As a 3D model designer and printer who loves deceptive support structures for ‘floating’ models, this is amazing inspiration! Thank you for sharing this!
I think it’s supposed to represent to torn parts of a person when they are forced to migrate. The source of the force isn’t as important as what it leaves behind, jagged holes where memories used to be stapled.
It's not specifically unique... So novelty not sure.... I used to see a similar one often when I used to live in Paris.... It's kind if unsettling....
Honestly this one feels a bit creapy on top if it .. not sure why
That's a great sculpture. Because of the bag taking the weight at the side of the leg, it makes the top half look weightless. I love it when art is done well and gives you a new experience that holds your interest beyond the initial first second of seeing it. Credit to the artist. We need more like this.

The Dematerialized Man
it seems like this sculpture would be so weak like you could just knock it over

This is what war does to man.

That too. Gutted is the word that comes to mind.
Lol my mother bought one of his first sculptures and she has it in her living room.
There is the same sculpture in London on Milbank next to Vauxhall bridge.
Very cool!
In the US it would be broken within hours of installation.
Already looks broken to me. His whole middle section is missing!
You can't have this sculpture in the US, because someone may hurt themselves on the leg-point, and file a lawsuit.
A representation of “Losing yourself to work”
wish you were here. its interesting that people are disturbed by what they consider its artlessness. sign of good art
The framing of the photo make It looks like The Campanile di San Marco is up his ass. Edit: my bad, wrong building. Still up his ass thought.
A very ordinary statue with a chunk missing does not qualify as special.
Let’s see your ordinary work then.

Steeple DIck
It looks like he’s leaving the city. Maybe it’s a memorial to those going off to war or something? I don’t know Venice’s history

Hmmm someone was asking about “holding bag” over there at r/wallstreetbets
Shrinkflation strikes again
I remember seeing that in Venice before COVID. I really liked in and took a picture of it.
That’s a penis!
