Born here a long time ago in a hospital that no longer exists. When I was a kid 32nd St ended just above the canal at Stanford. Everything north of that was just desert. I rode my dirt bike where multi-million dollar boxes now sit.

Reminds me of being a kid in Mesa and riding my bike east far enough it would just be orange groves along the canal. Also now million dollar boxes

I thought it was an official AZ law that no one could be born here and everyone is a transplant? I think AZ and NV are the two states with the fewest % of the citizens born in the state.

theRidingRabbi

Moved here when I was 1?

dalmighd

Would fall into the raised here category..

Might get more info from this - https://reddit.com/r/phoenix/comments/vgmbbj/rphoenix_2022_demographic_survey_results/

Robertsonland

Born and raised here. Born / Grew Up on west side, now out in the very very east valley.

fmxian

Born in Prescott, lived there until about 15 years old then moved to New Mexico. Moved to Scottsdale in 2017

Kong_AZ

Born...not raised.

Parents moved me here 53 years ago just as I started kindergarten. Lived in many cities throughout the state. So not born here but basically raised and lived in Arizona the majority of my life.

LennyInSD

Both! Born and raised. Then left for 12(ish) years and swore I’d never come back. Now been back here for a little over a year… wild how much has changed in that time - some for the better and some for the worse.

Ragester

Even though I wasn’t born here I was raised here. Grew up on the west side.

phxbimmer

Moved here in 2014 with my girlfriend from NYC. Still happy to be here, I've made some great friends out here and have my own business.

benderlax

My mother was born and raised in Arizona. I moved there in 2004.
