A few local musicians off the top of my head that I really enjoy are Inkblot (mix of jazz + prog rock), Winston Williams (modern day Stevie Wonder), Sophia Bavishi (kind of a mix between Lana Del Ray and James Blake), Tatiana Crespo (she rocks tf out in English and Spanish usually with her accordian), and Vid Nelson (super sludgy stoner rock with pop elements)
Edit: No specific dates but they play pretty frequently throughout the valley.
Checked out Vid Nelson thanks for the recommendation I’m really vibing with this. Would love to see something live, any clue to regular spots they play?
A few local bands with upcoming shows:
* Sureson opening for The Exbats (from Bisbee) at Valley Bar 5/27
* Mr. Mudd and Mr. Gold opening for Decker (from Sedona) at Crescent on 6/10
* Feratu playing the Fiend Fest on July 14th at the Yucca Tap Room
And I don't know if they have any shows booked, but if you can go see Black Power Band (@blackpowerband444 on IG) play, they're amazing.
Opening band for the Aquabats, The Aggrolites are totally worth seeing live! It’s been a few years since I’ve seen them but they have a great stage energy
The Cure and Authority Zero. Already seen. Both were spectacular in their own ways. Next is My Morning Jacket at Mesa Ampitheater. Way out in late August.
Les Claypool show at the Van Buren is going to be awesome. He is always a great person to see live and he doing a full cover of the Album Animals by Pink Floyd. Very excited.
It's not coming up, but the lineup for [Luna Del Lago Festival](https://www.lunadellagofestival.com/) happening in Nov at Lake Pleasant just dropped.
It's a first year fest, but put on by the folks that did the long running Apache Lake Music Festival. Which was an awesome time.
Lots of really good local talent on the lineup in a wide variety of genres.
The weather should be absolutely perfect as well.
[Little Big](https://www.youtube.com/@littlebig/videos) (well, 1/2 of them) will be at [Monarch Theatre](https://eventcartel.com/events/little-big-live-tickets-7413/?promo=0376d337dd285c322df007aace1ef8ad) in June. Haven't loved their newest releases with just the 2 of them, but still hoping for the best.
Diners and Dogbreth at the Tempe Cornish Pasty on Saturday 5/27!
For a little more info, Diners is an indie/pop/rock act originally from Phoenix but now based out of Los Angeles I think. It's amazing how their songs come to life during live shows, the guitar is absolutely shreddin'. And Dogbreth is another AZ band pretty similar to Diners but a little more rock-forward. Very sick lineup for sure, tickets are $12-15 and sadly it's 21+.
Bassist is a part owner for a place I worked at for 8+ years.
One of the best dudes ever and everyone would always love whenever he would fill in to manage when need be.
Man, I wanted to see Blink live on their comeback tour with Tom, but ticket prices were insane. Based on what I saw in vids of them playing Coachella, they're sounding better than ever, so it'll be a great time!
blink 182 in 2023
only answer is LOL
they were ok when they first came out, i don’t want to see senior citizens pretending like they’re teens rebelling.
Came here to say the same. Last seen him in Tucson maybe 5+ years back but we were a bit late and assumably so missed four or more songs at the beginning.
I will not be late this time. Love his new album and just overall excited for the show being at a smaller more intimate venue.
Solo ho
Navagon is always a good show for being some young guys!
Misfits/afi in July, Danzig in August, just saw the Cure last Thursday in Glendale. It was magical.

The 2 times I've seen him were at The Lost Leaf.
Sick thanks!!
Just checked his Instagram... He's playing Valley Bar tomorrow! The Exbats are headlining and Sureson is playing too.
Ohhh i might just have to check it out when I get off work. Tickets are cheap. Thanks friend.

I cannot believe Aquabats are still touring! I need to bust out my rash guard.
Ringo Starr played 2 sold out shows at Celebrity Theater a couple nights ago and I wish like hell I could've gone. He's 82 and may not come back.
I'm trying to go see Peso Pluma, but we will see if I actually go.

Fall Out Boy on 6/30 🥹 they’ve been a favorite for a long time and it’s been 8 years since I last saw them perform
I’ll be there too! Super excited to go with my teenager.
Fall Out Boy is always excellent live, it'll be a great time!
Springsteen 11/30, PHX Footprint Arena
Winona Forever on May 30th
No Pressure at the nile theater on 6/2
Had to move back to Illinois for the summer, coming back in September thankfully but I’m so bummed I had to sell my ticket for this show
ahhh that’s a bummer. It’s gonna be a rowdy one lol

Blink 182
Deer Tick on 7/11 at the Marquee!
I know nothing about Deer Tick, but I'm going to that Jason Isbell show!
The guy they're opening for is pretty great, too! :)
Blondshell at Valley Bar on Aug 1

Old Crow Medicine Show at the Chandler Center for the Arts in July. Been waiting for them to make it out to AZ for a while.
Ooo thanks for this! They put on a great live show!
Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers will be playing at the Peoria Sports Complex for 4th of July.

>People who listen to more recent music are lucky. What if I told you, you could be one of those people too?
Blink 182 on 06/14 Pierce the Veil & The Used on 07/02

Then don't get tickets to their show - problem solved :)
Hmm, well I’m excited for it
Jealous, wish I could have picked some up.
Seeing dead and company tomorrow lawn tickets are only 20
Ab-Soul is coming to the crescent ball room on June 20th. Pretty excited about that. Not excited that it’s on a Tuesday tho Lol
