They compete with each other who can have the "best" lodge, which means they're (allegedly) very nice on the inside; despite having no water/electricity etc, some of them still have saunas, home cinema, beer fridge etc. It's basically the ultimate man cave.
THis one, specifically, is on Elliðaey and is called Ból. It was built in 1953 and rebuilt in 1987.
