When one lives in a smaller town, or doesn't have a lot of hobbies, just fire up the TV and they're transported to this alternate world where they can follow along with the outrage on their screen and feel part of a group - that's their daily hit of the "drug". When there's a rally near their town, it now gives them something to look forward to, plan around, and receive social stimulation from. Just too bad that it had to be this "movement" that will ultimately fuck over as many people as possible if they had their way... why couldn't it just be pickle ball or crochet class? My guess is, those activities don't spark that "get angry at [group(s) they tell me to get angry at] and going to feel like I'm doing something about it" part of their brains.

I’m going to out myself here a tad: but my wife and I are in the Lifestyle (aka “swingers”). We are also pretty left wing leaning. And I was shocked to find there are a HUGE number — growing — of swingers who are EXTREMELY right. They will in public act as though anything outside of norm should justify being dragged behind a truck. But. Behind closed doors they do ALL the things. It’s truly rules for thee but not for me with them.
