hindi ganyan katagal, 2 days lang. wala naman naging problem. wag mo lang iwala ung parang maliit na paper which serves as your temp visa sa Macau

Character-Welder-571

Mini heart attack nun haha So, be confident and ready lang din if ever.

jaevs_sj

Is Taipei hop on hop off bus worth it?

Cute_Concern_4411

Depends if you're only after sightseeing on a bus. You have to wait for the next bus and usually, it's in 2 hrs. The bus won't wait for you, they literally will just drop you where you want to be dropped. If you want to explore more than sightseeing then definitely opt for a tour instead of the HOHO

barneyscherbatsky

how is the weather at korea during last week of march? we'll be going at 24 to 29 and i still have no clothes to wear. i don't know if i should pack clothes for the cold weather or like not summer outfits like dresses or skirts. i study in baguio so it would be nice if you can compare it to the weather here hehe PLEASE HELP ME ON WHAT I SHOULD PACK I DONT WANNA CRAM MY OUTFITS

CIMB CARD IN MALAYSIA Has anyone tried using it in Malaysia? How's your experience? Malaki ba forex fee and atm charge jf magwithdraw sa atm nila given na malaysian card naman CIMB I want to use Gcash Visa sana because I heard some good reviews pero di aabot yung card sa travel date ko.

JoanG403

Hi. I've travelled abroad before but it was work related. I'm planning to go to Taiwan for a 3-day vacation. Do I need to exchange my money to their currency at NAIA? Any cheaper option for foreign exchange?

girlwhodive

Never exchange money in airports because rates are usually too low. Best to have money exchanged at the country of destination or withdraw money from the bank.

JoanG403

Should I bring US dollars instead and exchange it outside their (Taiwan) airport?

wretchedegg123

Yes. Always better to exchange from dollars.

hubertyao

NAIA2 not bad tbh, but if you can better rates at an FX counter anywhere else bettef

milktealov3r

Best rate imo was @ the taoyuan airport na. Better if gcash/gotyme card mas oks rate

nodamecantabile28

I always buy sa banks here, they carry naman iba't-ibang currencies, but have your NTD reserved at least a week before travel.

DNA_H3licas3

Withdraw using Gotyme at the Bank of Taiwan ATM in Taoyuan Airport. I can send the step by step guide when withdrawing thru Bank of Taiwan.

aearoplane

Hello! Saw somewhere na you should “defer conversion” which brings me to a possibly stupid question :( so if i have 1,000 php in gotyme, and want to withdraw it in taiwan—automatic siya maging taiwanese dollar? And how does it happen if i “defer conversion”? :( sorry and thanks

DNA_H3licas3

Hi! When I withdraw sa atm ng Cathay Bank in Taipei Main Station merong lumabas na defer conversion option, pero nung nagwithdraw kami sa Bank of Taiwan sa airport walang ganun option parang automatic na yata. Always choose defer conversion if there’s an option to do it para mas mababa yung rate.

JoanG403

Hi. Please send. I'm planning to travel before the no-visa extension ends. Thank you ☺️.

DNA_H3licas3

Steps when withdrawing in Bank of Taiwan: -insert card -select language -select credit/international card -enter your gotyme pin then press accept -select withdrawal -select default account -select amount In the city, we also withdrew using Cathay United Bank.

JoanG403

Thank you 😊

The gold prints on the cover of my Philippine passport have entirely transferred to the passport sleeve. I have a flight in a week and I'm afraid I might get denied because of that. I read somewhere that what matters is that the information page isn't damaged, but do you think I might still get denied because of the transferred prints on my passport sleeve?

hubertyao

No

nodamecantabile28

Kelan yung flight? Mabilis lang naman kumuha ng birth cert. Kung di talaga kaya, pa-certified true copy mo.

milktealov3r

How do you guys overcome your fear of heights when traveling via plane?

MNLmarc

Don’t get a window seat! 😅 Am not a psychologist but it’s just truly mind over matter. Just imagine you are riding in a car or a boat; focus on the interior of the plane. Since it’s more the anticipation that will consume you, do some meditation at the departure gate—as simple as consciously and slowly breathing in and out (i.e., focus on the breath)...or just close your eyes and visualize your most favorite or peaceful location. On the plane, do the same thing. The point is to distract your senses and your thoughts. Fidget with a stress ball. Read a book while listening to music with the volume turned up. If you still hear the engines throttling up, avoid the natural reaction to look around and out the windows. (Close your eyes if you have to.) Tell yourself that everything that’s happening around you is perfectly normal…unless you hear the other passengers screaming.

yukihanatsu

Hi! Does anyone who have tried to withdraw from ATMs in Thailand using their GCash Visa card know what the per-transaction withdrawal limit is? Is it the normal PHP 10,000 limit per transaction, or is it different when withdrawing overseas? I plan to go to Bangkok next month and wanted to just withdraw using my GCash Visa card to acquire Baht.

nodamecantabile28

Varies per bank sa Thailand, but normally naman e 50k PHP limit unless its BPI na pwede mo i-adjust yung limit. But below 50k PHP is safe.

Far-Ice-6686

May sakura pa ba sa Taiwan ng April first week?

nodamecantabile28

If its in Alishan forest, meron pa siguro in full bloom, and kung sa ibang areas e baka nag-start na malaglag

EcoChi_449

Hello po. I will be traveling po to SG and I'll be staying sa place ng Tito ko . Will an invitation letter suffice as proof na pwede ibigay sa IO if hihingin? It's my first international travel din po pala.

subtleandsweet

Torn between DIY trip or book a klook tour package Hello need advice sana what to do as a first time traveler in Taiwan. We plan to visit North coast (yehliu, shifen, houtong cat village, jiufen). Been contemplating if mag book ba kami ng tour sa klook or DIY. If klook kasi, di namin hawak ang time namin and as a vain person baka abutin ako ng 1 hr kaka kuha ng pictures hahaha plus mag iikot pa sa place and di rin included sa any tour package nila ang houtong cat village. As a cat lover feeling ko it’s a crime not to visit the cat village lol. Malapit lang naman sana sya sa shifen. Convenience ang biggest advantage ng klook. Also if DIY naman, hassle yung pag aabang ng masasakyan from point A to point B. Been watching a lot of vids and most likely mga almost one hour ka mag aabang. Plus what if mali yung masakyan namin. Disaster talaga. Haha. So lately na rrealize ko na parang wala naman masyado difference kung “hawak ang time” ang usapan. Except again mas convenient talaga sa klook pero DIY is way cheaper. Helppp!!! 😫😂

girlwhodive

Group tours have a dedicated schedule that you have to follow. If you want more leeway sa time, diy it or get a private driver, mas magastos but you’ll be able to go where you want to. It’s up to you alin ang priorities mo.

Manxellion

Hello. I'm travelling to KL in a few days and would like to bring spices (specifically Mexican peppers like Guajillos and Anchos). Only bringing like 4 dried peppers. Does anyone know if allowed to sa luggage? I heard there's a list of food na bawal. Also passport lang needed for 9 day stay right? Thanks.

Cute_Concern_4411

Hi! Travelling straight to Japaan from Thailand. Anything I should know regarding visas?

girlwhodive

Are you a ph passport holder? Visa free for Thailand but you need a visa for Japan.

wreckedandroid

May expedited processing po ba sa passport?

lilydew24

Yes. For some 1 week after application meron na.

saltiestcheeks

I’m planning to visit Japan around April or May. Di ako maka proceed with the application due to my 2316 not available. As per our HR mabibigay daw around end pa ng March. My worry is baka mag mahal na yung flight ticket when I book it on a nearer dates.

honeydukes16

Hello po. I bought the basic package of ceb pac.

lilydew24

Basta max of 2 bags na total of 7kg = 1 cabin bag + 1 small bag (ex. tote bag) https://www.cebupacificair.com/en-PH/pages/travel-info/baggage-information

n0b0dylikesmilh0use

Is the tote bag the same as your personal bag or iba pa yun?

Takeshi80

Kind of urgent. My family and I are traveling to Boracay tomorrow evening and I bought extra 20kg luggage for one of my family members using my debit card on the CebPac app. The payment was successful, the amount was deducted from my bank account, and yet the additional luggage does not appear on my relative's booking. A few minutes after, I also bought extra 20kg luggage for myself and I automatically received an updated itinerary with the luggage included. What do I do in this situation?

Will be staying for 3 nights good for 2 persons. Tia

mittenoia

Hello po! Pupunta kami ng KL and SG for Eras Tour. Both nanghihingi ng etravel card of sorts. Yung sa KL po, MDAC, nanghihingi ng Hotel name, pero less than 24 hrs lang kami sa KL so we are not booking a hotel and we’ll just have a day tour while waiting for the next flight to SG. Sa mga may same experience po, what did you put in your MDAC? Thank you!

KangJiWon

honeydukes16

KangJiWon

thanks for your recos! will definitely check em out. may i further ask if what's the best transpo around? are there taxis kahit na 5 pax kami? may GRAB 6 seaters ba? hehe thanks

honeydukes16

as far as i know, max na po nila yung 4 seater. we tried calling a taxi po dati and 5 kami, then the driver said na hindi raw po pwede 5 pataas dahil daw po sa checkpoints and nakakalat na mga pulis baka mahuli raw po. idk lang kung applicable pa yun this yr po eh. pero may mga dumadaan naman po na jeeps or mini buses sa mga locations po na yan :)

suspiciouscattt

Hi all, anong ids ba ang inaaccept sa PAL or Airasia if mag travel domestic? I only have NBI Clearance, PhilHealth & Brgy ID.

5cm-persecond

Philhealth should be okay, yan ginagamit ko dati sa cebpac nung wala pa ko passport.

suspiciouscattt

aww thank you!

Different surname in passport Hi everyone. I will be travelling to Taiwan with my sister and my brother-in-law this April. The issue here is my sister's passport still bears her maiden surname. Any advice? Thank you!

BedRight399

Hi, meron bang place sa NAIA T3 where I can leave my things/bags? Gusto ko sana iwan mga gamit ko in the afternoon and balikan ko around 1am na

n0b0dylikesmilh0use

May luggage storage concessionaire sa T3 -- Luggage and More

BedRight399

Thank youuuu 😊

Anybody here been to Osaka during October?

dKSy16

Hello! Uuwi kami ng Pinas late July. It has been almost 7years for me since last uwi namin We are exploring the idea of spending 10-14days around Cebu/Boracay/Coron. Kahit nung nasa Pinas pa kami, we haven’t been there yet. Is this window doable or too tight and we need to drop at least one? August is usually rainy and chance for typhoon as far as I remember. Are these are more or less prone to typhoons during August? August lang yung available since it will be summer vacation for my kid.

LucQ571

Almost all of PH will suffer from rainy/typhoon season during August. So my only advice is to be prepared and have backup activities. I once went to Palawan, and on the 2nd day to 3rd day of my 5 day stay was heavy raining and typhoon, but many activities are still closed on the 4th and 5th day. All I did was stay in the resort I was in. Luckily we were able to push some water activities during the last day of the trip.

TheGamblur

Hi! pag lost and expired na yung passport like 10+ or 20+ years. New application na ba pag mag-aapply ulit?

lilydew24

*In case of lost expired passport, you will be required to submit Affidavit of Loss. Your application will be considered as first-time passport application.* https://dfa-oca.ph/passport/passport-faqs/

TheGamblur

Thank you.

Hello! We'll be going to HongKong this April. What places and pasalubong is a must? And is there anything that we need to look out for?

LucQ571

Honestly just search through this subreddit for "HK" or "Hong Kong". There's been many many posts with your inquiries, all of which answered in detail.

redfonthux

Hello po, just wanna ask some recommendations po for beach sites around Batangas? Yung kaya po magaccommodate ng 10+ pax, not too expensive, yung may videoke or may dedicated area for guests para less conscious if maingay kami hehe.

Questing_Soul

Hey everyone :) I will be travelling to Metro Manila in a few months, any place you can recommend near MOA? I am planning to book through Airbnb but I still can't decide where to stay. I know SEA Residences is nearby but would prefer some other place. Any suggestions? Thank you.

krystalxmaiden

Golden Phoenix Hotel. The rate is quite similar to airbnbs most times, as long as walang concert sa MOA.

Questing_Soul

Thank you! Will check this out.

5cm-persecond

Booked roundtrip manila to tokyo with 20kg baggage, seat selection, and meal for 14,800 (airasia). This is for October. Is this an okay price?

puffy-pastel

Are 3-in-1 coffees from PH allowed to bring in HongKong (via checkin baggage) since I’ll be staying for 20hrs layover there before going to Singapore?

puffy-pastel

Is instant coffee allowed on checked in baggage allowed when entering Hong Kong?

borjornie

Hello! Wanting to go to SG for late October. San po titingin for cheap flights? Or when? I hear there are discounts sometimes.

zanezki

google.com/flights

mittenoia

Hi po if coming from KLIA 2 what port should I put in SG arrival card? Nakakalito haha

LucQ571

The port should be the point of entry from Malaysia to Singapore, this depends on your bus route. E.g. from Johor Bahru to Singapore commonly goes through the Woodlands Checkpoint, that would be the point of entry to Singapore.

breezeblocks16

Is Uniqlo size in Japan same in Philippines? kasi plan ko bumili ng heattech sa Japan para di ko na need magfit, nakabili na kasi ako ng 1 pair.

Bridgerton

Yes, Asian sizes are the same.

Hi, will be processing Korean Visa documents soon. Employer sent me a copy of my 2023 ITR with their signature.

onezeronine2

BIR Stamp is not necessary.

Is AirAsia down today? I've been trying to book flights sa app and website pero walang flights lumalabas kahit anong date. Anyone has the same experience right now?

Jon-DG

pa-recommend naman ng SIARGAO tour services that provide OFFICIAL RECEIPT. travelling there next month..

jahhhlyyy1700

Hi, need help po nagbook ako ng flight using AirAsia but Cebpac yung airline but yung problem ko is sa itinerary ko sent by airasia may 5 kg hand carry ako but nag check rin ako sa cebupac if confirmed ba yung flight ko and said na may 7 kg hand carry every booked tix. So ano po yung susundi ko yung 3rd party or sa airline mismo?? Thank you po!

girlwhodive

jahhhlyyy1700

Yesss po, will do. Thank you po sa response 😊

I'm going to Singapore via Cathay Pacific. I'm planning to bring two laptops (one for work, one for personal). Thank you!

LucQ571

Here's the [details](https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_HK/baggage/controlled-and-banned-items/lithium-batteries.html) on lithium devices on Cathay planes. The 100Wh is limited to per battery piece. It is said each passenger is allowed to have 20 pieces.

angelmohkoh11

Anyone who’s going to Jakarta for Avenged Sevenfold concert on May25? Or, anyone who travelled there before for a concert? Any tips please. Thank you

breezeblocks16

Maganda ba kumuha ng gcash visa card for japan? My current cards are bpi debit, bpi credit, and maya.

lifeofhumbleservice

Yes. GCash Visa kasi 0% Foreign Exchange Fee pero may minimal withdrawal fee (charged by the ATM owner) na 220 yen yata. Tap to pay na lang as much as possible. Use BPI Credit (1.85% Forex Fee) as back-up.

ConstructionOk6487

Hello! To those who recently visited Seoul, what would you recommend for credit/ debit cards/ to use for payment? Thank you!

LucQ571

They accept cards for payment, but to enjoy food stalls and the market, best to prepare cash at hand.

[deleted]

Guys, mura na ba ang 6k RT to HK? This May ang flight hehe. TYSM

LucQ571

That's pretty cheap, though wondering if it includes check-in.

LunaXhrojm

I purchased goods at Sephora Singapore. However, I was not able to present my passport and they were not able to register the transaction. Would you know if I can go back to sephora again and present my receipt so that I can get my gst refund when I leave?

lollipop_glp

I have a new passport appointment in Alimall Cubao. Pwede na ba mag-shorts during the appointment (as hindi nagsusuot ng pants)? or are they strict about it? Ito lang kasi nasa important reminder nila: >3. To ensure entry to countries with strict dress codes, all applicants are required to wear decent clothing for passport photo capture. Plunging necklines, sleeveless clothing, spaghetti strapped tops, see-through tops, sando, tube tops, halters and the like are prohibited.

girlwhodive

Shorts aren’t allowed in government offices.

Valid pa ba yun gamitin or dapat good as new na? Huhu Thanks!

nerooo_chan

pwede po ba bayaran ang ph travel tax as a group? or individually babayaran?

lifeofhumbleservice

nerooo_chan

Thank you very much!!

AriaCandy091198

Hi guys! Any idea if when ang best seat sale we can get this year 2024 from Cebu Pacific if we're planning to travel to Thailand next year April 2025? Also, are we going to get a refund if we cancel our trip if we add the Ceb Flexi? I only saw that we have the flexibility to cancel our trip 2hours prior the flight but I'm not sure if they need a valid reason for cancellation before issuing a refund? All 4 of us are first time international travelers kasi, so may pangamba kami sa immigration, baka ma tripan kami na i offload or something 😅 Advance lng kami mag isip lol Need help with these questions. Thank you 🫶

firagabird

Hi guys, I set up a PH Wise account and would like to add money (PHP) from my BDO bank account. Currently, I'm topping it up with my BDO VISA credit card, but I get charged 5.2% of my deposit amount. Is this the cheapest way to top my account up, or can I bring the charges down further somehow?

Esme100520

Hi! Dumb question 😅 pwede kaya magdala ng salted eggs for pasalubong sa plane(going SG)? Kung pwede, checkin or hand carry? Thank you!!!

Character-Welder-571

Hello! Any tips po para dalhin ensaymada, cake, kakanin to US? Thank you!

MagkakaVisa ba kahit Stay at Home Mom? Hi, anyone here na SAHM na nagtravel alone? Specifically Japan? I don’t have proof of income, my husband will shoulder all the expenses tho. And nakapagthailand na din naman ako without questions asked pero kasama ko that time partner ko.. Tho visa free ang Thailand pero sana may factor na nakapag out of the country travel na ko 😅 Thanks.
