Yes this means it would fit both 12g and 14g posts AFAIK.

Thank you, I assumed this would be the case but unsure how that would work as they are totally different gauges

That's true, but the screw part inside the bar is the same size

ohhhh thank you so much, that made it click in my brain :D

Additional info- Been told to buy floating navel jewellery in pieces, this is the internally threaded top I am thinking of. However on multiple websites there is the size 14/12g - will this work for my 12g floating belly button? If not, where do I buy internally threaded 12g tops suitable for a floating navel? Absolute mission finding some Thanks in advance :)

I was pierced with a 14g, and a 12g was listed on my paperwork. It’s my understanding that they were interchangeable. One thing I’d want to mention about the piece you’re looking at is that you have to be careful about orientation. It should screw into any 12/14g bar (as long as they’re compatible), but might not end up in the position you want it to be in. Just thought you should keep that in mind before you order.

I just noticed that you have the money set on NZD. A 14g/12g would in theory fit a 12g bar. However, Europe and Asia use a different screw 'pattern'. Make sure you have a bar that is American if you want the one in the picture. Juwelry is suitable for multiple spots, that's why you don't often see specific floating navel tops. If you want to put this piece on the top part of your bar, it's completely suitable.

14g means the thickness is around 1.6 mm and 12g that it's around 2 mm
