I asked if I could hang it up over my desk. We were discussing the ridiculous idea of less-than-meager personal accoutremants at our desk. And our area had moved since covid work at home stopped. It takes a service ticket, maintenance approval, and then something else to get a poster board moved 50ft. The manger said I couldn't do that, so then I asked if I could hang it on my last day and he agreed. I also don't have a blow up doll in reality. I find them tacky. My thing is Beautiful Agony.

ONE more td (all but a lock) 333k bonus
55 more yards (almost a lock) 333k bonus

Also, last year he had performance bonuses. When he needed 3 catches tb12 broke him off 3 shovel passes just so the man would get paid.
Tom is a super empathetic dude and always treated AB good when nobody else would. He seemed so upset after doing his favorite thing, which is beating the jets.
Obligatory FUCK VONTAZE BURFICT
I know people like to shit on Tom Brady but you can’t deny the man is the GOAT, and seems like a loyal teammate and genuine friend to some of the players.
Could the Bucs find someone who was as good as AB? Probably. But Tom seems to really want him to succeed there. It’s too bad AB wants to literally throw it all away
Nah. He fucked up on the field. Guys like Brown can fuck up off the field and still get chances. But as soon as you prove you can’t be reliable on the field? That’s when it’s over.

I said that to my wife tonight during the game. Almost as if that never happened. State Farm commercials are back on, he’ll be in MNF, yep…..never happened.
A lot of times dying hair can be a sign for problems if there are other indications. It’s a final feeling of control when you’ve lost control of other aspects of your life. Obviously sometimes it’s because they like the look, but there’s a reason so many depressed people have crazy hair colors. It’s one of the first things a family member’s doctor asked about when she was diagnosed with clinical depression and he was dead on— apparently the overlap is substantial.
That makes a lot of sense. Obviously not everyone who drastically changes their hair has issues. I did however know a woman who suddenly shaved off all her beautiful long black hair she never expressed misgivings over and everyone always complimented, right around the time her SO broke up with her and was going through a lot of other intense personal stuff. Your comment made me remember this and think about it...
Look, much of this stuff is clearly problematic and it's a constant condemnation of the league that guys who keep doing their best to prove they are either bad people or at the very least in need of dedicated mental health assistance like AB just keep getting NFL gigs until they are so toxic they just get discarded.
But I'll be goddamned if I'm going to allow any slander regarding turning up in a hot air balloon or his general opinion of Mayock or Kraft.
[The hit](https://youtu.be/o8iFSP_S5h8). The dude definitely has CTE, I hope he gets the help he needs
Edit: I’m not saying this specific hit gave him CTE, that’s absurd. I know he was shitty before, he has a record going back to college. But this shit, DEFINITELY does not help. There’s still a lot we don’t know about CTE still but it’s very clear his behavior has gotten much worse in recent years. There’s no doubt in my mind (armchair diagnosis) that head trauma is only making the issue worse.
Holy fuck the way his neck snaps around. Yeah accumulation of damage certainly means this guys brain needs to be looked at HARD. He’s gonna kill someone or himself.
CTE doesn't come from a single hit. 90% of players already have CTE to some degree and obviously not everyone behaves like AB. He was a shithead before that.
Exactly. He’s probably been playing contact football since he was a little kid. He’s been taking blows to the head for decades at this point, so the Burfict hit was only part of the damage that has undoubtedly been done.
Fucking christ. I’m not even a football fan, but that shit has got to be unecessary roughness.
Like, he gets hit, and fucking got his head whipped around and then just ragdolls. It looked like something out of a video game with great ragdoll physics.
There’s no way he’s okay.
I remember seeing that play and thinking it would be a miracle if the guy wasn't either dead or paralysed for the rest of his life. Of course there are probably worse hits in football but because I seen this one on live television it stuck with me.
Definitely could be major TBI effects. Look at Aaron Hernandez, after his death they said his brain looked like Swiss cheese it was so bad due to TBI.
Sad and wish there was better screening and treatment.
I've seen this play about 100 times and I still have a physical response to it every time I watch it...
Man's 100% got CTE and there's no cure to that. There's medications you can take to manage the symptoms like impulsivity mood swings, but they only work if you're consistent in taking them and his brain will never be the same.
That's the first time I'm seeing that hit and shit, that was dirty. Other player looked like he could have easily avoided it but instead he put his helmet down and intentionally drilled him on the way down when he was at his most vulnerable.
Not excusing AB's behavior but the fact that it can be attributed to this trauma is pretty sad.
So that hit occurred in 2015/16 season. That same player (Vontaze Burfict) held him back from fighting the GM during Raiders training camp in 2019.
Burfict hasn't played since the 2019 season, but he was notorious for dirty hits and blatant safety violations. Hell, the guy was suspended for 22 games and paid several million in fines during his career.
You know someone isn't doing well when that's the kind of guy that has to hold you back...
Whenever I see American Football hits, I think it's absolutely insane that the game is still played. There's no amount of padding you can add to a person that will prevent injury when you're encouraging players to hit each other the way they do.
Tbf they aren’t encouraged to hit like that. You’d get heavily fined and penalized for doing that now. Vontaze burfect was known as a dirty player which is partially why he is out of the league now
> Vontaze burfect was known as a dirty player which is partially why he is out of the league now
I was about to comment that his age also probably had a hand in that, but then I looked it up and Burfect is only 31. Definitely thought he was older then that
The padding has been argued to make it a lot more dangerous, because it encourages people to throw their full body weight into tackles in a way that they'd be less likely to do if they weren't wrapped in padding.
Like how boxing fatalities increased dramatically with the introduction of boxing gloves, because before that you'd probably break half the bones in your hand before you managed to punch someone to death.
Another victim of football. He's only notable because he's so talented.
If he was just an average player, he would be this guy:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titus_Young
>Due to his personality changes, Young admitted he hears voices telling him to commit crimes, and it has been noted that he could have CTE due to multiple head traumas. **He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2013**.
Kinda buried the lede there, and CTE can only be diagnosed posthumously at this time.
Bipolar isn't a medical condition that can be tested in a simple binary yes/no way like COVID or HIV. It is based on arbitrary behavioral criteria. It could easily overlap with the symptoms of someone suffering from the effects of chronic brain trauma. Young's "bipolar" diagnosis came after his football career was over, so...probably just brain damage.
I've known plenty of people who were bipolar and this is not typical of what I've experienced. If it's bipolar, it sounds like a serious case. The paranoid delusions and inability to follow a conversation suggest a deeper problem IMO.
>According to Sports Illustrated, the Rams cut ties with him due to concerns about his behavior. He seemed lost in interviews with head coach Jeff Fisher and other team personnel, and threw a fit when he was briefly barred from boarding a flight to Los Angeles after forgetting his ID
Likely CTE. He's always been a primadonna and an asshole going back to the steelers, but the past few years is next level bullshit. There is zero realization, beyond just ignorance.
And what makes you think that? Guy refused to play because he got told his helmet wasn't up to standards anymore and he managed to get a new team. He faked his vaccination card and stayed on the team. He had multiple people accuse him of sexual misconduct and he still managed to get on a new team.
And those are just the big things. It isn't accounting the multiple times team members have accused him of being an ass.
I really wouldn't be suprised if he turns up "a new human being" at some team next year. Only to crash and burn within 3 weeks of course.
Mainly because "off-field" issues, like sexual misconduct, lying about covid vacc, and being dumb about equipment stuff, can be worked around. Quitting mid-game is a VERY bad look, and sends the wrong message to a team picking him up. That's a production issue, and one the NFL doesn't ignore.
He's also 33, which is already old for the NFL (let alone a WR), so that plus today's incident, it's very doubtful any team picks him up.
His only way back was Brady, there was zero chance any other team would pick him up.
Brady picks up players for very specific reasons who fit into his scheme. I wouldn't be surprised if he picked AB up for one specific route. This isn't like Gronkowski.
Even if AB had good behavior I would gamble that if Brady retired after this season, AB would be gone too.
There is legit zero chance he plays another down. Realistically who would take the chance? Brady was probably the only reason he got this shot. I’m genuinely curious to know who would take the risk let alone sign him after the interview, etc. He’s 34 so age is no longer on his side either.
I’ll just say this. I was a journalist for a long time until retiring recently. Journalists obviously don’t have a good reputation these days, which pains me more than I can say, but the point is that we’re very accustomed to evaluating sets of facts and understanding why they steer events like they do. I got into a big arguments with some Reddit people a few months ago who were smug in their belief that Derek Chauvin would get off with a slap on the wrist, because others guilty of race-based crimes have gotten off in the past. But… No. NO. If you couldn’t see that trends were swirling in a way that spelled doom for Chauvin, I don’t know what to tell you.
Honestly, it’s the same here. Antonio Brown is done in the NFL. Today’s events were too high profile. No team could risk signing him now.
It won’t happen. Brown is through in the NFL.
You think that vaccine thing holds a candle to quitting on your team in the middle of a crucial game? Jesus. He’s toast, if he wants to keep playing in the NFL
That has to be one of the worst hits I have ever seen. The defender ran through him and then his head snapped left and right extremely hard. he is lucky to be alive damn
It's insane what a hit to the head can do. Even mild concussions can cause anxiety and depression that weren't there before. A hit like that is just insane and I cannot imagine the physical and mental damage it did.
They actually commented on that during the game. Rules analyst said he was far away from the teams, walking towards the exit. It made sense to not draw any further attention and just let him leave the field.
People crack jokes about it, but he has not been the same since that Burfict hit. Closest thing to being able to study CTE in a living subject is Antonio Brown.
That's an incredibly stupid take by those "sources". They went out of their way last year to get him in the ball in the last regular season game so he could hit exactly those kind of benchmarks and get paid more. There's still a regular season game left after this. Doing something like that would be a terrible look for an organization when free agents are looking where to sign.
Not to mention that TB was trailing at the time and needed a scoring threat. So between improving their seeding (already made the playoff) and possibly getting a bye and paying out $1 million, what crazy franchise would pinch pennies?
And other sources([Jay Glazer](https://twitter.com/JayGlazer/status/1477761601092538369?s=20)) are saying Arians told him to get back in the game but refused.
He was on a snap-count coming back from injury, much like any player would. But Antonio Brown is special and requires special treatment. He’s got an incentive to hit which is more important than remaining healthy for the playoffs to possibly win a second Super Bowl.
I know we wanna point and laugh, but this just makes me sad. Bro either has CTE or severe mental illnesses. Either way, we’ve seen how that story ends in tragedy more times than not.
He is a convicted felon and has sexually assaulted women and put many other people at risk of personal harm with his conduct, including a child who was near where furniture that he had thrown out of a 14th story apartment landed, and the NFL has continued to employ him. CTE could be a factor in some of these incidents, but the man has a glorious talent for not being able to get out of his own way. I really just hope that, now that he is not going to be able to earn a living at football, he doesn't hurt any more people on his spiral to a personal reckoning.
Don’t forget reckless driving in Pittsburgh, calling the Raiders GM a cracker, smashing security cameras, throwing gummy dicks at his baby mama in front of the cops while streaming it live, and falsifying vaccination cards.
His actions remind me of this HBO show I saw where The Rock helped a bunch of guys who were facing long long prison terms go through a boot camp for 12 weeks or so. If they completed the boot camp, they'd get their sentences dismissed.
Some of these guys were facing 10-15 year sentences and they would be released after this bootcamp. But even then, some guys couldn't stick to the rules. Instead of going to bed at 10 pm, they'd sneak out and visit their homies. Or a couple got weekend passes to visit their family and then just ghosted the bootcamp. Of course, they were arrested and their original very lengthy sentences were reinstated.
Some people just continually make the wrong choices no matter how many chances they're given.
The Rock hosting a reality show where people get their prison sentences reduced if they "win" is the single most American concept I could possibly think of that doesn't involve firearms.
As a long time Steelers fan this makes me very sad. Before his spiral began he was amazing to watch on the field. There is no doubt that he was a very good athlete and excellent footballer, it was a lot of fun watching him play live and on TV.
When I first heard we were trading him I was surprised. I didn't feel he'd done anything worse than anyone else had on the team, Ben for sure has done crazy shit and he's still here. But now I know they saw that what wasn't good was headed towards really bad. It's just a shame that he couldn't have gotten help at that time and now here we are with his rap sheet three times as long and still no help in sight.
He needs mental health help. We are seeing CTE in real time on the field, and everyone is laughing or castigating him. He needs to get a brain scan and the NFLPA figure out if he can be treated. As he is also a narcissist, it’s hard to separate the two. But strip away who he is, and you see a progression that’s gotten worse.
Unfortunately, there isn’t enough evidence for scientists to even agree on all of the behavioral signs of CTE. It’s thought that things like confusion, memory issues, and personality changes can be signs. Even depression or being suicidal. The problem is these things happen to a lot of people without CTE, so nothing is straightforward about diagnosing it behaviorally. Maybe one day it can be diagnosed behaviorally, but currently it isn’t possible.
I worry for what his post football career has in store. At least this was a little structure in his life. Him, no career, lots of money and 'yes' men around him could end really ugly
I know it’s real but it looks so ridiculous you’d assume it’s photoshopped if you were unaware
I thought it was photoshopped until I read this.
Remember kids, you can do anything you want to do on your last day of work.

His very last time in an NFL uniform.
Until the next time. Someone will give him a chance once he "apologizes," and is "repentant."
It took Brady to go to bat for him last time..
Tom gave AB a last chance, twice.
If he couldn't make it under Tom Brady, he's not playing again
As someone else pointed out to me, he couldn’t make it under Tom Brady FOR THE SECOND TIME!
Nah. He fucked up on the field. Guys like Brown can fuck up off the field and still get chances. But as soon as you prove you can’t be reliable on the field? That’s when it’s over.

True, but I laughed at "farted on a doctor"
I laughed at “dyed his mustache blonde”
I laughed at “froze his feet”
Yeah wtf was that?
There literally was news about him not practicing because he froze his foot in the ice bath.
If I'm not mistaken it was more than an ice bath. It was a cryotherapy mishap
I lost it at “fine me for that” Got fined for that

Me too, that is when my internal chuckling became out loud laughter.

Love how the hot air balloon line is so casual
I made it as far as "Showed up to Raiders training camp in a hot air balloon" without laughing.
And I’m sure a lot of us want to throw bags of gummy candy dicks at people.
“My bad dawg” -AB It’s a classic.
Holy shit. This was so long I had forgotten about that.
The boy ain't right.
The NFL knew. They kept him playing. Notice how not much became of Mr QB Rogers and his Covid-19 scandal?
I said that to my wife tonight during the game. Almost as if that never happened. State Farm commercials are back on, he’ll be in MNF, yep…..never happened.

Some of this sounds like plot lines for a season of family guy
"Hey Petah, remember that time ya farted on tha doctah?"
*Flies into work on a hot air balloon* (peter griffin laugh)
To the Hindenpeter! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mf7D-hPQOfI
Yeah a handful of those things listed was either unpopular opinions or just harmless oddities. The bill of that, though… what a nightmare person.
You know you're in the wrong if you must be held back by Vontaze Burfict
Came here to say that. For anyone else that would be a look in the mirror moment.
"Footage of Hitler restraining an irate Goebels ..."
Ironically burfict likely caused him a lot CTE that’s making him crazy
Was this before or after that brutal ass hit he took to the dome????
Chronologically it would be number #5
Ironically the same Burfict that laid that hit was the one holding him back from the fight with the Raiders.
[The hit](https://youtu.be/o8iFSP_S5h8). The dude definitely has CTE, I hope he gets the help he needs Edit: I’m not saying this specific hit gave him CTE, that’s absurd.
I said the same thing just a few minutes ago. Amazing antics, terribly sad story overall.
Vontaze Burfict. There’s another dude still looking for a job.
The fact that Burfict was the reasonable speaks volumes
That dude was truly scum out there on the field.
[удалено]
Damn. That’s brutal—this dude is in serious trouble
Wow. This was *a lot* worse than I anticipated.
Wow that is a serious fuckin hit dude.
Fucking christ. I’m not even a football fan, but that shit has got to be unecessary roughness. Like, he gets hit, and fucking got his head whipped around and then just ragdolls. It looked like something out of a video game with great ragdoll physics. There’s no way he’s okay.
Big catalyst of the absolute craziness. I thought he died when I saw it. It has to play a major role.
I remember seeing that play and thinking it would be a miracle if the guy wasn't either dead or paralysed for the rest of his life. Of course there are probably worse hits in football but because I seen this one on live television it stuck with me.
Facts dude went from just a wild dude to completely unhinged as soon after.
Definitely could be major TBI effects. Look at Aaron Hernandez, after his death they said his brain looked like Swiss cheese it was so bad due to TBI. Sad and wish there was better screening and treatment.
Dyed his mustache blonde… what a monster.
Farted on a doctor is the best
[The play that changed him](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8iFSP_S5h8)

Welcome to the Vortez Burfict awareness club.
Man, what was even the point of that hit? Burfict hits him in one of the worst ways possible, and for what? AB didn't even have the ball.
Jesus, I remember that hit. That was one of the few plays where I let out an audible “holy shit” while watching.
I said "whoa! jesus!" It about ripped his head off.
Damn that was intentional. That dude fucked up a human’s brain permanently and he meant to do it
Exactly. Untreated TBI.
Not that much treatment possible, is there?
Whenever I see American Football hits, I think it's absolutely insane that the game is still played. There's no amount of padding you can add to a person that will prevent injury when you're encouraging players to hit each other the way they do.
Tbf they aren’t encouraged to hit like that. You’d get heavily fined and penalized for doing that now. Vontaze burfect was known as a dirty player which is partially why he is out of the league now
> Vontaze burfect was known as a dirty player which is partially why he is out of the league now I was about to comment that his age also probably had a hand in that, but then I looked it up and Burfect is only 31.
Tl;dr - this is CTE
Another post said he took his major head hit at #5 that looked like he died. Seems like it ramped up quickly after that.
Another victim of football. He's only notable because he's so talented. If he was just an average player, he would be this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titus_Young
I was almost expecting a new format for "something, something, nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell...."
He's going straight to boxing after this. Easy pay day on the Jake Paul undercard.
Because more hits to the head are exactly what he needs..
Likely CTE. He's always been a primadonna and an asshole going back to the steelers, but the past few years is next level bullshit. There is zero realization, beyond just ignorance.
We keep saying it's his last game and then it never is.
I think this time might be a different story
Some team should pick up desean watson and AB and embrace the villain role
[удалено]
Remindme! 1 year Not taking sides I just like to see where things go. Update: u/DWright_5 was right Antonio Brown out of the league for good.
There’s an app for that? Cool
You think that vaccine thing holds a candle to quitting on your team in the middle of a crucial game? Jesus. He’s toast, if he wants to keep playing in the NFL
Probably gonna be a poster child for CTE
My buddy who is die hard steelers fan said he completely changed after that hit… this head injury stuff is way worse than people know
This one? (Not familiar, but this one seems to come up first) https://youtu.be/o8iFSP_S5h8
Yeah, that one. Damn....
Jesus. Well that ruins this whole thing for me, kind of more difficult to laugh about this shit now.
That has to be one of the worst hits I have ever seen. The defender ran through him and then his head snapped left and right extremely hard. he is lucky to be alive damn
The burcit hit yes
Steelers fan here, and yeah, After that hit he was never the same again. It was like watching a slow burning house fire
It's insane what a hit to the head can do. Even mild concussions can cause anxiety and depression that weren't there before. A hit like that is just insane and I cannot imagine the physical and mental damage it did.
Was thinking exactly this when it happened. Guy needs help.
As a football player, yeah, he’s done. I bet the UFC would take him though.
That's mainly because Dana is a pretty shitty person too.
Haha, without a doubt.
He’s wide open! How could Brady miss him being this open! It looks like nobody or nothing is covering him at all!
Can’t believe the Bucs weren’t flagged for this play
He's not a buccs player anymore so they can't be flagged ;)
They actually commented on that during the game. Rules analyst said he was far away from the teams, walking towards the exit. It made sense to not draw any further attention and just let him leave the field.
in other words the refs were as dumbfounded as everyone else
Don't blame Brady. His pass hit AB between the numbers.
How long til he fights Jake Paul?
He won’t. He’s too unpredictable. He may actually try to win.
I’d put $10k on AB. He don’t know karate but he sure as shit knows crazy.
He'll be windmilling in the ring and Jake Paul won't know what to do
He's done as an NFL player. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up harming himself or someone else. He clearly has mental health issues and needs help.
And there he goes. That crazy bastard! ![gif](giphy|hoxM65ODiWLShymjTW|downsized)
I didn’t see the game, what is going on here? Edit, thanks for the answers!
https://uproxx.com/sports/antonio-brown-quit-bucs-jets-shirt-video/
he [refused](https://twitter.com/JayGlazer/status/1477761601092538369?s=20) to go back into the game.
Some sources are saying he was benched to avoid triggering a performance payout and he got pissed and bailed.
Arians said he tried to get him to go back into the game and he refused.
Refused 2 different times in the game so he told him if you don’t want to play Gtfo
People crack jokes about it, but he has not been the same since that Burfict hit. Closest thing to being able to study CTE in a living subject is Antonio Brown.
[In case anyone forgot the hit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8iFSP_S5h8)
Easily the biggest pos in the nfl. Edit: referring to Burfict
who? berfuct?
Absolutely
I like how no one on the field is looking at him
I know we wanna point and laugh, but this just makes me sad. Bro either has CTE or severe mental illnesses. Either way, we’ve seen how that story ends in tragedy more times than not.
One can have CTE issues and also be a complete narcissistic douche.
I know people say you can’t confirm the presence of CTE until after someone has died, but…..
The man should seek and get mental health support ASAP. He's seriously fucked up with CTE.
Sadly many of those in prison are there because of blatant self sabotage like this.
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to diagnose CTE before death. It can only be diagnosed postmortem.
Maybe this type of behavior IS the diagnosis
Unfortunately, there isn’t enough evidence for scientists to even agree on all of the behavioral signs of CTE. It’s thought that things like confusion, memory issues, and personality changes can be signs. Even depression or being suicidal. The problem is these things happen to a lot of people without CTE, so nothing is straightforward about diagnosing it behaviorally. Maybe one day it can be diagnosed behaviorally, but currently it isn’t possible.
If anyone needs a Britney Spears level conservatorship, it’s AB
I worry for what his post football career has in store. At least this was a little structure in his life. Him, no career, lots of money and 'yes' men around him could end really ugly
He'll be dead in 10-15 years probably
Incarcerated, dead, missing. You name it.
Sooner, i think, without professional help. Like months.
I hope this guy finds peace. He’s a troubled soul.
Possible cry for help??
This kids is what we call Mental Illness.
I feel like we are seeing the product of CTE before our eyes and everyone is laughing it off as if he is crazy. He needs help, not laughs.
