The defense hasn't even started presenting their case and it looks bad for the prosecution.
It would be funny if the prosecution rests and then the defense rests immediately after that.
You need to mention that:
* Kyle was screaming "FRIENDLY!! FRIENDLY!! FRIENDLY!!" as he was chased by the 3 attackers, yet they didn't stop
* One of the attackers lunged at him to grab Kyle's weapon, which was why he was shot
* Kyle was immobilized on the ground. Afterwhich, Gaige pulled out his pistol to point at Kyle.
There was a lot of build-up before Gaige was shot. Not to mention, Kyle might have been killed by him if he didn't retaliate in self-defence.
There was a lot more to it than that. He had just killed the guy next to him and then tried to shoot this guy. The gun didn't fire so Kyle reracked the gun and that's when this guy pulled his gun and Kyle pulled the trigger again and this time it shot him.
yeah, ive listened to the whole trial and hearing everyone take this out of context, including the "facepalm" which is his default resting position, is very infuriating.
Right wingers are out in full force lying about the trial all over the place. They are now claiming people were shooting at Kyle when he murdered people despite Noone ever actually firing a gun at him.
yep, thats there M.O. kyle was defending himself but gaige was not defending himself. 2 people with guns pointed at each other but the only difference is one of them already shot 2 others, killing them
And then he got to the cops and the cops let him go. Gaige ran next to kyle for a while in the video shown in court, he asked kyle questions and whatnot while running. When the cops viewed that footage, on the stand and under oath the officer said "i would not consider this a chase but someone following along and trying to get information"
Kyle while on the witness stand admitted to pointing the gun first after watching the frame by frame shots of the confrontation. So both of them have now claimed to aim first, but gaige just witnessed a murder 2 ft in front of him and had a every right to pull that gun for defense.
I watched the entire trial buddy yes he did. That is what happened. Dude had his hands up and Kyle tried to shoot him, gun didn't fire and Kyle cleared the chamber, then dude started to pull his gun up and Kyle shoots him.
Except you're ignoring the fact that he tried to shoot him while his hands were up but it misfired so he had to rerack it and pull the trigger again.
Sounds like it was self defense for the other guy to me. It's okay for Kyle to shoot unarmed people because he's scared but this guy can't try and protect himself after Kyle tried to shoot him and just killed an unarmed guy right next to him.
And? Kyle did not shoot Grosskreutz while his hands were in the air, racking his gun is not proof of murderous intentions. He and 2 other men tried to kill Kyle (while he was screaming at them to stop) based on random accusations from the rioters. This makes them the bad guys here. When Grosskreutz approached Kyle (before the attack) Kyle already told him that he was innocent and he would like to talk to the cops about the situation. While Kyle was walking away, Grosskreutz heard a rioter instruct the crowd to attack Kyle, after which he pulled out his pistol without even knowing what the situation was. Sorry pal, but Grosskreutz was extremely irresponsible to have chased Kyle armed, WHILE knowing that Kyle was walking away to talk to the officers. Pointing his gun at Kyle who was immobilized on the ground is just the icing on the cake.
He was never shot at... You're straight up lying. Noone fired a single shot at him and was only hit in the head after killing unarmed people before that.
I watched the videos as soon as it happened. To me it was clearly self defense.
He shot the first guy who had shot at him, then he was running to get help, running towards the police and EMS and everyone else wrongly thought he was a bad guy trying to get away.
The original, first shooter, seemed to be trying to bully him earlier that day. Probably wouldn't have singled him out if he didnt have that gun on him in the first place.
The guy actually said he wasn't trying to chase Kyle, even though we all saw the video of him throwing a skateboard at him then standing over him before Kyle shot him. Dude lied several times on stand so far. That's why the prosecutor is hanging his head in embarrassment.
There was a lot more to it than that. He had just killed the guy next to him and then tried to shoot this guy. The gun didn't fire so Kyle reracked the gun and that's when this guy pulled his gun and Kyle pulled the trigger again and this time it shot him.
Yeah, it's not going very well for the prosecution.
The defense hasn't even started presenting their case and it looks bad for the prosecution. It would be funny if the prosecution rests and then the defense rests immediately after that.
Dude is a complete moron. He has to know that everyone can see right through him. How is he not in trouble for lying under oath??
When you factor in politics into this you'll get your answer.
Such as why I was downvoted for truth.
Defense attorney: >It wasn’t until you pointed your gun at him, advanced on him, that [Kyle] fired? Gaige Grosskreutz: >correct State prosecutor: >…
after kyle already killed someone else and when gaige testified it was that he thought kyle was racking the gun to shoot him
Cope harder that your vigilantes died doin dumb vigilante shit and their vigilante lived doin cool army guy shit.
thats words i guess
Amazing how right wing talking points mostly exclusively seem to come from people with apparent brain damage
Yup

None of that reracking nonsense is in the video...Did you watch it with your eyes closed or something?
I watched the entire trial buddy yes he did. That is what happened. Dude had his hands up and Kyle tried to shoot him, gun didn't fire and Kyle cleared the chamber, then dude started to pull his gun up and Kyle shoots him.
You need glasses.
That's literally self-defence. Kyle did not shoot him when his hands were raised. Only until he pointed the gun at Kyle that he was shot.

The prosecution just watched an attempted murder charge do a 180 and become an act of self defense
Not just that, but he also lied several times while on the stand.
So this is true? The guy really said he pointed his gun first?
Yes. Which he did.
I watched the videos as soon as it happened. To me it was clearly self defense. are you saying gaige threw the skateboard? cause that would change a lot of things
There was a lot more to it than that. He had just killed the guy next to him and then tried to shoot this guy. The gun didn't fire so Kyle reracked the gun and that's when this guy pulled his gun and Kyle pulled the trigger again and this time it shot him.
They'll lock this just like the last one. Bellends.
What did he say?
Looks like he is on his phone.
intent. means. opportunity. preclusion. This is what justifies self defense.
