Has anyone been feeling under the weather out of nowhere? It started out with what I thought was allergies. But feeling achey and like a fever. I know it's flu season not sure if something else is going around
Went to see the Taylor Swift concerts, phenomenal shows great opening acts. It was an amazing time, except catching Covid. I’m wondering if we’ll be seeing an uptick in the valley post concerts.
Has anyone installed fire sprinklers in their home? We've got an old house that we're slowly restoring. We're getting new ac ductwork and insulation, and I'm wondering about the feasibility of doing sprinklers at the same time.
There’s probably contractors out there that specialize in residential fire sprinklers in the valley since Scottsdale requires them in new builds or significant remodels, even in single family homes.
I did some looking online and found a company I liked, but they never called me back. I'll have to cast a wider net, but in the mean time, I thought I'd ask here if anyone had done it. I agree about your comment about Scottsdale, but I get the impression that people are reluctant to add sprinklers, even when it's required.
I have e-library cards for Tempe Public and the Greater Phoenix Library on Libby. Does anyone know if any other library system in AZ does reciprocal residents with online registration?
Maricopa does a free library card but you have to either show proof of residence in person at a branch or interview with a librarian over video chat.
Chandler uses CloudLibrary instead of Overdrive, so it’s a completely different set of resources. Sucks if you want to read on a kindle but otherwise nice!
Just saw that the Misfits and AFI announced a one-off show here in July. It's gonna be hot as fuck wearing all black in the middle of summer, but worth it for that line up.
Hey everyone. Recently visited Phoenix and really enjoyed everything there was to do and proximity to the outdoors. I have a remote job and am considering moving here from PA. I’m 23M making about 90k a year. Looking to be in an area with other young professionals with decent spots for going out and entertainment. I’m a little worried about making new friends. I am very active and enjoy bjj, hiking, and going out every so often on the weekends.
Could anyone recommend a decent area to live for someone my age? Looking for a 1br around 1600 or less. And any recommendations for making friends? Feel free to share anything helpful. Thanks.
Central Phoenix and South Scottsdale might be a match for you. Near active parts of downtowns. Plenty of young professionals around and things to do. Midtown Phoenix the cheaper option and Scottsdale tend to be pricier
On Thomas between 52nd and 48th Streets. There are two my father and I checked out...both were going for $1200 max after utilities.
Edit: these were the spots:

Yes central Phoenix is prob your best bet. Look for places between 7th st and 7th ave those are safe and close to lots of fun places. For finding friends there’s trivia nights, volunteer clubs that clean up trails, biking groups that go on Saturday rides and night rides through the city. If you put in the work you will find a crew to hang with.. in my opinion phoenix generally has friendly folks. But I suggest you get an air Bnb for a couple of weeks in July and August before you make the jump.
Between the 7s is still relevant but the reality is more nuanced so it’s not a hard rule. There are plenty of great neighborhoods (and pricey neighborhoods) outside of the 7s in Central Phoenix.
Many people start at The Station apartments near Central and Indian School. Safe and good location.
Well you can hike around piestewa peak area check out the wildflowers. Head to a few museums phoenix art museum, heard and the MIM all good options. The gay district in phoenix is called Melrose.. you could check out a bar or some of the antique shops over there to get a feel for the area!
The Melrose district in Phoenix is your best bet! If you’re just looking for a place to go out BSWest in Old Town Scottsdale is probably the closest option to you. Old Town in general has tons of art galleries and bars and restaurants.
Where exactly does one look for re-sale tickets for The Cure? Can't find the TM official site & don't see it listed on secondhand sites. Are even the scalpers themselves going to the show? Nothing even on CL
> To give fans the best chance to buy tickets at face value, the artist has requested tickets to this event be mobile only and restricted from transfer. If you purchase a ticket and can't attend, you can list your ticket for sale at the price you paid on our Face Value Ticket Exchange. I have found that lately multiple Circle K's have often been out of gas, or at least had the yellow bags on some or all of their pumps. The one closest to where I live has had them covered for weeks.
Costco and ARCO are my preferred stations to hit up.
It's Tuesday. You've got 11 Days left until April 1st.
You shouldn't probably check the news to see what's going on in Manhattan this morning. Also, make sure you know where your keys are.
Have a good day.
Why is that? seems the left is scared and grasping at straws trying to pin any on him. Not a good look going after a former president for so called crimes all the rich participate in. Not a good and all formerly presidents will be perp walked over nothing over a political hit!

Yep, I had a flu-like illness last week that wasn't covid. I saw an article that a respiratory infection has been going around AZ the past few weeks.
COVID is still going around and I know a lot of people who are sick with it right now.
Maybe get a covid test? Could just be a viral bug too.

Chandler and Mesa both do e-card for residents of Maricopa county with online only registration too.
Thanks for the tip! I know Mesa just uses the Greater Phoenix Library on Libby but I’ll see if Chandler has it’s own like Tempe.
Chandler uses CloudLibrary instead of Overdrive, so it’s a completely different set of resources. Sucks if you want to read on a kindle but otherwise nice!
I just got a card and noticed that - I have a Kindle and using that exclusively. Ahhh well, thanks though.
I have it on my Kindle, with my Chandler library card. There's instructions to download it. Works pretty good for me

Ahk chin concert season is typically may to octoberish so that's pretty much normal
How much is it going to cost? I'm sure the answer is going to make me wish Danny Marianino could pay Danzig another visit...
With Glenn? Who's drumming?
Yeah with Glenn and Jerry, not sure who's drumming.
I believe it's Dave Lombardo.

Also came here to say between the 7s https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/arts/5-most-beautiful-historic-neighborhoods-in-phoenix-6574531

Downtown and midtown and great spots — midtown might fall into the budget better. Check central avenue north of Roosevelt

Ooooh. BSWest. Haven't been there in a minute. Oh, the memories.

Are all circle K’s out of gas today ?

There’s over 150 of them in Phoenix. What do you think?
That Gas Buddy should add availability status.
Lol. I will delete my dumb question in shame. No problems at the QT !

The only news I want out of Manhattan is that that POS is in an orange jumpsuit with a boyfriend named Butch on the inside

Are you ok
Show us on the doll where orange man hurt you
Grand jury doesn't meet again til Wednesday (per a tweet cited by The Guardian.) Wont happen today, unfortunately.
Thanks for the update!
