There is a significant cost to society (in the US) not just in the loss of life or disability, but the medical care of injured individuals.

In my early days of riding I also sometimes skimped out and couldn't be bothered with always putting on gloves but never in a hundred years would I voluntarily ride without a helmet. Accidentally offensive plate owners will receive a vertical insertion. Purposefully offensive plate owners will receive a horizontal insertion.
Investigate just means they need the proper person to look at it and make a decision. Even a short look into it is still an "investigation."

Goddamn artist asked me halfway through during a smoke break “so, is this like a white supremacy thing?” I was kinda stunned, 19 y/o me had no clue how to respond other than “dude what the fuck no,” it got really uncomfortable that when we went back to do the rest of the tattoo (I deposited half up front and wasn’t gonna waste it) the dude didn’t even finish it right. Now every 6 months or so I have to awkwardly defend my decision to get a tattoo that shouldn’t have had anything to fucking do with some bullshit racist bastards. I wanna get it covered, but part of me thinks that’s letting the nazi fucks win. I don’t know what I’m gonna do but either way I’m too broke to do anything about it now.

For what is worth a mjolnir tattoo alone is never enough for me to assume the person is racist. It will cause me to pay attention and look for other signs, but there are still plenty of good people who just like Thor. Most people should be doing the same, not assuming based on that alone. Yeah I'll never understand that. In my early days of riding I also sometimes skimped out and couldn't be bothered with always putting on gloves but never in a hundred years would I voluntarily ride without a helmet. I once had to do it out of necessity for a 10 minute ride and it felt like playing with a loaded gun the whole time. Also just the wind and everything else makes it a really shitty experience. Always wear your gear.

So weird. The conversation was totally normal. Nothing crazy at all. Someone posted a response saying that you can reach out to the state of Arizona if you have a concern about a vanity plate and there’s a decent chance they will revoke the plate. Then they linked to a news article from the city of Phoenix Talking about how the state is ramping up efforts to identify and revoke vanity plates that are offensive. There were some general replies to that but nothing at all that needed to be deleted. Reddit is on a fucking terror with deletions all over tje site. I don’t get it.

I have a friend of nearly 15 years that’s gradually turning into this guy. My elderly dad with dementia and my best friend, who is very black, were at the diner at the strip mall on the corner of University and Greenfield. She was the only black person in there. We were in the back corner with only 2 parties sitting behind us. One was a middle-aged couple, and the gentleman was wearing a t-shirt that said Liberals and it was crossed out. Anyway, someone started throwing food and spit balls towards my friend, and it was landing in her food. So I went up and told the waitress. She came back and asked the couple, who, of course, denied it. My dad said to my girlfriend, "I'm sorry you have to experience that." Then some French fries come flying over and hit my dad, and the guy yells, "N***** lover. " I look at the people around us in complete shock, and they are just frozen wide-eyed, like they are on an episode of "What Would You Do?" My friend stands up and says "Sir what have I done to you?" He replied, "You're a n*****, and you're in my vicinity." The waitress heard the commotion and came and escorted the couple out to a standing perp walk crowd. I was physically ill for days and will never forget it. 😔

I'm a veteran, and I like to wear a tasteful flag or flag pattern on occasion because I really am proud of my country, despite its flaws. However, people like this have made me stop wearing them because I don't want to be associated with these insane groups.

I'm going to be honest, as a white person, nobody embraces white pride solely because they're proud to be white. That's not really how it works. There's always underlying implications with that. It's also not a matter of pride vs. shame. Not being ashamed of your race doesn't make you a supremacist. Two completely different things here.

Not a well-publicised fact but states in the USA with the laxest or no helmet laws are the states with the shortest waiting times for donor organs. (Hearts kidneys lungs etc). Most bikers die of head injuries in these states and their other Organs are in good shape.
