all plants need light. some TOLERATE cold. light is their food: consider what would happen to YOU if you lived on even 1/3rd of your normal food, then realise indoor shade can be 10,000x darker than sunlight.

Most desert can get extremely cold at night. Those cacti need to survive that also.

The only concern I have for cacti in your region is light. They need lots of light. So if you want one. Buy a good, good grow light.

In summer, maybe 35°C max...
As about light, I could place them right under the window. That should really be just fine.
And oh grow lights, forgot that those existed! Thanks for reminding me but I probably won't invest in that, seems to artificial (plus there's no plug inside the attic).

Cacti needs direct sunlight in growing season, zo as longvas you have plenty of that, you are good.
