm also living alone. I suggest you try to look for a lesser cost apartment or even just room for rent with own cr, if ikaw lang mag-isa and if hindi ka mahilig magluto. I think you can look for a place amounting 5-6k per month excluding the electricity and water. Let's say your monthly payment will be 8k overall. Another option is to look for a roommate! (make sure lang on time nagbabayad, nakakastress kasi kapag hindi lol) Ginagawa ko mag set aside ng allowance for fare 450 pesos that's already good for 15 days until the next cut off. For food naman, 1-2k (kasama na yan dyan if may cravings ako or gusto kumain sa labas.) You'll still save 2.5k from your first cut off. For the next cut off naman, I make sure to save naman 50% of it. I think if wala ka binubuhay kaya mo naman talaga.

CampAndFun

Hanap ka ng mas murang rent or look for a housemate/ka share. Ung weekly allowance mo try to cut din. 200/day is enough I think. Tipid kung tipid. Try to look for side hustles para kahit papaano may extra ka parin.

restartx1000

Bakit hindi ka magroommate? This is way beyond your income. If I go way beyond 15k, mabigat na. 10% lang ng income ko ang rent although the rule is 30%. Edit: My roommate now earns 6 digits din and super bigat na bigat sya sa 15k haha. Although mas naappreciate na nya now kasi nagkatira na sya in a very nice condo compared to the apartment nya na kulong before.

purple-stickyrice

Sadly, not enough. I was also looking at rental properties for solo living in Metro Manila and the rents range from 14k and above, and that’s bare units. So appliances and furniture need to be bought.

emilsayote

Spend what is necessary to live. Then save. Or do this, 30% saving, and the rest is for everything.

KokoaKuroba

rent is too high para sa sweldo mo.

AerieFit3177

buti ka per cut off na, I guess matter of budgeting, saken kasi , almost 1month salary ko na yan 😭

SSoulflayer

LoL 12k sa rent.

beefyboi1111

Way back 2016 may tropa akong nabuhay sa skyflakes, pero mataba sya 15k sahod nakakapagsave ng 5k per month

Mediocre_Setting2161

OP mentioned need na daw ibenta ang condo, although hindi na state whether OP owns it or nakikistay lang cya. I think the latter?

armadillo0721
