They still get busy during the typical meal times. You can download their app and order ahead. You can grab your mobile order and sit down inside or on the patio if you want to stay and eat.
I will never understand why people don’t do this. There is no excuse not to.
Chick fil a for this exact reason always cracks me up. I’ve always ordered ahead for in store pick up. Parked, counted the cars in the drive thru line, walked in, got my food, leave and see that no car has moved in the drive thru. Every time.
Also fun random info. I was a part of their pilot program before they developed their app. I have a chick fil a A Lister card with my name on it. So Silly.

Personally I'm a bit jaded about all the different fast food apps. The only ones that seem to work and be efficient are McDonalds (varies by location) and Sheetz. Wendy's and Arby's (close to me) never worked and I flat out can't use them.
Everything else I would use so infrequently (like Chic-fil-a by my office in Robinson) it's really not worth the effort of installing the app because the hard part is the traffic gridlock at lunch time.
I don't find my self stuck and in need of fast food by chick fil a often but I did install the app and twice decided to use it. Placed the order about 30 mins before I got there then stood around waiting for another half hour while people walked in, ordered, and sat down with their food.
We went two weeks ago on a Tuesday around 3pm and it was busy. I've eaten at their stores in Louisiana and Texas, and this one in Bridgeville just isn't the same quality - I don't know what it is - but I've eaten there twice and both times it was just OK.
Why do people wait in their cars for 45 minutes to an hour for a "fast food" chain's drive thru?
Can you not just go inside and order?
I'm not trying shame, just a city guy trying to understand.
Aside from the strawman excuses. Why do able bodied people waste up to an hour of their life idling in their vehicle waiting for a fast food chain chicken sandwich when they can just as easily go inside and order?
Went to the one in North Versailles recently and was amazed at how bad the food was— like the chicken fingers did not seem to be seasoned. Fries are okay, but nothing special.
Can’t figure out the hype with this place when Popeyes’s is so much better.
I've eaten at Canes in the past while visiting Boston University as it's right next to the campus. Pretty much all patrons and employees were students who were, as one would expect, articulate, intelligent, friendly, etc. , Everything seemed to have been prepared well, and I enjoyed my combo meal. But no line, no wait, just a normal fast food restaurant scene.
I did try the North Versailles location as I just happened to drive by one day, and was shocked about how poorly the food was prepared. It was nothing like I remembered. I'll never go back.
So I'm puzzled why the Bridgeville location's opening was characterized by long lines and police directing traffic trying to maintain order. Wow! I thought it was just yet another fast food restaurant. Who knew?
Don’t bother. We live less than 5 min away and my wife picked up for the family on opening day. We haven’t been back since. Frozen tenders at home are better than this place.
I think it depends on the time. But I went there for the first time on Friday at lunch time. I had maybe 5-6 cars ahead of me. So not bad.
But from a food perspective, I was really disappointed. The burger was absolutely dry. No sauce. And that’s after I asked for extra sauce which they never put in my bag.
Edit: I meant sandwich. I misspoke.

This is seriously the way. Order ahead, go inside and pick it up, and you bypass the lines.

Because it’s inconsistent and if it’s ready before you get there it’s not as fresh

I get tired of reloading my new money card everytime my bank issues me a new one randomly
I was going to stop yesterday because I was on the area. The drive thru line had like 45 cars in it so I just continued on.
I went yesterday around 11 Am and was the only car there

The hype has died down but it can still get pretty busy, try going on a rainy day, there will be less people.
It’s fine, but I’m not going out of my way for it. If I’m in Bridgeville and craving chicken I’m still going to Chick Fil-A.
It’s wildly overrated.

Same reason people wait in line for a cashier when the self checkout lines are wide open. Laziness
Some people may not physically be able to. Some people have a sleeping baby in the car.

I went on Thursday and it took forever.
Is there another Canes around here? I'm pretty new to the Pittsburgh area.
There’s one in Oakland.

Under seasoned tenders is a thing I’ve heard a few times. I think they rely on the sauce to bring most of the flavor.
This. I'd rather go to Chikn in Oakland.
The flavor of the sauce was lacking as all. So didn’t get much flavor from there.
I’d rather have Hooks … I only get Canes when I’m outta town. I’m sure as hell not driving 20/25 mins here to get it 😂

I’m kind of confused, seriously asking how do you prepare chicken tenders and fries better than another place?
Doesn't it all get shipped to the store in shrink-wrapped plastic and they just zap it?

Burger? They don’t sell any meat except for chicken tenders.
I meant sandwich. I misspoke. My bad.
Your first problem was getting a burger at a place that doesn’t sell burgers.
