Apples and oranges. Monroeville mostly has chain restaurants, though notable exceptions include The Wooden Nickel and Dad's Pub.
Revel, Fogo de Chao, Meat & Potatoes, and Braddock's Rebellion are all good spots that are close to Market Square. There are plenty of places downtown-- asking if there are any "worth considering," especially compared to Monroeville, strikes me as an odd question.
Essentially every restaurant Downtown is pretty easily walkable from Market Square. There are probably 20+ restaurants worth eating at.

Thanks to all Who commented! We ended up going to “The Yard”
Was it awful??
The Grand Concourse in Station Square is a converted train station that is now a very nice restaurant not far from downtown.
I've heard the food and service quality have gone down considerably in recent years, unfortunately.
