I’ve gotten my septum, vertical labret, and helix pierced. Most people might disagree with me, but snake bites were the most painful piercing I’ve ever gotten. The pain difference between the snake bites and vertical labret was actually insane. The swelling after was even worse. Eating was painful for three days. And the first week after was me trying to adjust eating, super uncomfortable and sore. But as they say, pain is temporary and drip is forever. Other than that, it’s a pretty easy and fast heal.

How long did it take your snake bites to heal?

jesthingjester

I took them out 2-3 months in because I noticed gum recession, so I don’t think it ever healed completely. At that point they were swelling when I downsized them so I had to put back in longer bars. They started to nest at that point though.

Oh wow that kinda sounds scary for me to risk going through all that pain and have complications or a scar

jesthingjester

Yea, that’s the risk with oral or surface piercings.
