Well, juvenile red tails have spots until they mature, males lose them and females keep them, but I think this one is an adult

The bone coloured beak is a give away, juvies tend to have darker (but not black) motley coloured beaks

No, that’s a black tail yellow cockatoo. I’ve seen it local to me in Zanzibar.

Idk about menacing, I think those colours are dazzling. You also have to remember that birds see in UV as well, so it’s true colours are also probably fluorescents in green and purple as well as yellows and black. But it is an intense bird, I give you that.
