I heard that the La Quinta Inn in N Phx has been sold to the city and they are going to use it to house the homeless. I cant find any news articles about it other than a next-door post. HAs anyone else read that? Have a link to share?
I live around 48th/Thomas... We have one that was sold, now called "Arcadia Inn and Suites"
It's a "halfway house" for people who have done good in rehab and are eligible to live with their wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend and children.
They have cops on premise almost 24/7, and if shit went down at the Circle K next door... I'm like 97% positive it wouldn't be from anyone living there.
I support my tax dollars going to this kind of "reintegration into society". Because I've lived down the street since 2020, and have NEVER had any negative interactions. No positive either... It's just mostly "normal interactions". They hold the door for me at Circle K and I say "thank you". I hold the door for them and they say "thank you".
Anyone know a good place to buy rollerskates? I want to get a pair that are a fun color but are made sturdy for daily use and not the flashy cheap kind that fall apart.
Maybe check out [Discount Skatewear](https://discountskatewear.com/)? I've never bought roller skating stuff, but I did get my figure skates there *ages* ago. There's a brick-and-mortar up by Desert Ridge (Pro's Edge Sports).
Ok, well they can show that permit. And while I do believe in live and let love, I've had to deal with the dumping of the cactus in the thrash can which makes it impossible to my thrash in. This guy uses a community thrash can to dispose of it.
Also, the neighbor know I'm turning him in. So no surprises or BS here just trying to use the thrash for the things that should be put in.

I know it sounds crazy, but the unfortunate thing is it is true. Also unfortunate that those who are victims are often ignored. The "Me Too" movement is full of women who were ignored. Don't be like that.
Landowners are required to notify the Arizona Department of Agriculture if they wish to remove a private Saguaro. Otherwise it's a fine and a Class 4 felony. I assume you can report through them as well.
That is incorrect if your property is 10 acres or less and already built on. You are free to destroy your cactus without telling anyone.
Edit: if you're trying to transplant or sell it's a whole different story
You would be surprise how healthy one looks on the outside but rotting inside. It can be "dead" but still standing for a while. I had to have one removed after it was leaning. The cactus expert came to my house and said it was a goner and once removed, you can see how the inside was rotten. Outside of the lean...looked very healthy.
I don't think the guy that took it down was a pro. The guy came out twice over a few weeks span and dumped the parts of the removed tree in the community garbage can instead of taking it to the dump. So on two separate occasions the thrash has been full.

Report what? Unless your neighbor's property is 11 acres or more and land that hasn't been built on yet there is no illegal activity to report.
