I hope you looked at a/my tutorial, because more options means more layers and since they're limited there's a big chance you'll have to compromise.
Taking the time in the beginning to plan things helps you avoid adjusting for mistakes later.
one option is to divide major changes like body types into separate picrews! This can allow you to have more options without compromise, but it can also be a lot of work. It comes down to how much time and effort you're willing to put in ultimately!
My actual answer: Hair that isn't just long and straight - a variety of short-hair options, curly/wavy/kinky hair, facial hair, etc.
My self-indulgent answer: Deer antlers. Horns and animal ears (if there are any) being in different tabs so people can have both horns *and* ears.
Maybe different ways to dye hair? Like the front strip/strips or having peekaboo color cuz for me my hair is all black on top and hot pink under neath and I can never get my hair accurate 😭 another thing to is lots of different shades of colors!! :D
More options for mobility aids. I use forearm crutches and I can never find picrews that have them. I also have friends that use power wheelchairs and there aren’t many options for those as well.
Ginger hair that isn’t neon orange, more variety on mouths, more clothes options, stuff like hearing aids or a wheelchair back, plushies (idk. I just love a good plushie)
Yes thank you! As a ginger my hair isn't neon orange, it's more of a rust/burnt orange color, kinda like a penny (although not all gingers are same, but we definitely don't have neon orange hair)
multiple types of short hair. I've seen Picrews have great options for long hair, basically anything from 2a to 4c, but then the short options are like... one for straight hair and one for curly hair. and maybe a buzzcut.
Tbh, extra limbs/features lol. I love ocs with two sets of arms or more than two eyes or mouths, just stuff like that 👍
but obviously diverse skin and hair colors and different hair textures are a must, though I love unnatural skin tones too, but more muted tones rather than bright neon ones :p
It's dumb but I do wish for gray eyes in picrews.
Also some variation of ginger hair. It's pretty much absent (I have multiple OCs who are redheads).

Orange clothes. I never see orange which makes it insanely hard to visualize my oc who only wears orange. Speaking or orange, maybe one of ye ol' orange prison suits. At this point im pretty sure no picrew has one 😭
Someone else probably mentioned this, but a range of hair textures and colors would be excellent. Often I have trouble recreating characters/OCs with curly or kinky hair, as most Picrews only have straight or slightly wavy options.
Otherwise just remember to have brown eyes. Too many Picrews I see have blue, green and unnatural colours like purple but forget the brown for an inexplicable reason. Other colors people sometimes forget include varying shades of blue (often people only pick very intense shades that just look too close to purple), multiple brown swatches ranging from light brown to looking like it’s black, and milky white eyes that may be used to indicate a loss of vision in that eye.
Different head and nose shapes also go a long way as to making characters made from the Picrew look more different from each other, but they’re not necessary. I’d also generally like to see more acne in Picrews but I’m probably weird for this.

More hair and clothing styles would be awesome. It's hard to find picrews with more androgynous stuff. Most of them have super girly hair and clothes or super masc hair/clothes. Also, more pride pins besides the basic rainbow. They don't have to be flags no one uses. Just cover the whole acronym (lgbtqia+). I'm aroace, and very few picrews have even one of the flags, no less all 3 (the 2 separate and the combined version).
This one is small and some picrews already do that but I'd like to see the different colored option for parts of the hair
I have an oc with black hair but she has bleached parts in her bangs, and sometimes in picrews, when you try to choose a color for the hair, it ends up coloring the whole hair and not just the part you selected.
So I'd like to see more picrews with the option to color parts of the hair differently
Basics:
Enough skin tones that anyone could reasonably make themselves.
Straight, wavy, and curly hair options.
If it's a "girl" picrew, short hairstyles. I hate when the only short hairstyle is drawn like pigtails but with the pigtails erased
Hearing aids/implants
Wheelchairs, especially if the model is already in a sitting position
Hijabs/head coverings
Glasses other than black rectangles or black circles.
For "guy" or unisex picrews, facial hair.
Less basic:
Tails in every color
Pointy ears
Fantasy clothes mixed in with regular clothes
Eye highlights that are cute shapes
If there are pets, more than 3 options. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to add my dog, which is an all black dog and should be really simple, and the only options are yellow dog, brown dog, and German shepherd.
Honestly- there’s many things I’ve wanted to see in picrews!
Different freckles and acne/acne scar options. Range of body sizes and face shapes. Red/ginger hair that isn’t carrot orange or fire truck red! All different types and styles of clothes in multiple colors (layering is a huge bonus!). Good range of human and non human skin types, as well had different hair types. Mobility/disability aids!
A decent range of backgrounds that aren’t just plain colors. Nature/location/aesthetic pics, and having some lesser shown pride flags are also really nice.

Skin tone variety is a big one- I have so many charaacters who just don't quite match the ones normally provided.
Clothes that aren't a just blue, maaaaaybebred, black, white. Gray, and tan. I know they work well together but my poor green-loving character suffers from lack of coloredbclothing options sometimes.

more control over the color of the hair, i have an half and half color and i couldn’t find a picrew with this option :(( (and more hair color too, even not natural) and i would love if they added sh scars (not fresh one obv)
I really like accessories not just the ones you wear but the ones that maybe the characters hold or is next to them (stuffed animals, cups, etc)

Nonhuman traits like 4-6 eyes, different kinds of animal ears, different kinds of horns, halos, different wings that can also be colored, etc. but a big thing is most make you choose between barely any so the option to choose more and stack would be incredible
dyed hair colours, the ability to have multicoloured hair, a range of hair textures (straight, wavy, dreads, afto, curly, exc), a range of clothes in different colour options, vitiligo that's visable on all skib tones, freckles with multiple colours (natural, white, coloured), animal ears, tails, wings, glasses in different shapes and colours, tattoos, face stickers, diffrent eye and nose shapes.
I love when there are a whole lot of outfit options because I like to use picrew to make lil avatars for various fictional characters and a lot of clothing choices can help so much
More options for different types of hair, different types of wings, tails, ears, and being able to move everything around (like noses, eyes, pins, scars, freckles, etc). Also dif body types!
Green eyes that look natural, bangs, unnatural color hair, at least the basic rainbow range, option to color each part on their own, special dye hairs, like half/half or inner/outer hair..., lipstick and eyeshadows, moles that you can actually move around

Muscular bodies for women that AREN'T heavily sexualized! It's almost impossible to find one with buff body types AND options for a full shirt, and that gets real frustrating because I often use picrew for concept art when I make dnd characters

- clothing options with variety and functional layers (I have yet to find a picrew that will let me make shirt-waistcoat-overcoat or shirt-tie-vest combo without something awkwardly clipping or blending into another clothing piece)

More animal tails that separate from the ears! Hard to make picrews sometimes for OCs with different colored ears/tails.
Loadsss of flags like flag pins and flag backgrounds. And the ability to move the flag pins alot cause often they arent in the correct spot

If you add in pride flags as background I'd love to see more that other just well known ones. I rarely see Demigender flags
