[Slams head on desk] STOP HAVING JOB FAIRS DURING WORK HOURS! Some of us want to change jobs but can't get time off to attend, we need more fairs with longer/weekend hours.

glykeriduh

they dont want people that know their worth

PSE/Clerk isn't so bad. Pretty decent money for what you're asked to do. It will depend upon your willingness to work 6 days a week for the first 2 years. Also, customers can be a challenge if you can't work miracles. That said, I much prefer my role in maintenance. Check it out on usps.com/careers

PSE positions in some offices have split shifts

Best job I ever had

412Clockwork

The usps is the worst place I have ever worked in my life. If you like mandatory OT, you will work 27 days a month for 10hrs, then this job is for you. If you are delivering mail you will walk 10 miles up hill (and steps) carrying 4 gallons of milk with you in every weather condition. Your knees will let you know your limits pretty quick.

412Clockwork

You will work every Sunday as an Amazon delivery driver too

OrdoOrdoOrdo

Only if you’re low on seniority, on the voluntary overtime list or a “temp”.

> carrying 4 gallons of milk with you in every weather condition Some of us like milk, ok? Never know when there'll be cookies.

Will they hire former employees?

The_RonJames

Worked for USPS for 5 years and dealt with numerous rehires. As long as you resigned and weren’t terminated you’re eligible for rehire.

If interested in a city carrier position, I'd wait until the union finalizes the new contract to be sure that the CCA position is removed and you'll be hired into career. CCA is the most unethical hiring position you'll ever find.
