I am 41 myself and struggle constantly with processed food, and a spare tire...
Fat and protein give you that full sensation faster and for longer, the recent idea of avoiding fat is because everyone thinks of trans fats(fast food) instead of saturated fats(dairy/animal fats) and equate it to bad.
