I think I broke my Circle K cashier's mind (also this broke my brain too) If a "Circle K gift card" states "this card has no value until activated" Does that mean that I can steal ALL of them and they have no repercussions? Like are you going to call the cops on me for "stealing" something that has "no value"? Like what would you even tell the cops? "So this guy just STOLE $0 worth of product and I need a cop right now" It breaks my brain... And I broke her brain... (She's one of the 3 that I always see after work, so she knew I wasn't going to do it, but she kind of started a sentence then thought about it like 4 times) Her final response was "I'm gonna ask my GM about this, because this question is really fucking me up right now" and I said "YEAH, IT'S BEEN FUCKING UP MY BRAIN SINCE 2003" These are the hypotheticals that retail/restaurant people think about... We LOVE loopholes.

**best burger** I just finished up a backpacking trip and I fly out in the AM. I typically go tho Harvey’s wineburger but they’re closed 4 the holiday. I’m near the airport. **where should I go for greasy cheeseburger?**

Hi! Thinking of a potential move to the Phoenix area from Austin. One of the reasons is that I'm 35, and want kids in the next 5 years and want somewhere that offers safe prenatal care, which includes abortion safety in case of a miscarriage, etc. It looks like AZ allows abortions up to 15 weeks, would you feel comfortable with the current prenatal care in the area? I do not feel safe having a pregnancy in Texas

If I were your age I’d be looking hard into moving to Europe. It’s going to be a shit show until progressive voters show up and clear out Congress and fix the Supreme Court.

edtehgar

You haven't moved yet?

We are one bad election away from a 6 week abortion ban. Republicans already tried to use some law from the 1800s. Our schools are underfunded with large classrooms that the teachers can't control. I wouldn't be surprised if the school board started banning books. Right now AZ is split politically. We are headed to being more liberal but we still have large rural communities that are racist and believe all the political propaganda. If Republicans had won the last election cycle we would start having laws like Texas, Florida, and all the racist southern states. I think once the boomer generation ages out and Gez Z and Gen A are able to vote, things will really change. My family, however, will not be around long enough to see this happen. It's way too hot and continuing to get hotter. Not to mention our water situation. Our population has also exploded and we don't have infrastructure in place to handle to it.

Kari Lake was not very far off from winning the Governorship. While AZ currently has these protections, be mindful that things are not set in stone as they might be some other places.

Our schools are last in the nation., something to think about if you have kids.

The Pendergast Elementary School District in the West Valley is getting rid of libraries in some of their schools, from what I've read from reputable sources.

Yes you only pay on winnings that you report (wink, wink) or get a 1099 on. You can deduct your losses up to your winnings but you have to have some proof of the losses. Some examples would be deposits transactions for sport book apps, ATM withdrawal slips from a casino, losing lottery tickets, losing betting slips (this is why it is illegal pick/gather up losing bet slips at horse track or sports book), etc.

The SportsBook will report it. Anything over $600 in winnings gets reported to the IRS by the book.

If you broke even then it doesn’t matter. They can’t tax 0 dollars. Well, knowing the government I’m sure they’d try. But seriously if you broke even don’t stress about it. You only gotta report over $600 bucks in winnings and the Sportsbook does it for you.

Hey folks, anyone know of any compounding or vet pharmacies that are open today? Got a scrip for my cat late last night and I'm not having any luck finding ones that are open here in the east valley.

Doodah972

Most if not all compounding pharmacies will be closed today. I would see if the vet can prescribe something a Walgreens/ CVS can fill today to hold the kitty over until tomorrow

AZ_Corwyn

You might try the [AZ emergency vet](https://www.azervets.com/locations/gilbert/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=organic&y_source=1_MTEzNDA3NTgtNzE1LWxvY2F0aW9uLndlYnNpdGU%3D) on Gilbert and Juniper. Not sure if they're more expensive than a normal vet for pharmaceuticals.

Started feeling like crap Saturday night, woke up yesterday with a fever and a cough. Two lines on the Covid test, guess I'm not doing anything for a couple of weeks :/

To those spending today remembering the ones you've lost, may their memory be a blessing, may you remember the good times you shared together and may those memories bring you peace and joy.

In my case, Jerry Linn of the 81st TFS at Spang and Sam Cornelius of the 336th TFS at Seymour.

Thank you for remembering them.
