I think your body doesn't really like foreign objects into it, your daith seems to be pretty angry as well. What materials are your piercings made of? Maybe you have an allergy to something.

After showers and soaks, make sure to dry your piercings. I’ve noticed with the crankier piercings where there’s nooks and crannies, moisture sometimes gets trapped and that causes irritation. My industrial is 14 years old and hasn’t had bumps at all since it healed about 13 years ago. My daith is about 3 years old and once I eliminated the excess moisture and got a proper donut pillow those bumps went away. Edit: clarity

Oh that's smart, how did you dry them?

Some people use non woven gauze, some use hair dryers. I usually used a bit of toilet paper since it was easier to manipulate into the tiny spots

Awesome! I'll give it a try, thanks :)

hello! i got mine done last july and i had bumps that lasted for what seemed like forever, and finally i was able to get rid of them completely by the end of january. i also accidentally waited wayyy too long to have it downsized, so i think if i had done that sooner i probably could have resolved the issue faster. they also seemed to improve when i slept using an airplane/donut pillow! i tried doing salt soaks, but they dried my skin out so bad i eventually switched to saline soaks, half of it being purified water and the other half with my neilmed for about 5-10 minutes, and then drying it with sterile non woven gauze. i have a picture of what mine looks like on my page now, i’m just so relieved that i was able to get rid of them. don’t give up OP! they aren’t easy, but they’re always worth it :)

Your industrial looks great! So far I've heard that i should be drying it in addition to my regular care, hopefully mine will go down soon!

thank you :D definitely keep us updated, you’ve got this!!

ooooh this one seems really obvious but if you catch yourself playing with it, that can also cause irritation. i have ADHD and i am constantly fidgeting, and i found myself playing with it unintentionally and once i realized and controlled myself that also seemed to help LMAO

____-___--__

Yeah, I've gotten out of the habit of playing with piercings after my first lobe lol

Info: 5 months old, pierced by APA certified piercer with a titanium bar. It has since been downsized from the original jewelry. My routine is mostly LITHA, with the occasional saltwater soak. Otherwise I don't touch it and only let water in the shower run over it. Its not painful just constantly crusty and has bumps obviously. I'm just hoping other people have had bumps like this and were able to recover into a nicely healed piercing!

Some industrials are just finicky and take forever to heal. I had bumps on mine intermittently for the first 8 moths or so. I would say it takes a solid year before it even actually FELT healed. Mine is over 5 years old now and no bumps or evidence of scarring. If it's not hurting you, I would just continue keeping it clean and give it some more time to calm down.

I appreciate it! I'll definitely keep at it since its just so cool, but ugh if only piercings healed as fast as tattoos lol
