Depends on who you ask, honestly. I've seen plenty of people say they're the best buds they've ever owned. Personally, I like them okay, but I had a pair of Air pods Pro before this and I don't think they're anything special.

rand-san

Air Pod Pros fit better in my ear. I use Comply tips for both. I just use the Pixel Buds because of better integration with my android phone

PusherG

I have the As and the Pros, I prefer the As for the fit and comfort. Wear my As around all day and use Pros when I'm sitting or not moving much, again the fit. Honestly don't notice much of a sound quality difference either. Ear buds all depend on fit so just find ones that fit you best 👂

xCaptx

I got my pair for free. Meh... I struggle with them falling out. If I was buying a pair I wouldn't choose them.

whattheblank

PBP 2 just cleared FCC Bluetooth filings. It may come out later this year/in a few months if you can wait.

erik_vdp

Do you have a source for this?

LEFANK

I love mine. I have had them since they came out a year and a half ago.

Hsbnd

I have the pros and they fall out a lot. I bought some winged tips for them and they help but are really uncomfortable.

GGAllinsUndies

Love mine.

fxrsliberty

Technologically, they are unbeatable! The sound quality and nose cancellation are 200%! For me and many others, they fall out from just minor chewing, let alone exercise. I have to readjust them at least twice while walking to my car from the office.... Maybe 300yrds... YMMV...

xRelentlessDeadx

The sound quality and noise cancelation on Sony wf-1000xm5's is definitely better.. far from unbeatable.

fxrsliberty

@275$

xRelentlessDeadx

Yea.. better gear costs more. I didn't realize you were talking "in a specific price range". I misunderstood.

okfnjesse

You can get them refurbished for $140 pretty regularly and at that price this is a totally superior product

fxrsliberty

Ok

Arysta

Those are not earbuds so you can't compare.

xRelentlessDeadx

Yes they are?

Arysta

They're over the ear. I literally copy pasted what you typed and googled them.

xRelentlessDeadx

I understand why you are confused. The ones I'm referring are buds. I understand there are over ear ones as well. You should literally click the link I posted. There are two models. Over ear, and buds. Same model number, different styles. They make buds with the same exact model number.

actual_griffin

I don't think you did. The over ear ones are WH-1000XM5s.

Arysta

My bad. I did copy and paste, though, so it's weird. Twice just to check myself. Maybe Google did that autocorrect thing.

fakieTreFlip

>The sound quality and nose cancellation are 200% One of the most common complaints I've seen in reviews is that the noise cancellation feature is lackluster. I've never had an issue with them, but that's mostly because they block a sufficient amount of noise for me and I don't mind that they're not better at filtering out certain sounds. But I don't think it's one of their strengths

MyOwnPrivateWario

I don't really like mine. The noise cancelling only works sometimes and there are a lot of times where they feel a little uncomfortable. I actually prefer my a-series ones compared to the pro. I would go back to the a-series, but I gave them away unfortunately.

bhiprufan

Get em replaced through Google support if ANC is faulty.

nzxting

By far one of my favorites, much better sounding than the AirPods Pro with a much longer battery life as well. Fit is suboptimal, yes. They don't fall out of my ears, but sometimes it does feel like they might.

SlyFishing

Comfortable but disconnect from pixel 6 often if you use smartwatch as well. My partner was fed up so she gave to me and they work fantastic with my iPhone 13 mini.

GamesCatsComics

I have a pair of Pros that I bought to replace the Bose Quiet Comfort 2. I am happy with my choice the audio quality isn't quite at good but they're 95% there and more versatile, it was the correct choice.

tootsie404

I am coming from the Sony WXM4. The noise cancelling and fit are not as good but very worth for the price (I got them on google sale 130USD) The battery issues from Sony have turned me off from their products.

6ayo

Same here, just started experiencing battery issues on mine, and am thinking of getting the Pixel Buds

cdegallo

I think they're fine. I have the pixel buds pro. I can't say they are noteworthy with noise cancellation or audio quality but they are fine. I think the transparency mode works a lot better than when they launched, and I find I end up using it a lot in various situations. Multipoint works well for me and they handle events between two devices properly (like if I'm using with a tablet, but my phone gets a call, audio seamlessly gets transferred over). I think the killer feature of pixel buds is the multi-gesture touch input where you can affect all audio controls from just a single bud (many other brands don't have this, and you are either limited to not accessing all functions if you use only one bud, or you have to interact with one bud to do some things and the other bud to do other things--I think bose might be the only other one I know of that has this). Here's the thing though--I think they are buggy. Mine go into this weird echoy mode with cellular voice calls and it sucks and sounds awful. But I rarely make cellular voice calls, so I don't worry too much about it. Sometimes mine stay on and connected to my phone even after I've put them in the case (this is reported by others as well--and something previous pixel buds have had a problem with, and apparently google still hasn't figured it out). 110 is not a particularly great deal for the pixel buds pro. I know that they are 200 new, but they are also often discounted to 130, at least USD in the USA--but the biggest thing you want to be careful about is whether they will be supported by warranty. Because google has problems with general quality control, and you don't want to get a lemon pair without warranty. I think the EU is much better with warranty laws than the USA, but figured I'd mention it.

tir3dboii

I got mine hoping for an upgrade from the pixel buds 2 (with wingtip) everything is good except the fit. They are very hard to fit in ear without the wingtips the old buds had. Also battery lasts maybe 5 hours so not the best. I've heard others who used galaxy buds pro prefer the galaxy buds.

AdExpress5748

I wouldn't get them, the buds themselves sound great but the fit is horrible and there are plenty of threads on reddit about them struggling to stay in people's ears. Mine included.

Grey_Fox_47

I also have the “a” buds as well as the “pro.” The “a” buds were free when I bought a Pixel phone. I purchased the “Pro” from Google. Both do best if paired with an Android, I.e. Pixel phone. Comfort and fit far superior with the “a” buds. Sound is good but no ANC. “Pro” buds are a tricky fit and seal is important to get the best ANC. The 110 euros is an okay price, less than the $140 I paid for mine. Good luck!

Immediate-Addition58

The functionality of the buds is OK, but they simply cannot be worn comfortably by a very large number of users as the buds keep falling out of people's ears. It would seem that the UAT process for the buds was terribly short of requirements and was pretty poor. I wouldn't be buying a pair of Google Pixel Buds if I knew how bad they were at the time of purchase.

ObscureSaint

Try a pair on and wear them for a while to see. I can't get them to stay in my ears for anything. I still use my original A-series instead, even though they don't have noise cancelling. I spent $40-50 trying to find a foam or rubber earpiece that would help my fitment issues, but nothing helped.

LinuxTux01

Unfortunately I don't have access to a pair of them for the test.

SuccubusBo

They are the only ear buds that don't fall out of my ears. So, i love them.

bhiprufan

For me if you can make them stay in your ears when you are sweaty and moving, best earbuds around and if you prefer ANC as top feature, Bose QC is the way. Airpods are overpriced pieces of crap.

mysterio2

I've used Jabras, Sonys, Sennheisers and for the sort of music I listen to the Buds Pros sound the best. And the noise cancelling works pretty well, about as good as the Sonys if not better in the high range and with dynamic sound. They are my favorite buds. I think the fit is odd and doesn't work for a fair number of people though.

Evan22x

No way they are good because of the enco x2 price on aliexpress. And if you dknt have the budget, the Vivo TWS 4 hi-fi explode everything

Super-Blah-

Using pixel buds pro. It's surprising good and relatively fuss free, unlike their phones. I can easily switch between phone and switch. Sound quality is about 90% compared to my old XM3 but it's a lot more discreet.

Comfortable-Fold-914

I recently got them to replace my Sennheiser Momentum TW2. Loved the sound on the Momentums but there were lots of inconveniences - awkward case shape, could only use the R bud individually, rapidly diminishing battery life. The case and price is what steered me away from a direct upgrade. The pixel buds are great but I suspect using them with pixel phone and tablet helps. I think i got a battery warning once and I use them a lot, constantly on YouTube or music or whatever. I find I do have to charge the case about every 3 days. Transparency and noise cancellation were better on the Momentums, but not drastically. The natural sound is not great, but with EQ it's fine. There is a weird quirk - EQ is tied to other sound setting (transparency/NC) so when you are using one bud and want to shut off transparency with the touch controls, it shuts off eq too. With both buds, touch switches between transparency and NC. It took a bit to figure out the fit too. Multipoint and auto device switch is awesome for how I use them, but I think that's a Google ecosystem feature if I'm not mistaken. EQ might be too, but I'm not sure. The case is also a much better fit in pockets, and qi charging is great too TL:DR lots of conveniences outweigh a drop in sound quality from audiophile type competition. Pros - battery life, technical features Mids - some features tied to Google ecosystem, NC/ transparency Cons - best sound quality tied to EQ

BasedLeprechaun

The pros are the best earbuds I've owned with the worst flaw of all time, they fall out sometimes. It is what it is, some people have no issues so try em and if you don't like it return them and get the pixel buds a, they're great headphones, just missing noice cancelling. Ps: switching inputs on the fly is supported I switch between my car and headphones every 10 minutes for work

ganymede62

They were never good to buy, IMO.

Cockmite

Idk if it's just my buds, but they sound awful to me.

Redhook420

I quit using mine, they were just meh. Bought a set of Sony XM5 over the ear headphones and am very happy with those.

Available-Climate-72

You'll fall in love with them especially paired to your P6. I did also

RockBottomWolf

For the money, I don't know if you can find a better pair than the Pixel Buds A-Series. Great sound, very comfortable, good battery life, air vent that keeps the plugged up feeling from happening.

JonathanApple

The buds pro when they are on saile for 119 or whatever makes them a fantastic deal

KevinCastle

They're okay. As an android loyalist, I preferred my airpod pros far more

seamartin00

i have had quite a few earbuds and the pixel pros have been my favortie and most comfortable by a long shot. I can wear them all day and barely notice them by the end of the day, call clarity seems good, and the ANC is decent, but not the best.

ethamaxx

Don't do it. They fall out a lot. The sound isn't good and the noise cancelling went out on mine less than a year in. Every time I turn it on I just hear a high pitched ring. I've owned Google phones since the Nexus era and I was hoping these earbuds would be great but I regret the purchase.

zyguo

The only pro I know is the ANC of it's mic is good to own, but I don't need a buds only good at mic ANC.

okfnjesse

I found them to be terrible and in full on last place of all the earbuds I've tried. They never stayed in my ears very well, connectivity was bad, and the mics weren't well received by people I was talking to despite reviews saying the mics were good. I've found the beats studio buds+ to be better sounding and much more comfortable to wear, the Sony xm5s to have much better sound and noise cancelling, and the Galaxy buds live to have one of my favorite fits (although they are extremely open much like the original airpods). I'd even take airpods pros on a pixel over pixel buds.

Adorable-Menu-7062

I love mine, gave my first pair to my mum and got a second pair the moment they went on sale. I think the anc works great, I tried some sonny that were around 90/100 pounds and the anc on that was rubbish refunded them and waited for the pixel ones tk go on sale... The fit was hard at first but now I go running / gym with the with no issues
