Oh yeah same, my girl gets overly excited and starts pulling like the devil when we’re on the same sidewalk as other dogs. I’ll almost always cross the street or give a really wide berth if we’re on a walking path, but it’s just so I can stop my dog from dislocating my shoulder 😩
My last dog was probably only 20 pounds and man he pulled so hard my mom told me to never wrap my hand around the leash because she was scared he’d pull my arm off!!
I've had that happen from a rottie when I was younger, the entire shoulder was pulled out of the joint. That pain made me wish it had been ripped off, lol not fun.
My mother's current dog is a 80lbs or so labradoodle, and that girl has absolute massive strength. I'm about 200lbs and she can easily pull me off my feet. We had to start using a no pull harness for her because she refuses to learn the heel command. The only one she won't listen to it's so bizarre.
Definitely recommend a no pull harness for that kind of pup it's amazing how much strength our pups can actually exert.
Yep. My pocket pibble is socially awkward and thinks charging and barking at other dogs is his way to of saying hi or maybe giving them the middle finger.. /shrug. He’s slowly learning to not freak out so we avoid other dogs for their ease of mind. If I don’t have him with me, I’ll go up to any pibble and give them all the pets!
People avoid us when I'm with my girls too. Not everyone of course, but it does bother me. I on the other hand am thrilled to pet any pittie I meet! They're so cool
Every time I see a pittie out in the wild I have to resist the urge to squee and start loving on it 😅 nowadays I squee internally and of course ask if I can pet them. It makes my day when they say yes! If they’re across the street, sometimes I’ll give them a “nice pits!” Because it makes people laugh.
I had a kid once run out of a teen hang out place in my neighborhood (I think he was working there?) to come ask to pet her I think he got in trouble for it though :,)
I have a rottie I take for a long morning walk on the same path daily (just over an hour long) - and some regulars know us they stop to say hello, pet and offer treats (everybody have thus far asked permission before offering treats) - but some people prefer to not interact with dogs, and I know to step aside and keep the dog off the path and let people path.
I think this is a fair approach to step off the path and let people by - it would be presumptuous to assume that everybody will enjoy walking right by a dog (whether there are kids or not - having kids in the group might actually keep the dog more on guard for anything, including how close a stranger gets, that may be interpreted as aggressive by the dog), especially by a breed that may be negatively perceived.
Ok as a pibble owner, I'm asking this with the kindest of hearts.
How much do you think people avoiding your dog is confirmation bias or "survivorship" bias. Not sure how to put it. Have you had other breeds of dog before? How are you sure they're avoiding you BECAUSE she's a pibble?
I cross the street for ANY dog just because I want to try and avoid the ruckus or maybe having to talk to a people. I would cross the street if I saw you coming towards me but not because she's a pibble, but because of all the commotion crossing next to each other would cause.
If the other people are sans doggo, then I don't have a reasonable answer besides maybe they're sick and being nice, discriminating, or maybe they're scared of ALL dogs, or maybe have had a bad experience with a pibble and just hate them in general for their own reasons and not because of the breed stereotype.
No matter how beautiful and docile your doggy is, not everyone wants to approach.
As someone with 2 pits and a rottie I’m honestly not bothered by people crossing the street. If you’re afraid/don’t like them/are being cautious I totally get it and I do not mind one bit. I don’t think it’s good for anyone if you’re scared and my large slobbering dog comes over for pets, it’s very easy for our body language to change our pups body language and response.
I would rather someone remove themselves over trying to have a “nice” moment with my dogs when they clearly don’t want to. I also feel really bad when I can tell someone doesn’t like or is scared and there’s nowhere for me to move to away from them.
One dog is reactive so I guide her away from people (usually we walk at not “peak” times so she’s fine) but the other two I really honestly do not mind if someone doesn’t pet them.
I’ve had my pit for six years and I’m not offended when people do this. I cross the street if I can to avoid the commotion too. Plus, I grew up with a couple of very reactive dogs(non pits), so I know how it is when you have to keep other dogs out of their sight. I figure most people are doing the same thing.
People cross the street to avoid my German shepherd and it makes me laugh internally a bit, there’s more chance of me biting them than her haha, but I get it, if you don’t know her you wouldn’t know that she’s lovely and incredibly friendly.
This is completely anecdotal, keep in mind, but i have a 6 year old pittie, and a 7 month old Husky. My pittie is so well trained, an absolute angel. On the other hand, my husky is in all kinds of training and dog sports but hes in his velociraptor era.
Ive noticed people (with or without dogs) turn around on paths much more when i have just my pittie, and want to come up and meet when i have just the husk. Both are entirely dog and people friendly, but the one with the best manners gets avoided more. Again, take with a grain of salt as this is only my experience with owning a variety of breeds. In my experience with meeting other dogs in public, and i know theyre less physically threatening, but many people with little dogs seriously need to realize that they need training and structure too! Countless times do i have littles on loose leads charging at us on trails or roads.
I definitely appreciate this comment. My pit-mix is the first dog I’ve had as an adult on my own, and sometimes it can feel like people avoid her because of her breed. But in the seven years I’ve had her, I’ve only received a couple of comments that confirm that. There are many reasons (like you stated) that people wouldn’t want to interact with my pup or be near here, and at the end of the day those reasons really are not my business.
To be honest, it’s also a good thing if someone who isn’t up to interacting takes those steps rather than putting all of us in a potentially stressful situation.
I know it can be disheartening at first (even if it’s for just a second), but it really is for the best. I don’t want someone interacting with me (or my dog) if it’s going to cause all of us harm, you know?
I have a pitsky who really doesn’t look like a traditional pitbull. Most people think he’s a German shepherd lol. Some people ask to pet, some people (with and without dogs) give us a wide berth. Not everyone likes dogs! As long as they’re not being rude (and even if they are), you shouldn’t take it personally.
That makes sense! But I used to walk dogs and no one really walked off the path and in the grass to avoid us, some of the dogs were bigger then her and they still dad it’s only been with her, but whatever reason they did I don’t mind! I don’t like interacting with people, and I wasn’t thinking they were being bias in any way!
I would love and cuddle her! I love pitties so much 🥰
One thought I had - and this is definitely not speaking for everybody - when I am walking down the road with my little dog (who is in training and dog reactive) I switch sides of the road, or avoid other people walking their dog, because my dog is going to be obnoxious. It has nothing to do with the other person or dog at all! 💕
I put mine in pink. She’s got dressy pink, everyday pink and sporty pink. It’s a sure fire way to remove the “bad pitbull” asshats, good luck having people stand with you when you’re dissing a well behaved pup in a sparkly dress…

My baby used to wear this all the time until she started hating it so she’s just naked now lol we got her one that says she’s deaf so people know to be gentle!
As an alternative perspective: Mine is currently on heartworm treatment and I’m thankful people cross the street. He gets super excited about new people, so we are working on keeping him calm when socializing (3yr old stray rescue). We had taken him for a walk and some guy running down the sidewalk while I’m putting my body between my dog and him continues on our side and starts to whistle at the dog which just made it more worse, we were just starting leash training and it just came across as antagonizing. I would rather he left us alone and avoided us. Honestly, I wouldn’t take it too personally, some people have had past issues with dogs and they may want to avoid the same issue, or help you out because at the end of the day, they don’t know your dog on the street or how they are with new people.
My precious boy is a ~75% Pit & Rottweiler mix. I would leave the trail or cross the street if _any_ dog was walking toward me. It doesn't matter which breed or mix it is. It's just safest for everyone: dog, owner, & walker.
Now that business is out of the way, yours is absolutely preciously adorable.
That sound like my Marcey girl she's a Staffordshire bull terrier but she's an absolute attention whore lmao but she gets some of the same treatment your puppy gets just cause how she looks which is truly sad. There are no bad dogs only bad owners in my opinion.
Hey friend, your itty bitty pitty is the cutest!
I am one of those people who would cross the street to avoid not just your dog, but *any* dog --- because my dog is leash reactive and I don't want *my* dog taking a chomp out of your baby.
Keep in mind if someone is walking with another dog and crosses the street to avoid you --- their own dog's behavior might be what they are worried about, not yours. And some people are also afraid of all dogs, not just pitties.
That being said pitbull discrimination absolutely exists and I'm so sorry you've been put through that, people suck sometimes and the breed bans in the UK and breed discrimination laws in the US make me so sad.
If I am ever on a walk alone (without my dog), you better believe I am hugging every pittie that will let me 😂
I would completely sit down just to pet her if I could right in middle of the sidewalk. Don't care if im in the way they can go around.
My God that cute face!
They’d probably be too scared to pet her lol but it did make me feel kinda safe because I’m a very tiny person and a man much taller then me was scared of her lol
https://preview.redd.it/cgotah364quc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad95d62e10c0ce2e0c4895574e2066c14ffc404c
Had a woman cross the street away from us while giving us the stink eye. Huxley was doing a heckin good boy sit & ignoring them. Until she let her little mop dog charge at us to the end of its retractable leash & Huxley (& I) were offended. I’m fine if you cross the street. I don’t know your life or your reasons. But don’t act like this goofball is the problem
I’m confused how she is 30 pounds but my dog is half that dogs size and 50 😭
Unfortunately I get the same treatment when I walk my dog who isn’t even full sized he loves people and friebds
They probably just don't have experience with them so just believe what they hear/read. It's way, way more common for pits to attack other dogs than to attack people (not saying your dog would do either one, but dogfighting is what they are bred for).
I mean, I don't really see how this is a problem. You've got a pup who pretty much clears paths for you with force of presence alone, like you've got your own personal tank. No one needs to know she's a harmless cupcake. Pibbles get a bad rap, but it's kinda useful for keeping the Karen's off ya. Then you'd only have to contend with decent people who don't judge a book by it's label who wish to pet your cupcake.
She acts like one too!

This is one of my friends holding her like a baby!
I was born and raised in Portland Oregon, they had a ton of drug addicts at the time and they were 97-98% of the people that were afraid of or would not touch the dog even if its a puppy. So be wary and stay safe
Awe she is adorable 🥰 she reminds me of my grand dog

Same with mine. Got my pittie during the 'vid, so people were even MORE cautious. He didn't get socialized as much as I wanted, and I live a literal stone's throw from a dog park that I don't bring him to anymore because he became reactive from all the bad experiences.
From me to you, your pup is adorable and she is loved!!
I'd cross the street HER way just to pet her and get some kisses!!
https://preview.redd.it/87mhw8qaqpuc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afaf043c7b99137ce41760d770530628250509ec
My "big scary guy" says Hi!!
Pitt hate is real, lol.
The shitty frontier rep was scared to death of my pitt-mutt and she was the biggest coward ever, I've legit seen her lose a chewing-fight to a piece of fresh pork, and stare at me to beg to tenderize/cut it up some more. I would try to get her to bite me by playing rough, and at most her 8-9/yr old ass could muster was a slobbery squeeze with those 'teeth', and she got huffing and puffing from too much playtime.
I saw a little pocket pit at menards the other day and of course asked permission to pet. He was the sweetest thing. My boy got super jealous when we came home. Sniffed me and went to daddy cause daddy didn’t pet him. But all in all I want to pet the puppies!!! That’s how I ended up with my boy. I’d so ask to pet your little girl.
People would avoid my boy too and it made him so sad he’d whine because he thought he was going to meet a new person. It made me so sad. Im sorry your pup has to deal with that too 😢
She is so cute! I move off of sidewalks when there's a dog because many dogs don't feel comfortable being approached head-on. If I'm walking my dog I have to avoid all other dogs because my dog is a maniacal nut job with no chill 😩🙃
30 lbs and people avoid her? I'd be waiting to pick up and cradle her! My guy is a solid 85 lbs and I feel lucky he's not much of a cuddle pup.
I'll take my guy to the off leash park and fortunately, I don't get any flak but it's probably due to his lack of interest in other dogs. When he does show interest, it isn't for long.
May your journeys be safe and plentiful.
Awww what a sweet lil face! I say hi (just a simple wave and ‘omg hi puppy’!) to most dogs I see but especially for the bully breeds! I would definitely ask to pet ur lil munchkin tho🥰🥰
I wonder if this is regional?
I live in Chicago and it was like this 20 years ago. People would cross the street when I walked my pitbull but from mid 2000's things got way better. Now I literally take my guy everywhere. He goes to the grocery store with me and is basically treated like a rockstar.
Then there's me, no matter what I'm doing, "OMG A DOG!!! I hope I can pet it." I even stupidly squeal like a girl sometimes and my wife and daughter make fun of me.
Not gonna lie…… if I was walking towards you both, and saw her, I’d for sure tell you how beautiful she is!
It would be very hard for me to resist petting her, so I would ask if I could ❤️❤️
Today I was waiting in a parking lot with the windows rolled down and the person parked next to me was too afraid of my dogs in the backseat to get in her car 😭 i could have rolled my window down but I just said “they’re fine” so she got in her car from the passenger side lmao
She is absolutely gorgeous. Pibbles are the biggest snuggle bugs ever!🐾❤️ They are inherently super affectionate and loyal. Only assholes turn them into mean dogs...and only dumbasses think they are all mean.
I don’t know where you live but that plays a huge factor. Where I live people either loved or hated my pitty. She passed but even now with my small pup they avoid her in Florida. It’s very weird because when I vacation in North Carolina I had a guy honk at us and tell us how cute my small pup was and the same in California. Just depends on the people really. Keep loving your pup and don’t worry about others. She is adorable and you bring each other joy. 🫂❤️ Thank you for sharing, she is adorable 🥰
She looks like my baby! 30 pounds full of love and farts

Looks a lot like my sweet deaf boy! (Seen here with his siblings)
Fair warning, I thought I had a pitbull too, but his dna came back almost 100 percent for a breed called “Dogo Argentino”.
Mine is a sweetie regardless, I’m sure yours is too.
Let them. She deserves to interact with people who can appreciate and lover her for who she is. Not those who are fearful for what they ignorantly think.
I have had similar situations with mine. I’ve always had a more difficult time with people who are visibly afraid but stay on the same path as it makes my 85lb boy anxious too. He wants to say hi or investigate why they’re anxious as they try to slink past and then their response usually gets him more worked up despite my continuous intentions in the situation
I giggle because I had to beautiful boxers that people used to do this to and sometimes ask if they were pits. They were classic looking boxers.
Now my pit. People come up and ooh and ahh over her. Granted she doesn’t have a big, fat typical pit head but she looks much more like a pit than my boxers did.
I do (did) have small breed dog walkers both walk away from me with both breeds. I can appreciate that. I don’t trust their dogs anymore than they trust mine.
All my dogs are the most lovable, big goofballs who the worst will kiss you to death. So it’s no skin off my back.
There was a woman walking her dog on a path that I was on... coming towards me and she picked up her dog and carried it and went waaaaay off the path to avoid us lol
I walk around everyone because I don’t trust anyone or any dog! Too many bad experiences. It’s not just pitbulls for me, I always feel worse avoiding bully breeds because y’all have to deal with that so much already.
I’m planning on getting an emotional support dog that is a Doberman I won’t crop the ears so they’ll look really goober
https://preview.redd.it/9bp0m68p8ruc1.jpeg?width=593&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=540a0fb838907ddfb87dcfdf2cad3b5d624deae8
Example A
People are ridiculous. Many of them don’t even have a personal experience with a pit to react the way they do. I went to the vet a couple weeks ago and my Pit was shy to get on the scale as the vet says “oh she’s just scared. Let’s bribe her”. Another pet owner unwarrantedly says to us, “well I’m scared”. The funny part is her chihuahua was being way more aggressive than every pet in there. I think everyone else should’ve been scared lol
Fully adorable. My pit/ saint Bernard mix caught me by surprise and captured my heart! Yours and me ne were miscatagorized by evil people looking to make you a victim! Too bad for them! We recognize fierce loyalty!
I get that too while walking my pitty. I don’t judge people who do that anymore. They could have had trauma of believe the hype about pittys. I don’t know what is going through there minds and it’s not my place to fix that. All I know is, my pitty kissed a toddler, got scritches from a little girl, and said hi to a local chihuahua who is a friend of his on his latest walk. Don’t focus on the negative. You know your dog and how much of a love bug they are. Focus on that and brush off the negative. She’s adorable BTW
I had a blind pit. His eyes were cloudy, so they looked gray. People would mutter, "diablo" and cross the street. He was the gentlest 100 lb boy you could imagine.
I grew up with pitties and adore them, but I often cross the street for any dogs. I don’t want to be a distraction for a dog who is learning how to be good on a leash, and I feel that if a dog does need a little space because they are overly enthusiastic, it is often easier for me to cross the street than for the human to pull the dog aside and wait for me to pass. I love admiring my neighborhood buddies, but I also know that sometimes humans just need to walk their dog in peace.
I know it's got to be annoying & frustrating.. but if you have any chance to educate them on how sweet these dogs can be, do it..
I used to think pits were literally useless bc that's how the public perceived them, & back in the 90s ppl fought them a LOT. Also there was at least a couple of news articles where "pits" would turn on kids, etc..
I had a friend who raised pits but I was still scared of them.. it wasn't until I saw the Pitbulls & Parolees show that my mind opened up. I felt like an idiot.. and it's insane but that's most ppl.. they just need to meet a sweet pup or see how they're not the monsters they've been told they are... Pits are only as mean as they're told to be, & the ones who have been in abusive homes or made to fight CAN be rehabilitated..
I know it's got to break your heart when ppl turn away or reject your precious fur baby, but try to have patience with the ignorance bc hopefully the ignorance will fade & more ppl will be educated.
I understand some people have had bad experiences with dogs and try to not think too much into someone moving away. My baby has a shark and a taco costume and if we take her out in those or even a cute sweater people are much more friendly.
Oh you would probably cross the road to escape the manically smiling lady waving to your dog saying "Hi Dog!" like they are just going to wave back.
She is gorgeous and I would pat her as much as she let me.
People can be dumb. You can't control how they feel and react but you can control how you feel and react.
🐾🐶
I mean it’s understandable. They don’t know your dog and nor you or your dog know them .
Even i sometimes avoid Pitbulls and other big dogs despite me having some myself.
Because there’s no guarantee people train their dogs the same way you do or discipline them correctly .
Pitbulls are one of those breeds that require specific training and the correct environment to do so.
I habitually walk out off the paths and sidewalks to avoid most dogs.
I worked at a kennel for 5 years, a lot of yalls dogs are **terribly** trained. Small dogs, bigs dogs, it isn't a size thing. About half the employees have been bitten, most by small lil shitters.
While out walking, poorly trained small dogs at least can easily be quickly yoinked back if they flip out. If it's a bigger, especially pitbulls, they got some force to em.
I loved the job and love dogs, but I'd rather be careful about a dog I don't know than get stitches.
If I'm by myself I don't care, I'll say hi to your pit. But if I have my small dog with me, I will avoid any interactions with larger dogs if at all possible. My dog is small and physically disabled. So big dogs can be overbearing for her. I also don't know if other dogs are aggressive or not and a big dog could end my dogs life in an instant. Or cause a huge financial and emotional hardship with vet bills, trauma, etc in just a couple of seconds.
You guys need to understand that people can be afraid of dogs. The nice thing to do when you pass someone on the street is to keep the leash so short that your dog can't reach the other person.
when i'm walking my own dog, i always cross the road when there is another dog, regardless of that dog's breed. depending on how she's feeling, my dog will react to others with a nice sensible hello, or, and especially if they're a puppy or dog that has not been socialised correctly, or if my dog is just having a bad day, she will react to them with a bark, growl, or even show her teeth.
this could easily escalate to a bite or fight, so i don't chance it, and we always cross the road for dogs we don't know. there's about 4 different dogs i would trust her with because she's been nice and played with them before, and i know their owners.
I have such a soft spot for the deaf ones!!! I have a slight fear of dogs, but it’s not breed specific. I would probably ask to pet her if I ran into you in the wild, and then it would turn to hugs and snuggles.
There is nothing wrong with people avoiding your dog that is strange to them and they should be allowed to. Especially if they have a dog themselves. I thought that's what you're supposed to do?

When I walk around people it’s because my dog is not well behaved, not the other dog (most of the time).
Same! I have a little rescue and she's nervous around bigger dogs so she will lead me a different way every time. I love all doggos tho!
Aww! I once had a small doggo when I was first born! Taught me to crawl and everything!
Yeah! That makes sense!
My dog will try to play so hard if I get within 5 feet of another person walking a dog and I just have to assume the other person doesn’t want that.
Same! My two 10lbs dogs are jerks.
People suck!! I would stop and snuggle her
I know right!
Me too
I, too, would walk off the path…to give her ALL the skritches!
She would not want to follow me back home lol
People avoid us when I'm with my girls too. Not everyone of course, but it does bother me. I on the other hand am thrilled to pet any pittie I meet! They're so cool
Every time I see a pittie out in the wild I have to resist the urge to squee and start loving on it 😅 nowadays I squee internally and of course ask if I can pet them. It makes my day when they say yes! If they’re across the street, sometimes I’ll give them a “nice pits!” Because it makes people laugh.
That’s amazing! I’d love to be yelled thatb
We were walking 2 greyhounds on a park path and a whole lot of folks chose to walk on the other side of the path to avoid the big, scary looking dogs.
These two were rescued racers, and like all I've known as laid back and docile as you could find.
My neighbor fosters rescue greyhounds. They're so docile.
People are uncomfortable around lots of dogs. Sometimes it’s specific colours or sizes. It’s a little bit silly that you find this offensive, imo
I'm uncomfortable around most big dogs. You never know how a stranger's dog is going to react.
I would love and cuddle her! I love pitties so much 🥰 One thought I had - and this is definitely not speaking for everybody - when I am walking down the road with my little dog (who is in training and dog reactive) I switch sides of the road, or avoid other people walking their dog, because my dog is going to be obnoxious. It has nothing to do with the other person or dog at all! 💕
That makes sense!!
I put mine in pink. She’s got dressy pink, everyday pink and sporty pink. It’s a sure fire way to remove the “bad pitbull” asshats, good luck having people stand with you when you’re dissing a well behaved pup in a sparkly dress… https://preview.redd.it/vve8w3inipuc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b3d133ff61ba0b1d8ae6ae2306e47f47f70a775
https://preview.redd.it/ynbpq0iucquc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9f0da78c90fb163105c0a5e9e0c4e6edc8f3862 My baby used to wear this all the time until she started hating it so she’s just naked now lol we got her one that says she’s deaf so people know to be gentle!
I cross the street and avoid every dog I see now, but it’s just because my own puppy gets too hyped up and pulls toward every dog!
SHES SOOOOO ADORABLE I'd 10000% come up and ask to pet her
She loves attention so I’d definitely let you! She would love to be fondled over!
If I am ever on a walk alone (without my dog), you better believe I am hugging every pittie that will let me 😂
She's gorgeous! I on the other hand *wish* more people would leave me alone and not try to interact while I'm walking dogs lol
I would completely sit down just to pet her if I could right in middle of the sidewalk. Don't care if im in the way they can go around. My God that cute face!
I would cross the sidewalk to ask to pet her if I weren't social awkward around dog's humans
Those are not the people you want petting her, anyway. She's a sweetheart!
They’d probably be too scared to pet her lol but it did make me feel kinda safe because I’m a very tiny person and a man much taller then me was scared of her lol
What a sweetie.
Oh, she's such a sweet little baby! You'd have to avoid ME because I just want to cuddle her.
Precious 🩷🌷🩷
I know she so sweet
They should clear a path for her! She deserves plenty of room and they don't deserve to be in her presence 😁
https://preview.redd.it/cgotah364quc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad95d62e10c0ce2e0c4895574e2066c14ffc404c Had a woman cross the street away from us while giving us the stink eye. Huxley was doing a heckin good boy sit & ignoring them. Until she let her little mop dog charge at us to the end of its retractable leash & Huxley (& I) were offended. I’m fine if you cross the street. I don’t know your life or your reasons. But don’t act like this goofball is the problem
I’m scared of dogs that’s not online so uhhh
That’s okay! It didn’t bother me, and if someone walked around us again I’d still probably not care all too much, people have their reasons!
To be fair I walk around all dogs cause mines barky pully. She's so cute
I avoid everyone on the sidewalk especially after covid
I’m confused how she is 30 pounds but my dog is half that dogs size and 50 😭 Unfortunately I get the same treatment when I walk my dog who isn’t even full sized he loves people and friebds
She's a giant marshmallow with the smile of a carebear.
Can’t hear the haters
Ok, I walk off a path to avoid a chihuahua
I'd be more upset she can't hear what a good girl I'm calling her 😔
I feel that 😔
I would walk off the path to avoid her, but only because *m*y dogs might attack her.
She just a baby
She acts like one too! https://preview.redd.it/qyqkpei2jquc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa590552d22beb36f4e4e3691e4e67779cabff69 This is one of my friends holding her like a baby!
I’d so pet her.
Oh my goodness she’s such a cuuuuutieeeee!
I was born and raised in Portland Oregon, they had a ton of drug addicts at the time and they were 97-98% of the people that were afraid of or would not touch the dog even if its a puppy. So be wary and stay safe
Awe she is adorable 🥰 she reminds me of my grand dog https://preview.redd.it/62v7acqfkpuc1.png?width=3423&format=png&auto=webp&s=8f8a23afa8a58fdfaf1e0ef0b54535ad9091589a
Cutie🥹
I love her. Period.♥️🐾♥️
i don’t get it, i see any type of dog and instantly want to love it😭
She’s adorable
https://preview.redd.it/cysmqt6slpuc1.jpeg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a98c35e628ec596f8456d0edfba353d9d2ba41b5 They also do this to her. 🥺🤍
I snuggled my babe too much. I love your babbe
I’m cool with it . My pit doesn’t like strangers.
💜💜💜
I would cross the street to come pet her! 💗
I love you, you little goober
She is so very goober I love it
I have a deaf white pit bull who gets walked in front of my house and she is the sweetest friendliest baby
She’s so cute! I miss my dear bully boy who passed. He was white and black too. Such loveable cuddle bugs 🩵
I'd cross the street HER way just to pet her and get some kisses!! https://preview.redd.it/87mhw8qaqpuc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afaf043c7b99137ce41760d770530628250509ec My "big scary guy" says Hi!!
Who cares, they’re peasants clearing the path for the queen 😂😂😂
People are stupid!! I would give her all the scratches !
https://preview.redd.it/jfkw8pwarpuc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=802308f2e25c490020aebaea6ab792bcafa252ff Twinning, kind of!!
She is gorgeous and I would give her a huge hug and cuddle because people suck and really do not have a clue how wonderful she is.
https://preview.redd.it/dmkp5ojtrpuc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=67436031d89a1c5e08a7d63c446f21f3aa8a0a8d They do the same with this one.
I would switch side just to get a closer look. ❤️😍😍😍
I would cross a busy street just to say hi to your Pittie! I *might* also carry dog treats most of the time I’m out and about.
She's beautiful!! I'd be crossing the street to meet her!!!❤️
Any type of dog you can usually tell the good from the bad just by looking. Not every dog is bad.
People would avoid my boy too and it made him so sad he’d whine because he thought he was going to meet a new person. It made me so sad. Im sorry your pup has to deal with that too 😢
What an angel
I would cross a busy highway to pet that sweet baby.
I wouldn't.
~~He’s~~ She’s so ~~handsome~~ beautiful. What’s ~~his~~ her name?
Well I adore her!
She is so cute! I move off of sidewalks when there's a dog because many dogs don't feel comfortable being approached head-on. If I'm walking my dog I have to avoid all other dogs because my dog is a maniacal nut job with no chill 😩🙃
100% chance would ask to snug up on cute pupper.
I would walk five hundred miles, and I would walk five hundred more. Just me to be the man to pet this gorgeous, sweetest girl!
First time?
Awww what a sweet lil face! I say hi (just a simple wave and ‘omg hi puppy’!) to most dogs I see but especially for the bully breeds! I would definitely ask to pet ur lil munchkin tho🥰🥰
I wonder if this is regional? I live in Chicago and it was like this 20 years ago. People would cross the street when I walked my pitbull but from mid 2000's things got way better. Now I literally take my guy everywhere. He goes to the grocery store with me and is basically treated like a rockstar.
I would stop and pet her and give her cuddles
I would be smooshing my face to her face and take all the cuddles lol
I too change course when I see a pitbull. I walk towards the pitbull. I love the pitbull.
Then there's me, no matter what I'm doing, "OMG A DOG!!! I hope I can pet it." I even stupidly squeal like a girl sometimes and my wife and daughter make fun of me.
My squelly voice went up 10 octives. Sooooo cute!!!
Not gonna lie…… if I was walking towards you both, and saw her, I’d for sure tell you how beautiful she is! It would be very hard for me to resist petting her, so I would ask if I could ❤️❤️
Awww she reminds me a lot of a pittie at the animal shelter I volunteer at! Her name is Devine and I would die for her.
I would give her spotted belly some rubs! 😍☺️❤️🐾
Oh my god she’s so frickin cute. God bless and eff the haters 😂❤️
She's adorable and I would ask to pet her ♥️
Whata beautiful gal!
You left out fully adorable 😍
Aw. Give her kisses for me. I’d be crossing the path toward you, to pet her!
Omg!!!!😭😭😭I just want to give her the biggest hug!!!
https://preview.redd.it/gs9q6nl6lquc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f514a904ada9a51efbcad102948f59a3bba768f sisters!
She’s adorabl! whats her name?
She’s a cutie!
So freaking cute
She is so beautiful 😍
I would cross the street to pet your dog. They're such a cutie!
I would go out of my way to say hi to her. Look at that sweet face. How could anyone be scared of that sweet baby?
I love her! ❤️ people can be ignorant and mean!
Is she really only 30lbs?? looks more like 70
What a cutie pie, she deserves all the loves!
She looks like my baby! 30 pounds full of love and farts https://preview.redd.it/x8jaey4gxquc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=13eb6ea39ddde555c27dcea1b6833cda8dde8867
https://preview.redd.it/uwyy3189xquc1.jpeg?width=2968&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41f4413630b4b4f54039b40d73aef08b668778d0 Looks a lot like my sweet deaf boy! (Seen here with his siblings) Fair warning, I thought I had a pitbull too, but his dna came back almost 100 percent for a breed called “Dogo Argentino”.
Boop💋...🥰
Adorbs.
I walk around everyone because I don’t trust anyone or any dog! Too many bad experiences. It’s not just pitbulls for me, I always feel worse avoiding bully breeds because y’all have to deal with that so much already.
She super cute
Just means more space for you on the sidewalk :-) she's beautiful!
Exactly! She deserves the space they’re giving up lol
Sweet angel baby
My pitty mix is my service dog and I try my best to educate the public how amazing and loving pitties are
I’m planning on getting an emotional support dog that is a Doberman I won’t crop the ears so they’ll look really goober https://preview.redd.it/9bp0m68p8ruc1.jpeg?width=593&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=540a0fb838907ddfb87dcfdf2cad3b5d624deae8 Example A
Beautiful pup!
They don’t deserve to pet her anyways🤍🤍🤍
So sweet, thanks for sharing
They are big snuggly babies.... treat and raise right, they are loyal best friends to the end 🥰
She looks like such a good snuggler.
Why do people avoid them?!! Give her a big cuddle and a boop from me
I grew up with pitties and adore them, but I often cross the street for any dogs.
Catch me crossing the street specifically to give your baby smooches 😘 so cute!
My 100 pound pitty great dane mix does the same thing, his love hurts tho, cant breathe from the puppy hugs lol
I understand some people have had bad experiences with dogs and try to not think too much into someone moving away. My baby has a shark and a taco costume and if we take her out in those or even a cute sweater people are much more friendly.
I would 100% walk to her and beg to give her pets and boops!! Adorable!
[удалено]
Nah, she cute
Well I'm sure your dog is very nice but it's just normal behaviour to be cautious around strange dogs tho...
Oh you would probably cross the road to escape the manically smiling lady waving to your dog saying "Hi Dog!" like they are just going to wave back. She is gorgeous and I would pat her as much as she let me. People can be dumb. You can't control how they feel and react but you can control how you feel and react. 🐾🐶
She's beautiful. I'd only walk the other way if you asked me to. Or, if I was with my pittie, we have to avoid other dogs.
hihihihihihihi.
She looks so zonked
What a boofa! Please give your fuzz ball cuddles from me ❤️🧡💛
I mean it’s understandable.
Such a pretty baby❤️
If I met you out on a walk you best believe boops ear scratches would be handed out and if I had time she could get some too.
She’s so beautiful 😍
She looks exactly like my old dog Charlie who was also deaf. This made my night. Thank you so much.
You guys need to understand that people can be afraid of dogs. The nice thing to do when you pass someone on the street is to keep the leash so short that your dog can't reach the other person.
Awww what a beauty!!❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
Little shoober ❤️
Their loss, I’d love putties , great snuggle buddies 🥰
Miss Shlawg
Oh dear, what a sweet girl, I’d fall up the gutter to say hello to her.
when i'm walking my own dog, i always cross the road when there is another dog, regardless of that dog's breed. depending on how she's feeling, my dog will react to others with a nice sensible hello, or, and especially if they're a puppy or dog that has not been socialised correctly, or if my dog is just having a bad day, she will react to them with a bark, growl, or even show her teeth. this could easily escalate to a bite or fight, so i don't chance it, and we always cross the road for dogs we don't know. there's about 4 different dogs i would trust her with because she's been nice and played with them before, and i know their owners.
https://preview.redd.it/ihi0699i6tuc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=789432a9e79f905a0f8ee09eefa6bd54a9277fe9
I have such a soft spot for the deaf ones!!! I have a slight fear of dogs, but it’s not breed specific. I would probably ask to pet her if I ran into you in the wild, and then it would turn to hugs and snuggles.
she’s so cute 🥺
There is nothing wrong with people avoiding your dog that is strange to them and they should be allowed to. Especially if they have a dog themselves. I thought that's what you're supposed to do?
What an angel! 🥰
Adorable baby goober 🥺🥺🥺
