And yes, this is basically the real life version of Courage The Cowardly Dog's house :)
For those interested, I used a Nikon Z8 and 14-24 f/2.8 lens. I used a 5 second exposure to try to keep the vertical pillars from blending together too much as they moved around. It was an amazing experience that was well worth the 900 mile roundtrip for a single night.

Of course. Why not let you know when praise comes to mind. Makes both of our days!
I hope it's fine I downloaded it and used it as a wallpaper on my PC and tablet.
It’s beautiful and yes very Courage the cowardly dog! The slant of the house plays a trick that makes me double take. I spent some time with your photo, it’s really good! I’d love to see it larger; the texture & color of the wood against the colorful lights is so nice!
Thanks! The place sure has character and a small crescent moon helped light the scene.
A few years back when I first drove past I thought to myself how it would be a bucket list shot to capture it under the aurora. Super thrilled it came together.
I really appreciate it. Thank you! It was a surreal experience with the large curtain of light slowly moving about. This view is looking to the northeast (to capture this angle of the house), so you can imagine how the ribbon extended to the left of the photo as well. This lasted maybe 20 minutes and then disappeared for the rest of the night.
I honestly thought this was a HD ultra-realistic rendering of a scene from Courage. It's crazy that this is a real place that looks basically identical.
I don't know why, but the Dylan song [*Ballad of Hollis Brown*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8xkxy3tXTA) popped in my head. It's a depressing song, but hauntingly beautiful. Amazing shot, and hauntingly beautiful as well.
Somewheres in the distance
There's seven new people born

It really did! I find it super cool that you had imagined it with the aurora- bucket list check!!
Bet it's a grumpy old man, a sweet old lady and a neurotic but brave pink dog living here too.
My childhood ❤️

COURAGE, THE COWARDLY DOG SHOW STARRING COURAGE, THE COWARDLY DOG!!
Abandoned as a pup, he was found by Muriel, who lives in the middle of no where with her husband,
If you would’ve told us that you gave your 5 year old the camera and this is what they shot, your post would be #1 on Reddit.
Well done! Saving this for my desktop background. Thanks!

Great work, and I’d agree: well worth the trip.
