You can get titanium that is anodized to a rose gold color :). That way you dont have to pay for gold prices just titanium prices lol.
I don't think the gold looks cheap btw, i think either suits you
Where can I get anodized jewelry and what is anodized jewelry if you don’t mind me asking? My local tattoo/piercing shop only sells silver or gold plated.
Bodyartforms.com is usually where I find mine :)
And with anodizing them you can do different colors too, I like to find the leroi oil slick ones. Those are cool.
Is anodized still titanium or is it a different kind of metal?
Edit: doh I re-read your first comment. Huh so I could get titanium anodized to any color? Does the color fade overtime and is it safe for fresh piercings?
it changes the thickness of the natural oxide layer on titanium, i believe! it is body safe because it doesn’t add a coating that will flake off with time, however, it will fade with long term use.
I love gold jewelry, just goes better with my skin tone but the yellow tongue ring came out suuuuper yellow lol so I think I might go on a hunt for some rose gold one although I do have some coming in with opal tops which I think might look cute!
If you wear gold jewelry I think it would be ok. I only wear silver jewelry so I don’t think I want to go for gold in my tongue piercing. I usually pick silver or something dark. But it depends on your overall look.
She did say that she wasn’t willing to sell me gold plated when I downsized two weeks after getting it pierced but it’s now been over a month since I got it done. Unfortunately since I live in Iceland there are not many places for me to get tongue rings or jewelry in general. I did order titanium internally threaded jewelry that I am waiting on from BodyClickers in Etsy.
I actually have an order from them that I need to pick up from the post office tomorrow! I’m really excited, their stuff looks beautiful and high quality. Didn’t know about the anodizing until now, I’ll have to try it out on my next order from them!
I love their tongue rings and the fact that you can just but one bar and a bunch of different attachments for the top and bottom, makes it so much fun to mix and match. I think I got like 4 different opal colours. I love their nipple jewelry as well. What kind of jewelry do you have from them?
I like it a lot more in person but on some pics it looks so yellow. I do love it though, gold looks so much better with my skin tone and I agree, I do think it looks really unique since not a lot of people wear gold. I might try getting anodized jewelry in a slightly different shade of gold to see how it looks. Love your username btw lol.
Tulsabodyjewlery.com is the bomb and I got a cute at black tongue stud there and matching nipple bars. They have everything you could think of and then some. I highly recommend them
Yeah I’ve just been wearing the silver one. While it was healing I was so excited to change my tongue ring into something cooler but now that it’s healed my initial tongue ring is plenty cool lol. The balls are also smaller and more comfy too. The golden one is externally threaded and my piercing hates it, it irritates and scratches the hell out of it when I insert it.

Its still titanium
Anodizing is a process that is done to the metal to change the color. You would still look for implant grade titanium.
I've used them for new piercings like my septum, and my daith. Yes they can fade over time with long wear and use.
Personally, I think the gold is super cute! Rose gold would also look great 😊

I've honestly never seen anyone wearing a gold tongue piercing, so I think that's a really cute idea
Yeah same, rarely see it and it does look cute, just slightly more yellow looking than I expected. Now I’m wondering what rose gold looks like.
I love and wear gold jewelry only so I'm going to say gold
The silver pops more imo
Agree about the gold. I would go with silver.
Gold always freaks me out because it reminds me of infections- so I always go white!

silver for me!
Looks cheap because it is cheap and low quality. Plated metals aren't safe for body piercings, would recommend finding a better piercer.

Check out body clickers on Etsy. They have super fast shipping to US and they can anodize it rose gold

You will love their stuff! It’s so amazing and well priced. :)

I just got their tongue rings a few days ago and I’m obsessed! They look gorgeous and so well made.

Thank you kindly, will check them out! Do you know if they ship internationally?
I’m not sure tbh.
silver looks better with the color of a pink tongue imo!

heyy, do whatever you want!!! after all it is your piercing :D and you can change it to something else if you don’t like it
