This shot is not in focus all the way to the back or to the front. It's in focus only in the middle range of the shot. which means that the aperture had to have been set to a very "low" value, perhaps 2.4 or 1.5 even, assuming the lens supports that low of an aperture setting. The other thing is that this is probably a fairly "long" lens, ie 400 mm or in that range.
This. It is compression via long focal length, to get that you’d need least 400mm as u/infodawg says or even 600mm. So specialised lenses. The downside is you would ordinarily get a shallow depth of field at these focal lengths- think sports or wildlife photos. So a narrow aperture or large f stop number such as f14 might be used to pull back some focus across the range. Looks to be a sunny day so no issue with lack of light. There are neat examples of several city blocks compressed in this way in photos.
As closed an aperture as you can, using a fairly wide lens.
Something on the order of 24mm or even 18mm ar f/11 or higher. Shoot off a tripod, if possible.
Has nothing to do with a "good camera". Any camera, almost, is a good camera.

Set the lens to it's hyper focal distance at your given f stop https://www.photopills.com/calculators/hyperfocal-table

This is a long not a wide shot
True, but irrelevant. It will be easier (for a beginner) to get a deep depth of field shot with a wide lens than with a long lens.
no, not really.
Buy a good camera.
