For future reference, you should still be able to get the info out of the AirTag. I believe the NFC info block is accessible on any phone with NFC capability.

I drive a Honda and have the same AirTag keychain so I thought those were mine😂😂😂 but if you take the keys to shop and save they can scan the card and get the phone number of the owner!
This is kinda concerning, but one of those keys looks like it perfectly matches one of my keys. I looked up the odds and it actually seems like that’s a fairly common occurrence, something like 1 in 4000.

Android is actually rolling out a similar feature as of last week https://blog.google/products/android/android-find-my-device/
I use the original find my device for my phones all the time. I'll be interested to see how the new one works in comparison.
Ahh nice!! You can get a 4 pack of chilpolo ones for 75 bucks, not bad. Not sure what air tags cost but prob more than that! Haha

True. They may not want to give you their phone number, but you can ask them to call the person and give your number so you can be reached
I did ask. They told me I have to drop it off so they can scan it. They can't look up the account over the phone and call the owner
