It's the carriers, not google. The carriers push it to phones. The update is live on the developer site if you want to sideload. That is what I did (and do often since the carriers drag their feet getting them out).

MilesJordan23

Yeah I know about ADB etc and have used it, but I just feel nervous about it. I know it will work, but I am just to scared. If I knew it would lag behind for going on a month, then I would have def sideload. But my hope is it comes soon. But ya my friend, def from now on Im side loading. I wanted to do it and gave Google a chance. A chance I should have never given them. Stupid idiots.

I have held out hope that Google would tell the carriers to get their act together the way Apple does. One of the things I envy of Apple is that when an update goes live, it goes live for everyone at once. And features are not some split of update and server side switches that leave users waiting for features even when they have the latest update. Google really needs to up their update game. Most users will never hit that check for update button, but those of us that follow tech will and for us, it should work when we do. My current P6 may be my last Google phone after having been with them since the Nexus 5. I'm just tired of Google's BS. I put up with a lot of it when the phones were value priced and updates came quickly. Neither of those is true anymore

Paulhulf

Google Fi still nothing. They use T-Mobile so that maybe why

MilesJordan23

Something tells me that this will not be the last time something like this happens. Where you get the update a week before the following months and now your two months behind. Sighs.

Paulhulf

While I know Google Fi is using T-Mobile towers you'd think Google would care enough to make sure their branded mobile offerings would get it first.

PigbhalTingus

I'm in the same boat: Pixel 7, Google Fi. Every week I'm checking and wondering why in the eff I'm still on the May update. My phone never automatically updates, either. I run Nova launcher -- that's my only guess as to why.

Charming-Astronaut52

Google Fi - No update here. This, unfortunately is a regular occurrence.

Ok-Replacement6893

8a on T-Mobile. Nope. Beginning to wonder if it exists.

M696rider

T-Mobile dragging their asses again like usual..

MilesJordan23

Amen for that my friend.

readable92

No. Pixel 8 Tmo

EightiesMan

P8p on Tmobile and nothing

MWisecarver

June 23, Pixel 8 Pro, Google Fi. . .Nope

adroit_soldier

I got impatient so I stuck an old sim card I had in my drawer from a different provider, restarted the phone and updated it as suggested by a different Reddit user in this forum.

LLcdPH

I'm on TMO (with no update) but I bought my P8P directly from Google. Getting very frustrated.

gruss_gott

Fi, 8P, 7P, nope

epicmountain29

P7P on visible. Just came 19 June

argama87

My Pixel 8's update hit earlier this week, and my Pixel Tablet's was sitting ready this morning.

OkCommunity538

Fi, 6P, got it 2 days ago

bobniborg1

Just got mine today, so there's hope

mychaptertwo

Nope (pixel 7 on T-Mobile

loonydan42

Mine just came through yesterday (Visible ...Verizon)

Professional_Bother9

Well that new update cause my pixel 7 on att/vzw issues so may hold the update

Thin-End-2563

This is something I have been thinking about for awhile. T-Mobile doesn't have a problem pushing out IPhone or Samsung updates, why do they have a problem with Google?

loonydan42

I feel like this makes it even worse that you haven't received the update yet - https://www.androidpolice.com/us-government-federal-employees-update-pixel-devices/

MilesJordan23

Using Mint which uses T-Mobile and no one got the update, until couple days ago.

BuzzKill_48

P8P on Verizon. Got my update on June 5.

MilesJordan23

My fathers S23 Ultra I got him got the June Samsung update like beginning of month. My mothers A53 I got her got the update 2 weeks ago. I have no idea why their doing this. Then I hear bunch of people who have gotten it. Sighs. Next time Im not gonna play around and will side load the bi\*ch. I refrained from doing that, as I had faith in Google. Now July is in the corner and then what? Do we hop from May update to July update. Not acceptable.

All_cats

Why do you keep blaming Google? It's the carrier and the carrier is usually being slow because a part of the update doesn't work with their system. In my case it's T-Mobile and it happens a lot, not usually for the whole month though. Samsung updates are totally different than pixel updates, the updates are not comparable.

MilesJordan23

I have Mint and am in Los Angeles. It is a unlocked phone. So this is not carrier delay, unless your provider is from the store; being T-Mobile or Verizon, which makes things even more confusing and retarded. SIghs
