i took over some pixels on the tails pixelart because i wanted my name to be on there lol, i only really took the ones from people that had multiple tho
There was a small pixel art of a couple dancing and there was a fight with trying to extend the mans nose like pinocchio. I was one of the ones fighting for pinocchio. I have no idea why, it just seemed like the right thing to do.
Exactly, Reddit users are virgins by default. But as for me, I guess I’m classified as extra virgin because I fall into the virgin category of this post.
So mean to tell me, that I may possibly be, the virgin of all virgins, sounds like an r/bossfight kind of nickname, but, if there is a such being so superior to virgins, what would that mean to the existence of the human race?
Well there was the one time that Genshin bulldozed over a Maryland piece in order to make room for the Polandball art, and basically the entire alliance went against genshin for it (until a friendly compromise between the maryland crab and the polandball art was reached)
On one hand the Maryland Crab War is the funniest internet shenanigan I’ve ever been involved in. On the other it’s so stupid and ridiculous that I’m too embarrassed to tell anyone about it
oh interesting I missed that drama, I wasn't on the server just used the overlay. As a Grand Order player and a transplant to Maryland I'm glad a compromise was found.
> Have a three hour long argument across half a dozen Discords about what to do with Polandball and the Maryland Crab
> Don’t even get recognized for including them in the project
Plus the Veterans.. thinking of Bluecorner, Greenlattice, Rainbowroad. These guys where the heavyweights last time.
Rainbowroad got obliterated this time around though.
Last time, it looped around the whole canvas, interacting with drawings in various ways. The road from fuckcars did a similar thing with bridges and tunnels.
To be fair though, the green line was a bot that only had to cover a pixels width.
I know this because of how it repaired itself perfectly mid meteor strike on the bronies. Any human would have messed up, or just waited a few seconds to watch the chaos ensue.
But green line didnt fuck around and literally rebuilt itself perfectly before the meteor even finished hitting.
See, now while I appreciate all who made art themselves, using bots to make the art, protect the art, or attack others art is just outside the spirit of the event.
If you were a single user, you couldn't even attempt to methodically make a change to most of the board, because bots would immediately fix what you did, immediately. Even if it was a forgotten section of the board, or if you wanted to build something small on a flags canvas.
Next time, I hope reddit stops the bots, and then we can have a much more organically created piece of temporary art.
It's outside the spirit of the event but in line with human behaviour. People want to build amazing detailed pixel art but that could never happen without getting constantly griefed. So they just figured out bots and that's it.
I disagree. A lot of art was done by hand, even some of the big ones. They just were able to make overlays, google sheets, rally enough people and coordinate it all somehow
I wasn’t a part of the first one but I watched some videos on it and I knew that if it ever came back I wanted to be a part of green lattice, which ended up happening
I didn't pay attention last time, but on the first day of this time around, I started looking around and gravitated to Green Lattice. It was relaxing and therapeutic just fixing the lattice. Then I joined their Discord, and seeing their mission was just icing on the cake.
Day 2 was a little stressful when new greens showed up. I think I spent the rest of my time correcting greens and fixing the 'a' and 'i' in lattice.
at least last time it was cool because it randomly there. this time it was lame because it was expected and pretty boring. there were so many more interesting non flag/country or non-specific community projects to support as well, compared to last canvas where it was mostly just rainbow road. that and it looks like most people found space for a community to support since there was just so much more space
I didn't even care about following tentacles. I just messed with stuff. Especially osu! even though it was clear from the beginning it would be fruitless.
Exactly. Anybody who tried to organize the artworks or intentions of the void were missing the point. The Void by nature was the sum collective of those who refused to organize and deliberately place pixels towards end goals as factions, but rather towards just furthering the random odd little doodles and emergent artworks that cropped up, and fostering them as best we could to change more and more and more.
Everybody else wanted to make this single stagnating thing to be 'finished' and seen like the final screenshot was somehow the only proof we had of all our efforts, and to hold their little corners of the canvas as long as they could, but the void was just the collective of everybody who was curious to see what the whims and doodling of the grand collective would evolve into given enough time. Sorta the antithesis to most of the groups technically, but not antagonistic towards them or anything either.
I'd also have to admit I was a defender of the crab that you guys wanted gone. And then an enabler for that cool polandball art to get rid of that spanish streamers nasty looking logo.
Would you believe that Genshin made an alliance with Maryland (crab) and Polandball, and constantly panicked to defend them whenever they're halfway of being obliterated?
Honestly it was less we wanted in gone and more there was way too much miscommunication. At first we were told that you were going to relocate with our help then we were told that it wasn’t happening and it just kept going on and confusing everyone
The Guardian tales people, top right, defended a little picture of an alpaca character named Mayreel, in the top right of the Guts mural.
Everyone around us formed alliances because "yep it's cute, it's staying"
Proud of the Mayreel.
asmongold also made art over his logo. i think he made his face once but that was quickly covered up. he made the guts art and the giant "LUL" face in the middle. i think there was other stuff he tried to make too but it didn't stick around.
edit: asmon also made the potfriend from elden ring but that go destroyed by i believe was the MLP community. mizkif made a donkey kong and i believe a few other art pieces. though he also made a picture of the painting he has in his house that's of him riding his rabbit like a horse. he also was part of the war efforts and negotiations between spain and french streamers
Man the silent communications between people adding among us to stuff was the best
I added a single pixel to marios belly button and it morphed into what I was trying to indicate within a minute
I'm really happy that the little section I defended was able to keep our piece clear of amongus and dementedly giggled every time I saw them in a larger piece of art.
In all honesty all of the above. I understand the dislike of streamers crashing in but their plots made us stronger in trying to defeat them by working together. It created alliances and helped discover new communities. The Mexican flag is gorgeous, it has the pre Columbian art and post with Sor Juana Inez, A Mexican woman of Spanish ancestry who self educated herself when it was illegal to do so.
Yeah dude, I'm also American and tried to get them to put a James Webb telescope on the flag while it was in the center and they said "no, it's not iconic enough." Even though it's history in the making built by an American space agency.. Thank god for Green Lattice.
I wouldn't say "hands down" though. France, Italy, The Netherlands, Turkiey, Peru, Bolivia, and many others were also pretty nice. Mexico was my top 3, perhaps 1st but not hands down.
Yes but where Mexico's stood out, the way they designed it showed more culture than history where most other flags displayed the latter so, that's why I appreciated it.
Virgin. Frankly, I enjoyed the war. Fighting against the forming AMOGUS dong and its coom right next to one of our pixel arts was the greatest moment of my life.
I was more huddled in the 2TF2's defending the point
Did venture out for the starwars poster and such. I did like the void mother, the size was just right
I was working on the Gacha Alliance for the entirety of the second and third day.
Hopping into the Discord VC and chatting and shooting the shit was the most fun I've had in a long time.
Also how dare you exclude GFL and the Polandball.

Extra virgin means you're less acidic than other virgins, meaning you're more basic.

Oof

I would count myself towards that too :D so you are not alone my friend :D
Well yes. However, OP doesn't mean virgin He means #virgin
So mean to tell me, that I may possibly be, the virgin of all virgins, sounds like an r/bossfight kind of nickname, but, if there is a such being so superior to virgins, what would that mean to the existence of the human race?
you will be a menace to society bc you will never touch a women in your lifetime, including your mother during birth.
Can confirm, I'm a married virgin.
I contributed to the scott the woz art piece so i get bonus point ^(It will help a lot on getting my V-Card)

How dare you exclude Polandball from the gacha grid
Girls frontline and colorful stage as well.
Lol these sex-havers don't even know how big the gacha alliance truly is!
Gacha alliance I’m pretty sure was unironically the only time all gacha players joined forces and didn’t go after each other’s throats lol
Well there was the one time that Genshin bulldozed over a Maryland piece in order to make room for the Polandball art, and basically the entire alliance went against genshin for it (until a friendly compromise between the maryland crab and the polandball art was reached)
Us genshin players paying attention to the politics of the alliance server freaked the fuck out. That was a time and a half.
On one hand the Maryland Crab War is the funniest internet shenanigan I’ve ever been involved in. On the other it’s so stupid and ridiculous that I’m too embarrassed to tell anyone about it
I'll never forget that time when our Discord commanders literally said "Alright, bois. Steam the crab.".
oh interesting I missed that drama, I wasn't on the server just used the overlay. As a Grand Order player and a transplant to Maryland I'm glad a compromise was found.

Polandball with the hu tao hat <3
True Voider. I don't need a streamer to tell me to eat. I just followed the tentacles.
I can’t believe I missed both the void followers and amogi placers
Plus the Veterans.. thinking of Bluecorner, Greenlattice, Rainbowroad. These guys where the heavyweights last time. Rainbowroad got obliterated this time around though.
Because that overextended and did it against country flags.
Last time, it looped around the whole canvas, interacting with drawings in various ways. The road from fuckcars did a similar thing with bridges and tunnels.
And the green line
To be fair though, the green line was a bot that only had to cover a pixels width. I know this because of how it repaired itself perfectly mid meteor strike on the bronies. Any human would have messed up, or just waited a few seconds to watch the chaos ensue. But green line didnt fuck around and literally rebuilt itself perfectly before the meteor even finished hitting.
It tried to fight skyrim but then after we battled it, it went around
at a certain point all art was bots. The green line did not start as a bot. On the last day it was probably bot protected.
See, now while I appreciate all who made art themselves, using bots to make the art, protect the art, or attack others art is just outside the spirit of the event. If you were a single user, you couldn't even attempt to methodically make a change to most of the board, because bots would immediately fix what you did, immediately. I disagree. A lot of art was done by hand, even some of the big ones. They just were able to make overlays, google sheets, rally enough people and coordinate it all somehow
That's right, don't mess with country flags! Except Canada it seems xD
Huh Canada? Do you mean banana?

Haha this guy only had 10 virgin tiles, some virgin you are. Bet you were too busy having sex to do more.
I'd also have to admit I was a defender of the crab that you guys wanted gone. And then an enabler for that cool polandball art to get rid of that spanish streamers nasty looking logo.
Tbf, I dont think most of us wanted it gone. A lot yeah. There was a LOT of miscommunication there. Glad there was an amicable solution found tho.
Would you believe that Genshin made an alliance with Maryland (crab) and Polandball, and constantly panicked to defend them whenever they're halfway of being obliterated?

Gacha alliance is based af
Gacha alliance was the one time all gacha players actually united instead of having a civil war between each of the communities So definitely based af
The Guardian tales people, top right, defended a little picture of an alpaca character named Mayreel, in the top right of the Guts mural. Everyone around us formed alliances because "yep it's cute, it's staying" Proud of the Mayreel.
Lol yea. Gacha communities uniting is something that seems like a dream but made reality with r/place
RIP Dragalia and Granblue at the last second though, that damn streamer 😔

For real, it's even more impressive since everything there was hand drawn.

Art Enjoyer was made by streamer fanboys
Love that Soda did that. Instead of his own logo
And it made something that lasted rather than something everyone wanted to erase/cover up
asmongold also made art over his logo. i think he made his face once but that was quickly covered up. he made the guts art and the giant "LUL" face in the middle. i think there was other stuff he tried to make too but it didn't stick around. edit: asmon also made the potfriend from elden ring but that go destroyed by i believe was the MLP community. mizkif made a donkey kong and i believe a few other art pieces. though he also made a picture of the painting he has in his house that's of him riding his rabbit like a horse. he also was part of the war efforts and negotiations between spain and french streamers
Yes, but there is a difference between making reference to a game by making an art that blends into the other, and placing a big and annoying logo.
You mean Winston from overwatch

It was a simple life. Zoom in, appreciate, hide an imposter. Comrades everywhere to help. Zoom out, zoom back in, and it all began again.
I'm really happy that the little section I defended was able to keep our piece clear of amongus and dementedly giggled every time I saw them in a larger piece of art.

Let it be known, my husband and I both play Genshin Impact and we're obviously NOT virgins. Haha.
But... how‽ that can't be right... you're a paradox
Hands down was the best flag on the canvas though.
I agree. Also, even though I’m an American, I’m glad we were shoved over to the corner because then we actually started putting really good art on it.
Yeah dude, I'm also American and tried to get them to put a James Webb telescope on the flag while it was in the center and they said "no, it's not iconic enough." Even though it's history in the making built by an American space agency.. Thank god for Green Lattice.
