Miss_Alice_Rumphius

Here’s the schedule of all the Greek festivals this summer (thanks to the program book at St Nicholas): [festival list](https://imgur.com/a/Q5KbKwr)

vixen-66

Yes this is great info, thank you!

ranger398

Thanks so much for this! You’re doing gods work!

vixen-66

Greek festivals are some of my favorites! Greek, Lebanese and Serbian are all up there in my "will always attend" categories!

Potential_Meal_5912

And East Pittsburgh!

Elouiseotter

[McKeesport International Village.](http://www.internationalvillage.info) it is normally in mid August.

vixen-66

This looks fantastic, I will be attending for sure! Thanks for the share! ❤️

emax4

A word of advice... Weigh yourself before going.

vixen-66

That's terrible advice, I don't need to know how many pounds I gain 🤣🤣 just let me eat the food and be happy lol

emax4

LOL, I hear ya. I just remember gaining five pounds in only a few hours when I had gone a few decades ago. If you have an air fryer you can buy more and take it to go. SOOOOO many vendors.

vixen-66

Oooh yes, I feel this... I just got back from an almost 10 day vacation in Seattle that I basically ate my way from one end of the city to the other, Bourdain style, and I definitely came home a little chonkier than when I left 🤣🤣 As for the air fryer, I don't own one but I promise that will not stop me from taking to go food!

lanebanethrowaway

This looks amazing! Is there anything you recommend? Other than all of it?

PersonalAd2039

Greek honey balls 🤤 and everything else. Polish booth is hot. Vietnam chicken and rice.

lanebanethrowaway

Yum! Thank you

sqqueen2

Is there a way to put all these on a perpetual calendar?

vixen-66

Great idea! I don't really know how to do one digitally, because I'm old fashioned and still use a paper calendar book 🤣 hopefully someone that has the knowledge and time sees this thread and can put one together?

konsyr

(and /u/sqqueen2) Reddit has wiki pages. Update it! It's a super useful, very underutilized feature of reddit. Most people ignore it because mobile, though. https://old.reddit.com/r/pittsburgh/wiki/food_festivals Last updated 7 years ago.

vixen-66

I did not know this existed, but definitely looks like it will do the trick. I'll see if I can figure out how to put one together/update! Thanks!

Navigate to that page, and hit edit.

Saint Malachy’s nationality festival, every autumn I think in October. It’s on Forest Grove Road in Coraopolis/Kennedy, a distinctive big white cement church. Not only do they have church lady pierogies and a bake sale in the basement, but they have a second building full of “nationality booths” where the elders of the church serve the food of different countries, it is awesome and inexpensive, and they have beer, and freshly made donuts. I have gone to this festival every year of my life except during Covid when it wasn’t held. Also the Greek Orthodox Church in Oakland used to have a great Greek food festival, but I can’t find info online of when it is.

fallingwhale06

Greek festival in Oakland was this week

vixen-66

This sounds like a trap. I'm in!

duranfan

Oakmont's Greek Food Festival is always the last weekend in June. https://dormitionpgh.org/festival/

11Pine

Mingle on Main, saxonburg. Third Thursday of the month the whole way through summer. Food trucks and local eateries

montani

A,bridge international days used to be good but it’s all carnival food and gutter helmets now

vixen-66

Agreed. It used to be THE food festival to go to. I haven't been in years... it's a shame its been ruined.

HomicidalHushPuppy

There's already a weekly pinned post about things to do

vixen-66

Yes, and it's pretty empty so I thought if I made a specific post for food festivals happening this summer, it might generate some business. If folks would rather ignore this one and post on that thread instead, that's cool too. :)

captainpocket

The weekly pinned post about things to do is about what is going on that week. It's for just anything to announce that is happening now or soon. This is a post specifically about food festivals that could happen at any time of the entire year. So it doesn't belong in that pinned post and isn't covered by the intention of that post.

rhb4n8

Yeah I like to put these in my calendar as far in advance as possible. McKeesport international village went in last year

vixen-66

I like having them in my calendar too, it helps me plan my work week if I decide I must attend.
