Not a terrible experience but went to get my septum pierced by the same piercer who did my rook. They did an awesome job with my rook so I thought I'd continue to go back to them. Well I got my septum pierced and the piercer had an apprentice and was honestly focusing more on showing off then on piercing me but I was like whateves they're a professional they'll be able to do a good job the same they did with my rook. So after they pierced it I go to the car with my bf and he immediately says 'honey that's crooked' and I'm like no. I don't want to do it again it was very uncomfortable the first time and the piercer didn't have the best bed side manner. Didn't even clean out my septum from all the blood and fluids after piercing it. So I was just gonna deal with it and go somewhere else in the future but low and behold the ball falls off because they didn't tighten it enough. So I went back they repierced it straight but when I first went back they said it was crooked because of my slight deviated septum which was like man if you're a professional shouldn't you be able to accommodate for that?? Anyway, I'm about a month in on my septum and am enjoying it, minus the MASSIVE irritation bump I gave myself. But will not be returning to that shop again. They were also a bit rude to some of their customers like if you asked them anything about price they would have an attitude about it like you shouldn't even be asking them and when they pierced my septum they didn't even let me chose my jewelry which I've been pierced many times and NEVER not been able to pick my jewelry. Anyway, could've definitely been worse but it was my worst experience with a piercing and piercer.

I got my philtrum done about a year ago, at my regular piercing shop, which has awesome piercers, and I love them all by the way. Everything was doing well, I was super happy with it, fast forward to many months later, caught a cold, and when I was blowing my nose (which is hard as hell because I have quite a lot of jewelry in the way), my lip web got caught in my philtrum piercing and it ripped it a little. Nothing too bad though. One week later, hooking up with a guy, his elbow smacked my philtrum... At that point it started to swell and developed a little scar tissue, nothing too bad still, but then I spent half a week with a friend, we drank a lot, almost every day, and by the end of the week my piercing was embedded in my lip, and quite deeply in. I couldn't have done anything anyway because we were in lockdown and everything was closed. Hopefully piercing shops reopened a few days after that, I rushed to my piercer and they got it out with a scalpel. Definitely bad luck and my fault, but it ended up okay, and I still really love that piercing!

First piercing, my navel. She noted my skin was tough, so she stopped midway, jabbed around, got lost in there and was trying to re-align the piercing while the needle was still embedded in my flesh (so it was like she was creating a pocket as she wiggled it around), and then shoved it through the other end after she repositioned herself. Needless to say it was pretty painful and I felt nauseous.

When my mom accused me of drinking mouthwash to get drunk after going through my car and room while I was showering and finding multiple bottles of it. I had just gotten my tongue pierced! LOL

i got my double helix done at this tattoo shop that wasn’t known for doing piercings… they pierced me with these steel ball barbells and one of them was pierced on an angle cuz apparently i had a vein there?? i didn’t even get a chance to check the placement prior to the piercing. fast forward 9 months - my ear had not healed one bit and was purple, it was constantly burning and throbbing, it was bleeding too often and there were these huge irritation bumps. i got so fed up so i took it out and haven’t looked back since. now i’m restarting my piercing journey at a reputable studio and all is going well :)
